This is my new HH montage version 2 for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, 2 years after the previous one.
Initially this project is just for clip dumping, as I had a lot of extra gameplay footage that are unused. But in order to fill in the gaps, a lot of old footage has been reused/recycled from older videos like the HH guide and other montage/tribute videos, so u might have seen some before.
Anyway if you are wondering why I don't use slow-motion or any hardcore editing and camera angles, its because I'm an amateur content creator/video editor, plus its not my style. Only slight speed adjustments were made to match movement to music.
Also, most gameplay footage are saved from my organic gameplay, that's why you can see my UI on, as opposed to purposely grinding cool scenes with my UI off. Only some footage were scripted/grinded for that epic moment.
This will most likely be the last HH compilation video I make for MHWIB, as I seldom play this game now. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy.

It is a support weapon. All those melodies and buffs really help me support my own dps.
Seeing this is what made fall in love with the HH since 3 Ultimate. World/Iceborne really brought out the nest of the weapon as a whole. Thank you so much for creating this. HH for life.

Man, I've been missing the meaty recitals and encores playing Rise and Sunbreak, most of all the kick-up!
The kick up performance feels more satisfying than rises kick up thats for sure
I hope in wilds the hh wont be like in rise but more similar to mhw
I really hope HH in Wilds is more weighty and deliberate like it was in World and less light and spammy than it was in Rise.

Learned HH from your iceborne tutorial and now im a big HH main. Being able to get a 9 minute solo time on alatreon with a "support" weapon is just so fascinating and fun to me.

I just started playing MHW a month ago with my boyfriend who is a monster hunter veteran who plays every weapon, I tried all the weapons in hunts to see what felt better and by far the horn was my favorite ❤ best weapon in the game, super fun and im so happy to see amazing players like you putting some respect on this weapon’s name! As a hunting horn main I don't see how calling it a 'support weapon' is an insult, it is an incredibly powerful weapon but support is a very important roll to play in an RPG like monster hunter.
I did not say its an insult. Its just funny the way the field team leader introduced the weapon when u pull it out for the first time. Many players are put off by it cause they thought support weapon meant support role, which definitely is not the case here. There are no roles to play in mhw, its not a role based mmo type of game. But since it does come with buffs which is a form of support, calling it support weapon isn’t exactly wrong imo

Like healing in mmos, supporting in team games etc. I also tried supporting in mh before, until i realized mh doesn’t really need supports. I don’t really mind ppl who want to tho, the whole joke here is just how the npc introduces the weapon and many ppl mistook it as a weapon that isn’t viable in solo hahahaha.
HH is probably one of the most fun weapons to play in any game ever. Underrated af. Certified HH main

Back slamming a monster in the face when it roars is so satisfying
I was once on a team to hunt down an event nergigante to craft my gamma armor (Y) with a hammer user, hunting horn, heavybowgun and I was the Charge blade guy (We all had the slugger skill 3), I think it goes without saying that Nergigante couldn't get up during the entire battle it was epic.
I love how in world hunting horn you interrupt your music to attack whereas in rise its the opposite.
And this is why I will continue to be a hunting horn main 🥰

No its not what your thinking. I'm not a healer horn dooting in the corner or existing solely to give you attack up XL. I'm crit status paralysis Hunting Horn, the most criminally underrated and fun build in the game (just mix safi 3 piece with Artian 2 piece and Safi's Bind horn). You hit the moster with like 900 points of paralysis buildup on the first hit instantly sending it into spasms and proceed to paralyze it like 3 or 4 more times across the hunt. Its insane how much status buildup hunting horn can do in World.
Mained GS the whole way in Iceborne and in the end I challenged myself to play all the weapons
Out of all of em, I fell in love with SnS and HH the most as they just feel really fun
GS had the big thunk-a-dunks while the HH has consistent BONKS that just feel so satisfying to use
Might just use the HH more often since it damn-well made me smile the whole way while hunting!

Everyone is a HH main, they just don't know it yet.
Pro tip for if you’re struggling with directional inputs: set your directional input type to 2, that way your inputs are relative to your stick and not the direction of your Hunter onscreen. This makes you not have to make weird goofy adjustments in all directions just to do your normal moves.

I don’t know, have you tried a sleep horn? If you play with friends it’s super fun to wake up a monster 4 times in a fight to wake him with bombs and ultimates. Tho I agree that unless I’m using a very niche horn I always look for attack up L

It's in the name itself:
"Hunting" Horn.
It's just as much as a monster bonking tool as it is a musical instrument.
Doing only one part of its name and not the other is a disservice to yourself and to the weapon.

Haha. I still had some fun with Rise HH but this World HH was more fun and satisfying when played correctly. In World it’s actually easy to differentiate good & bad HH gameplay. But in Rise i feel like everyone looks almost the same
Hunting Horn aka The Musical Hammer.
Horns are pretty underrated imo..I can keep up with just about any other weapon in the game with HH to be completely honest..if anyone says otherwise it’s usually because they don’t understand the playstyle.
World's HH is by far the most unique and plastic in the series in the way it's played

Great montage. Seeing this video make me miss this definitive version of my favorite MH weapon. I think Rise version is just a shadow of it's former self and not nearly as fun. Which weapon do you enjoy the most in Sunbreak? I'm trying Lance and Switch Axe for now.
I did still play HH through rise and sunbreak. but eventually got a little bored cause the new HH sorta lacks depth. I started playing lance more
I started HH for the support but I stayed for the kickass weapon. Holy shit it is so satisfying to master. My friends tease me for using a 'support' weapon solo so much. Hahaha... If only they knew

My Hammer buddy and me (with two randoms) used to slay safis back than. And the one who got the "angry attention" most of the time was me, the hunter with the "Support weapon". Sometimes when this happend, I dissed him for not being chased by safi although I have the "weak" blunt damage weapon. Good old times 😂😂😂

Just started using Hunting horn in 10 years. I never knew how good it feels. I'm just trying to play my buffs and end up doing cool shit like knocking out monsters that jump at me

Let’s be honest here. The song buffs were only a bonus

The thing is, the reason most of these idiots say it's a support weapon is cause in the average player's hands, this weapon focuses on buffs and more technical skills, half of which being better with people. Can't really get the full benefit of a party wide buff without a party.
This however, does NOT mean the weapon is useless. It just means there's a much higher skill floor when using it solo. From what I've heard, it has one of the best exhaust effects in the game, which from what I've encountered can be powerful in the right hands.
This game should just be called Animal Abuse World at this point lmao their helpless flapping around on the floor always gets me

This hunting horn gameplay makes hammer and gs players alike shed a tear of joy and feel inadequate
the slow heavy hits do feel like a GS and Hammer indeed, at least in world. but then damage wise HH can never match GS/Hammer in this game haha

My problem with the hunting horn is that I always get attacked when I play a song that has a slightly longer "cast duration".

hunting horn players dont look for damage they look for something to completely just ignore monster's mechanics thus letting them do even more damage and have more openings than most other players
Did you know hunting horns can just ignore kushala wind and roars ye its nuts. and just completely ignore the resident evil vaal hazaak's mechanic.
also they got the highest stun damage in the game the impact echo wave.. and it can be encore'd its nuts.
also layering it is very important it lets you get stygian zinogre's guitar music.

Would you happen to still have the builds you used in this video somewhere? Recently started playing hh but id love to get some references for builds cause i dont want to always run fatalis since that just becomes boring after a while. (If all of these are all builds that use like fatalis 4 piece then you don't need to bother replying as building any weapons build with fatalis 4 piece is piss easy)
i dont remember, the clips are recorded and taken randomly from actual gameplay. some of the older clips are safi set i think, after i got the fatalis set i never went back, no reason to tbh. I only ever use worse sets when i specifically do a challenge, like killing fatalis with a bone gear or jagras gear, killing alatreon completely naked etc, those are all done on stream i didnt upload the runs. I think most clips in this video are having fatalis set.

I think its just base on what ur comfortable with. Usually i just stack attack skills and horn maestro but defensive and comfort skills are definitely fine as well. Its mostly fatalis hh dishing out the dmg in this video, I wouldn’t consider it insane tho, HH overall dmg output is actually lower than many weapons but its still very good.

My comfy set is usually just fatalis horn and fatalis armor 4 piece armor. Most comfy bonuses. I don’t use divine blessing but i recommend it to those who like it comfy

Most horns with attack up L are very viable. But at end game obviously fatalis horns do the most damage.

memes aside, do people actually have difficulties understanding the difference between a support class vs a support weapon? the bowguns are also considered support weapons in MH, yet in World the HBG was a broken damage beast. support weapon just means you can heal and or buff your team/ debuff the enemy with you weapon. a support class generally ONLY (or at least primarily) heals/buffs/debuffs, regardless of weapon.
tldr, being a “support weapon” doesn’t mean that it not actually, you know… still a WEAPON first and foremost…

Hmm, first of all did you double check whether the tier list is about world horn or rise horn? cause the 2 versions are extremely different, secondly what type of tier list? enjoyment? dps? ease to play? Personally I do enjoy the HH, but I know people who don't, so you have to try it to know if its your cup of tea. You can find a detailed HH guide on my channel if ur interested
