Canadian football has a different set of rules compared to American Football; inaddition, they have something in Australia, something in between Rugby and American-Football down-under called (FOOTIE). For a short stay and one game, I could not pick up the game's rules, but it did look exciting and interesting.
I love the fact that I'm both Irish and LOVE the NFL so can both laugh and cringe at what they're saying, but that was probably the truest thing I've ever heard spoken by someone with no knowledge of the sport :P
+Ethan Bruce well if you're from America it doesn't make much sense to call it American Football since we also have soccer. Probably should have found a better system but hey that's just how it is don't understand why people can get so upset. Since other countries don't have American Football they call what we call "soccer" football. See what I mean? If you have both sports in your country you need a way to distinguish them. It would be really confusing if you called both sports football.
Ethan Bruce you know what I was talking about. "You mug". Lol What a douche. I was referring to the people that haven't seen it. It's a pretty common joke here in the United States that Jay Cutler always looks sad. And I promise one thing, if I would see you keyboard tough ass in person I would drag your face across the concrete and kick your teeth in you miserable prick. But since we're arguing on and Internet feed about nothing I'm gonna go about my life. P.s. Go outside more. It might make you a happier person.
But they do have more or less the same niche. Baseball and Cricket are both laid back rural bat and ball games, but baseball is a bit more like rounders. Rugby (union and league) and American handegg are more or less stop and go tackling warfare simulators. And American handegg does comes from Rugby, is a historical fact. And both games are tied with their origin nation colleges and mlitary. American handegg fills the same social niche Rugby did had during the British Empire. A get tough game for the Empire.
Snow Wolf no football is what the rest of the world plays, you have American handball over there. There’s Football (you call it soccer) , rugby (my sport) and then theresssss American handball aka safe rugby ☹️ sad face
@@mementomori4355 not really safe, the amount of brain damage these players get from repeated hits/concussions have caused multiple deaths or huge difficulty later in life
You should have them watch American football with an American person because most people I know scream at the tv (if there's a team that they like.) I think the reactions would be quit amusing.
+Coco Rizzolo People from everywhere screams at the tv during a game, especially Irish I don't think they would be shocked or have any sort of major reaction.
I was laughing so hard about that because as a fan I just understand Jay Cutler always looks miserable, but to virgin eyes he must look so out of place
+Masterpsflood yea cus he was shit that year over throw it or get it intercepted idk if he was nervous or what but he did help Hester look like a football god with all his run backs
I really hope the "#6 is the saddest player in professional sports" line wasn't lost on anyone who understands why it's 100% true. Haha, poor Jay Cutler.
+Nalisa Talks I like this answer because I hate football but I've also never taken the time to learn the rules. My brother tried to teach me but I wasn't interested. But you can't talk trash if you don't even know what's going on.
Where I live the only people that enjoy European football (soccer) are small children and illegal immigrants. It's fairly proven that certain demographics prefer more complex games, i.e. American football, rugby, etc.
+Rob Fraser You're an idiot. The whole point of the criticism was that American football is complicated, which it is. But thanks for showing your ignorant nationalism.
Douglas Selby I'm unfamiliar with this sport, American Football. What makes number 6 Jay Cutler the saddest player? Again, my knowledge of this sport is limited.
Ronald Harper he's not actually sad, he just doesn't really smile hardly ever during games and usually just looks like he doesn't really care about what's going on. He's a rather stoic man, Google Smoking Jay Cutler.
Ronald Harper He always seems so unemotional and detached no matter what happens as opposed to showing excitement, dissappointment, or anger. As a Bears fan it saddens me when he plays mediocre considering the Bears have guaranteed him 54 million dollars for 3 years of playing.
I love their assessment of Jay Cutler. You really don't need to know anything about American football,or body language at all for that matter, to know that guy needs a frickin HUG!
"Everyone blocks everyone except for the guy who throws the ball away and the one catching it to score -rinse and repeat" is all i got from watching a Superbowl
I strongly dislike the arrogance some people show towards this topic. Rugby is a good sport, Im from America I never have played it but i respect it. why can't they do the same. its two different sports. and as far as the part of its so protective, well thats cuz they use their heads.. Rugby is taught to not lead head first. the NFL has proven concussion issues. more than rugby unless they are just ignorant to the fact that they can lead to literal retardation later in life, but that is another topic. If you went to a football practice, and a rugby practice, you would say immediately that they are two DIFFERENT SPORTS. end of discussion! respect them both. Because there are a TON of football players who could play rugby, and VICE VERSA.

I'm American and absolutely go crazy over American football (like most Americans do), but this video cracked me up to no end. Always interesting to hear an "outsider" perspective on this silly little game that we love so dear. And quite frankly, you guys were dead on in a lot of your initial observations (the blacks usually play the skill positions, while whites often are the big guys who do the rough ploughing). Let's be honest, blacks are just naturally much more gifted athletically than us whiteys so you want them running and catching the ball. Even as a white guy, when my team had a white receiver, I'm often like "what the hell are we doing?!?!" :) And that #6 is Jay Cutler, who is widely regarded as the most miserable bastard in the NFL. So you guys noticed it too. Haha Cheers on a great video!
You mean citizens of the US? You say played by Americans. South America, Mexico, and Canada are all part of the Americas. I live in the US and I hate when people say America instead of US.
i just realized, this is just as confusing to foreign people as cricket is to us. americans always get angry like, "how can you not understand football its so simple". idk if you have no idea whats going on it could be really confusing
Cricket is just as confusing to irish people its popular in england but not in ireland We have our own national sports of hurling and gaelic football these are our most popular sports although rugby and soccer are popular too
+xFoozle: I'm American-born, but American football is waaaay more confusing to me than soccer (what everyone else calls football). Hell, I understand the fictional sport of "Quidditch" better than I understand American football. So, I guess I'm going to make a ton of my fellow Americans pissed off at me for not liking/understanding it. Oh, well. I was always a band geek anyway. :P
Football is easy to pick up if you're willing, the main thing is for your team to get the ball to one end of the field and prevent the opposing team from getting it to the other end
"they put the whites in the front to block and then they give it to the black man to run" literally every team. "he looks really sad" when he saw jay Cutler. lol. They know a lot.
You had to show them a bears v lions game though? I mean I know it's s thanksgiving game but still cmon. At least show them an old matchup of Pittsburgh Steelers v Baltimore Ravens or Giants v Eagles. Anything other than the lions
We all know the Lions must play....the other teams...revolve. Cowboys? Sure, but not always...Vikings, it's happened...PACKERS, now you are talking!....
Nathan Jones cowardly how. It’s a different game and btw, look up the reason why the word football exists and you will see why this sport has every right to call it football.
football and rugby simply can't be compared, they are completely different. Football has pads so there's more confidence in your physical ability and if you don't believe me you haven't played it. Football is head on collisions and a lot more contact, where as rugby it's more running and chasing. The sports are too different for comparison
Avinash Reji and that makes them the same? Every living thing came from a common ancestor, does that mean humans are exactly like whales? We're too different to compare
Solerdude ik I play rugby in America but when I tell people I play rugby they normally don't know what I'm talking about and think football is the most violent sport
^I can relate, though the people I've spoken to believe rugby is more violent. In reality though, it's not. Especially since we don't have nearly the amount of animosity and dumbfuckery that many pro football players do.
I don't much care for these reaction videos anymore. People don't just give true reactions to something. Instead, they try their hand at comedy. Everyone tries to turn a reaction video into a comedy show. Not as fun as a real reaction.
im black and i live in ireland and i can tell you that the majority of irish people are not that stupid and ignorant. i mean soccer is pretty popular in Europe so they've clearly seen black and white people play together but it pisses me off how they just acting clueless for the sake of trying to be funny. i dont mean to rant or anything its just that there is birth of stereotype that come with these type of videos and id hate for people to think that an entire nation will be generalized because of one or two fools.
For seeing Football for the first time they already have a complete understanding Jay Cutler
Very true
They probably should have been watching two decent team play each other
yeah but just a little. and do you watch or/and play football.
LMFAOOOO

"#6 (Jay Cutler) is the saddest man to play professional sports." They catch on fast.
Ikr😂😂
Lmao
At this point it looks like he only does it for money
He means he looked upset
This is gold.
"That guy looks so sad"
Typical Jay cutler reaction
He doesn't feel emotions
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂 dude i love youre pic, trailer park boys is the shit.
I think he rather be with Kristen Cavaleri than play football!
Dylan Cheatham I am a bears fan and Jay Cutler is now with the dolphins
bruh they don't even know jay cutler n know he's always depressed
i mean he's not messi or anything
As a Lions fan, they have no idea how right they were when they called the ref's the rival team.
Ahaha I was dying of laughter, it's so true, our biggest rivals.
Isn't your biggest rival
winning?
lolpauve no, if the refs hadnt screwed us we would have won two more games and won the tie breaker for a playoff spot.
Veradel97 You mean against the Seahawks and Packers?
P.S. I was just joking, I mean, I'm a sixers fan.
yea, batting the ball out was a penalty, and the they batched a facemask call against greenbay that would have ended the game with the lions up
Of all the teams to show them, they show them the Bears and the Lions.
Exactly what I was thinking
As a lions fan... I completely agree.
+MomoBay 212 Cuz the eagles are so much better bro hahahahaha
+bmorebruh they play every year on thanksgiving
Ha really
I love how they keep taking shots at Jay cutler
Cutler up by 11 points. "Thats the saddest athlete ive ever seen, cheer up #6." Great vid
Colts scripted to win Super Bowl
+CharlieHaggis he is the saddest man, proven fact
"Anytime they score a black family congratulates them" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
that was the funniest part...lol
That was the bears running back 😂
Their description of Cutler is spot on
+PBGellie Seriously. As a Packers fan, it made me incredibly happy that even they think he's a crybaby.
+TheHHilton they never called him a crybaby. they just said he looked sad.
+Keeron Rahman Yah. the saddest man they've ever seen play professional sports. i lol'd.
I cried laughing about the comment on Cutler. As a Bears fan, he always looks unintrested
+TheHHilton I agree. As a Seahawks fan: Cutler is a puss.
If we're gonna represent football why did it have to be a game between Detroit and Chicago?
lmfao
Agreed
Thats what i was thinking
that's what I'm saying!
But I hear this is the Lions' year lol
Jay Culter "The saddest man alive." Brillant!!!
I love the fact that I'm both Irish and LOVE the NFL so can both laugh and cringe at what they're saying, but that was probably the truest thing I've ever heard spoken by someone with no knowledge of the sport :P

Haha rough translation: stupid and clueless at the same time XD
*****
An atheist Buddhist...ok then.
tehfawkinman that just means stupidly trying to reach enlightenment XD
***** I hate to break it to you, but Buddhists DO worship various deities...
I died when he said the refs would form a team called "the Zebras"

You wouldn't be laughing if you were a Saints fan.
That's funny. Even people who have never seen football before say Jay Cutler looks depressed.

Football is a lot like chess. It makes no sense if no one explains the rules to you.
Kinda like rugby
Jazzmine Phillips American football in America is just called football ;)
The rules are so complex that even the referees have a hard time interpreting them.
umm no its football, and futbol lol. You dont say american first its a spelling difference.
And these gits seem disposed to learn none of it. Just one unfunny line after another.
Comparing football and rugby is like comparing cricket to baseball they might look the same but they have many differences in tactics and rules.
But they do have more or less the same niche. Baseball and Cricket are both laid back rural bat and ball games, but baseball is a bit more like rounders. Eric Silver same as rugby then
the put the white guys in the back and the black men run forward lol

Pitt Burgh they dont know that
Pitt Burgh no they mean a white quarterback and a black running back
Operation human shield from South Park
the zebras, the most hated team in football
+3Speedboy That's pretty damn accurate.

DroverChicago lmao the man may never see a super bowl ring in his life
What the fuck? They have the best defense in the league
Hi Bro actually, the ravens have the best defense
1:37-1:44 as a football player, I couldn't have said it better myself
So true😂😂

Little Aota what position did you play as
there are a shit ton of white tight ends and linemen though

Its because he lead the league in turnovers

That's Jay Cutler's happy face.

Lol and some electroshock therapy
+Newark Network aaaaaahhhhh!
hahaha
"The saddest man I've ever seen" he couldn't have described Jay Cutler better.

Football is seriously so freaking boring and I'm from America. Hockey is amazing though.
Francis Bonnefoy 24601 You know it!
+Francis Bonnefoy 24601 Two words. Denver. Broncos.
Inexplicable Enigmas I've watched the Denver Broncos. Boring.
+Francis Bonnefoy 24601 are you sure your not from Canada haha
Brianna Siragusa I did pretend to be Canadian in high school. I got away with it too
What confused me is Jared Allen recovering that fumble and the guy saying "he's happy, but he's losing," and the Bears were up 7-3 at that point...
Lol like they had any clue which team was the lions and who was the bears
"They put the big men up front for all the harsh bits". a truer statement has never been spoken about football #hoglife 😂😂
lol their comments on sorry ass jay cutler were HILARIOUS
Atleast a Coke can still makes its way into the shot
My other observation is thank god I wasn't born a black guy in Ireland.. Just my opinion lol
"Everyti.e they score a black family congratulates them." Comical gold
wow, even the Irishman knew Cutler was a d-bag the first time he saw him
Should have made it NCAA Football, much more character.
I agree. I watch both college and pro, but college has an energy with the help of the crowd and band that is unmatched by any other sport I've seen.
We get uncivil yet most stay civil, don't we?
You should watch some Football matches
college football doesn't compare to actual football (soccer) in terms of atmosphere.
MoRiellyMoProblems I guess it's subjective as to what makes a better "atmosphere", but I watch the world cup every 4 years and have yet to see a crowd as hype a NCAA football fans. No dis-respect to soccer, I've been a fan since the Rolando/Ronaldinho Brazil days. College is just on a whole different level when it comes to atmosphere.
Americans react to Gaelic football
I love watching Gaelic football whenever I'm in Ireland. You've got to love a sport where the phrase "reasonable elbow" is used in the offical rules.
Imagine football/soccer but the players are allowed to basically do anything to eachother short of actual punches. It's amazing.
It's basically soccer but you have to solo and bounce the ball every 4 steps and you kick it over the goal like American football
Pleasee!!!
Ben Kielar And now I'm off to search for Gaelic football. It sounds fucking awesome.
Soooo I thought the borderline racist comments were hilairous.. And Jay Cutler is indeed one of the saddest men in professional sports.. lol!

"Look at that guy, he looks sad" smh even those 2 can realize the problems with jay cutler
LOL their own team.. The zebras.. OMG LOL
They aren't wrong about Jay Cutler. He always looks depressed lol
Why would you show them a lion Bears game lol! Should have shown them a steeler Raven game, steelers bengals game, Broncos anyone game lol or SOMETHING intense!
broncos- patriots
Yea
Ravens patriots!!!
I bet it was free, cause no one would pay to watch them
Steelers Benglas game last year twas a nailbiter
I guess what's fun is watching a bunch of guys run around on the "pitch" for 2 hours just to end the game with a 1-1 tie.
2:28 "They're really happy over that. All they did was pick up the ball." hahahahahaha
"He looks sad". doesn't Jay Cutler always look sad?
1:50 "The Zebras" that made me laugh so hard 😂😂😂
I love how they showed the Detroit lions. It's great since I'm from Michigan
This is how the world sees american football lol
no its how people who don't know anything about American football see football :)
Soopersil3ntassasin thats basically the world.... Except there are some who know, like me. I just watch some matched, i understand the rules
"#6 is the saddest man I've ever seen"
Lolololol typical Jay Cutler
It would be interesting to see them watch the Steelers and Bengals Wild Card game this past season.
"He looks very sad" hahah Smokin' Jay can't cut a break!
why are they talkin about tight pants? soccer players and rugby players wear booty shorts....
soccer players dont wear booty shorts wym
butthurt yank

Well was this for thanksgiving? If so Lions or the NFC have the richest Thanksgivings games in history so yeah bud
Lmao they were making fun of Jay Cutler!! Just like we do in America lol
Ha! The second they get a glimpse of Jay Cutler you hear "he looks very sad".

Love how they picked the most boring game of the year for a first impression...
It is because they are trying to get them to insult the game to make drama. I mean look at the comments
We can can give 2 f***s about what the outside world thinks of our football! Made in America, played by Americans!
+z716 thanks fuck for that, keep it please
Basketball was the only sport that originated in America.
+George Hosford you mean Canada.
You mean citizens of the US? You say played by Americans. South America, Mexico, and Canada are all part of the Americas. I live in the US and I hate when people say America instead of US.
it funny when we just realized American football was made by British.
I LOVE the Irish!
That's sad there first game had to be the lions
Canadians watch South Park.
I definitely want to see that!
South Park is aired and popular in Canada btw.
I did not know that.
Joshua Cox Pretty well all American TV is aired in Canada.
The best part in the American football game is the ads.
Umm only during the super bowl lol
Pussy
S in other words, you only watch the super bowl, and it's because of the ads
+Akash Pratap i love your profile pic...ONE PUNCH MAN!
LMAO the Irish observations of Jay Cutler absolutely killed me! Some things just transcend cultural differenes haha

I'm American, and I don't understand any sport whatsoever 😁
im american and football is confusing as heck. i’ll just stick to drawing
Football is easy to pick up if you're willing, the main thing is for your team to get the ball to one end of the field and prevent the opposing team from getting it to the other end
Even the irish think cutler always looked bummed. If they only knew what he was paid.
Money doesn't buy happiness.
I thought this was a buzzfeed or thefinebros video then I realized that this was actually a good video, unlike buzzfeed and finebros videos,
😂😂😂😂😂
This video really grinded my gears.
"they put the whites in the front to block and then they give it to the black man to run" literally every team. "he looks really sad" when he saw jay Cutler. lol. They know a lot.
Of all teams, the Bears and Lions
that's what I also thought should've shown cardinal packers divisional game
No jus no
Why american clubs name are so ridiculous?
Ricardo hey guess what... fuck off
Because thats the point
It should've been reacting to college football. It's sooo much more exciting.
in your opinion it is, nfl is more exciting imo
+Khaos Berzerk no way collage is way better nfl has pussy ass calls
+That's Nasty and that's your opinion
nothing exciting about watching kids play in 60-0 blow outs. showed them the real game.
+michael preller Don't know why you are telling me. Won't change my opinion.
😂 A “SMACKDOWN”
Holy crap. Making them watch the two worst teams in the NFL...poor Irish.
They arent the worst. Your just burthurt that your team is bad
+Mike Reed 1000 miles better than rugby.
***** funnier to watch than rugby, if you cut out all the commercials.
***** don't need to stop the stoppages. i rather watch them talk tactic instead of commercials.
+Zachary Stybel they are definitely the worst teams in the league...
Even Irish people know that Jay Cutler is moody lmfaooo
Why did you show a lions game that team is a joke should've gone with patriots
Should've done the super bowl even though it hurts to say that cause I'm a hawks fan :P
*****
How does not being from seattle automatically not make me a Seahawk fan your logic doesnt make any sense
I'm from Michigan and even I don't like the Lions.
Even as a Bears fan, they should have shown a game with better teams
+Tanwar LMFAO really? but really he is the Greatest Of All Time, Tom Brady
The fact that they keep saying Jay Cutler is the saddest player they've ever seen, is pure gold.
You had to show them a bears v lions game though? I mean I know it's s thanksgiving game but still cmon. At least show them an old matchup of Pittsburgh Steelers v Baltimore Ravens or Giants v Eagles. Anything other than the lions
I Us&OurLilOnes bears lions one of the oldest games in football
Best scenario packers bears oldest rivalry
We all know the Lions must play....the other teams...revolve. Cowboys? Sure, but not always...Vikings, it's happened...PACKERS, now you are talking!....
This isn't Football, the real Football is where u actually use your feet
The terrible and cowardly version of Rugby
Nathan Jones cowardly how. It’s a different game and btw, look up the reason why the word football exists and you will see why this sport has every right to call it football.
football and rugby simply can't be compared, they are completely different. Football has pads so there's more confidence in your physical ability and if you don't believe me you haven't played it. Football is head on collisions and a lot more contact, where as rugby it's more running and chasing. The sports are too different for comparison
American Football did come from Rugby though
Avinash Reji and that makes them the same? Every living thing came from a common ancestor, does that mean humans are exactly like whales? We're too different to compare
I love that they picked up immediately on Cutler pouting on the sideline lol.. so glad he is out of Chicago..
"Every time they score a black family congratulates them"
"That's ridiculous and that's racist"
Easily triggered are you?
Let's see American people watch rugby
It's pretty fun to watch
Tajai Jones and to play as well. It's exhausting, but it's so much fun.
LieutenantNasty45 we have rugby in America you know...
#6 is the saddest man I've ever seen lol.
Actually American Football is becoming very popular in England. They play several games there every season. 👍
I don't much care for these reaction videos anymore. People don't just give true reactions to something. Instead, they try their hand at comedy. Everyone tries to turn a reaction video into a comedy show. Not as fun as a real reaction.
This is the most cringe worthy video I've seen in my life 😂😂😂
You've clearly seen 1 video
The good news is you could repackage this video as, "Irish People Watch Black and White People Play Sports Together For the First Time."
im black and i live in ireland and i can tell you that the majority of irish people are not that stupid and ignorant. i mean soccer is pretty popular in Europe so they've clearly seen black and white people play together but it pisses me off how they just acting clueless for the sake of trying to be funny. i dont mean to rant or anything its just that there is birth of stereotype that come with these type of videos and id hate for people to think that an entire nation will be generalized because of one or two fools.
+100kingk As an American, I don't even want to hear it.
"I'd like to maybe start out as a tight end and then end up as a wide receiver." :D
