Cub Cadet 1862 with 451 Snow Thrower

  • With so many questions about if the thrower worked -- here it is.

    The lift rod....from the factory it went beneath the foot rest. There was an extra piece of 3/16 steel, about 7" long, with a notch in the middle. The notch goes on a fulcrum under the foot rest, and the other end has a hole in it. Put a bolt through that hole and the hole where you have yours attached, on that little lift arm. I didn't get a manual with mine, it took me a little bit to figure out how the puzzle went together LoL.

    Says 1440 on the Cub, video title says 1862??? Definitely wrong lift arm.

    The lift arm
    Is that factory or did you make it, mine is straight.
    I just got the blower and the bracket by the foot rest.
    I did not mount the blower yet but I cannot see How a straight arm is going to work, your arm is curved and seems to flex when you lift

      Looks like a home made lift arm, too much flex.
