Oh mr cheese , nothing ever goes to plan customers or the tools I’ve had the bolt cross thread on kma131 but think that’s down to me over tightening it apart from that it’s been a great bit of kit
Customers like that just make me want to give up altogether. Being born working class is bad enough and then having comments like that it really beats you down.
I think myself very fortunate, I rarely get flue or anything, if I do get something I just pass it off as a cold, a bit ill for a couple of days, but then just a tickle cough, been a tough couple of weeks for us, each night after work painting to get the house sorted, Sometimes a customer will come out and say there's mess on the floor, they assume we leave it like that, even if we have been going for years and never leave a mess, some just want to moan because its all they have to say throughout the day.

Happens sometimes mate customers always jump the gun I won’t clean up anything until the cuttings done now I sold my battery Stihl combi sticking with petrol for now Hope your feeling better mate - the moaning lady 😂

I've no idea why the plastic nasty electric stuff is selling and the price of it's utterly ridiculous. I'm so glad 95% of my work is second homes and everyone are regular well known customers.
It’s off putting isn’t it? It can throw you off balance comments such as that. Disturbing 😂 I try my best to cherry pick the jobs nowadays, but at the same time you never turn down work, unless it’s absolutely obvious they are a nightmare from the word go.. but sometimes we’ll take a job thinking the customer is nice or “normal” and during the job it’ll transpire that they really aren’t 😂 but that’s ok, just plod on with it and once you’re paid you never have to go back again, that’s the perk of self employment
Hi Mr Cheese, my goodness, I hate it when people make such comments. The words seem to drain the energy more than the work itself as they keep rattling around in the old noggin, even after the day is done. You are quite right to tidy as you go to save accidents (and mislaying tools)! Look after your health, get more sleep and make sure you don't forfeit those cups of tea!

It's not the customers comments, I can take them as I think if they've been done over before, they are wary. But it's the off hand comments that passers-by make. I want to say fxxk off and go away. But I don't. Even if they're trying to funny.
Gardening for a living is "relaxing"! You're having a laugh aren't you Steve? Maybe gardening as a hobby can be, but certainly not chasing around all day like a lunatic trying to please customers who all want their pound of flesh. It's not a job I'd ever take up again in a hurry, after 24yrs of it so far.
Only choose to work with good paying and easy going clients. Try to focus on lawn mowing primarily. That's how you keep it relaxed. Still bloody hard work in the summers and I hate all the communication. But it beats being stuck in an office getting fat and taking orders from the boss.
