Ya know what...sometimes my Insta feed decides what I NEED to see. I'll be in NYC for NYC Marathon. ACK! Im staying at Pod 51 (hotel) btw 2nd & 3rd Ave's. Lately Ive been alerted to some charming tucked away free public spaces...little "parks". Ive saved them so I can check em out when Im there in November. #1 is Paley Park @ #3 E 53rd St. There's waterfall! Next is Greenacre Park #217 E 53rd St! Next is Cohen Park #121E 57th St btw Park & Lex. Another waterfall! ALL are free outdoor parks. Walking distance to Central Park. Ive actually been to Cohen Park a few times. Just stumbled onto it on my walk home from the gym one day. all of them are A little Oasis...close enuf but on the outskirts of Central Park South & 5th Ave tourist traffic. If you decide to explore these free peaceful outdoor places in another video please check these spots out! I was LEGIT panicking when you didn't upload yet ngl. I need a weekly Chill Chelsea Video to keep me grounded & connected to YOUR chill vibes!
Have you ever taken the train from Queens to Nassau County? There’s a park that’s just as big as Central Park called Eisenhower Park. I highly recommend checking it out.

my top tip for visiting NYC is to use hotels for bathrooms! I'd always pop in and just act like I'm staying there - if you wander through the lobbies enough, you can usually find one.
Central Park, for me, epitomizes NYC. We made sure to go there when we went last year. Lots of people, but it never felt crowded. And we were blessed with a beautiful, warm sunny day. Great video. Makes me want to go back. ❤
Last year summertime was the first time I was in nyc. I stayed there for my internship. My favorite thing was going to every Barnes & Noble and then parks. I think Prospect Park was my favorite.

I appreciate this video, and you gave great tips on keeping your expenses down while in NYC. I visited NYC & Jersey last week to attend my niece high school graduation ceremony . It was extremely hot ,humid, and expensive. Although I enjoyed my visit spending time with family and friends I’m glad to be back on the West Coast. Love it and this series. Well done!! I lived in NYC most of my life and this is super. I have since moved but when I lived there sometimes I would walk the length of the city and explore... also, believe it or not, The Staten Island Ferry is gorgeous and free- peaceful, windy and SI can be cool for a kitchy NYC wander :) For auditions, going to a hotel lobby is also a great place to gather yourself and cool off :) Also, Battery City has some good stealth AC and restrooms :)

And just some appreciation for blurring out people on video, really shows how considerate you are!! Playing pool on your own and getting a little drink after is giving main character. The last time I was in NYC was during a sweltering heatwave. Never again. The best time of year is the fall when the air gets crisp. Second best is the holiday season. BTW, you've gotten so good and natural talking to the camera. Love the channel.
We went last September. It was a perfect time to go. Very little humidity, except the first day we were there. A big thunderstorm rolled in, otherwise beautiful weather!

Central Park was beautifully colored foliage, the nighttime air was cool and crisp, it was also Halloween in the Village, and the Yankees/Sox World Series was happening, plus the NYC Marathon. The city was vibrant and on the verge of the the holiday season. Second best was Thanksgiving Day and the week following. Beautiful time.

My old summer neighborhood! I lived at 53rd and 3rd every summer from 71-75. My aunt had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment (with a great terrace!) in The Hawthorne House. It recently sold for 1.2 million! Man times have changed!

I don't live in NYC but seeing you go around and having fun by yourself exploring your city always inspires me and my hubby to out and explore our locality. It's fun! Our fave thing to do is a game that we call "Get Lost" and we just drive or walk around and try to explore without a gps (where safe of course.) Then when one of us is hungry or has to pee, or simply done and ready to go home, we either try to make our way back without a gps or sometimes we break down and just use it haha. It's one of our favorite ways to date. I may have written about this before on one of your other videos for I am too also having a brain fog day LOL My bad if that is the case hahaha!

I was hoping you’d stop by Shake Shack. The one in Madison Square Park is the original! I used to go there all the time when I worked in the area. And that raspberry Supreme looked so good! 😋 I’ve gotta try that on my next visit.

Department stores are also good places for AC and bathrooms in NYC. The Strand is another good stop for one - plus you can shop for books!

My old summer neighborhood! I lived at 53rd and 3rd every summer from 71-75. My aunt had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment (with a great terrace!) in The Hawthorne House. It recently sold for 1.2 million!

I don't live in NYC but seeing you go around and having fun by yourself exploring your city always inspires me and my hubby to out and explore our locality. It's fun! Our fave thing to do is a game that we call "Get Lost" and we just drive or walk around and try to explore without a gps (where safe of course.) Then when one of us is hungry or has to pee, or simply done and ready to go home, we either try to make our way back without a gps or sometimes we break down and just use it haha. It's one of our favorite ways to date.
I may have written about this before on one of your other videos for I am too also having a brain fog day LOL My bad if that is the case hahaha!

guys i, just wondering why some of the people's faces are blurred and others not..
The ones that are fully visible or looking at the camera I blurred, the ones showing only a profile or from a distance I kept. Can’t blur out every single person or it’d be too distracting

Hi Chelsea, when you ate the Supreme, you said you don't know what "Linzer" is - it's a kind of Christmas cookie here in Austria, it's the little cookie that was on top that looks sort of like a flower. We have a city called "Linz" in Austria, and something/someone coming from Linz is called a Linzer.
