All great songs you named. I met Beeb in 2011 on the Rick Springfield and Friends' last cruise. His other musical guests were his band ZOOT which was Rick, Beeb Birtles, Rick Brewer, and Darryl Cotton. They were all wonderful people. And every performance sounded so good. They blended well with Rick's band at the time too. It was a great way to introduce his fans to the band and the music they played before Rick (and Beeb later on ) came to the US in the early 70s. LRB is a band I heard ALOT in the southern US when your mentioned songs were released. Although I was too young to know who the band was, just that I liked those songs. It took until that cruise before I put together that Beeb was in LRB that I LOVED hearing growing up.
LRB are awesome. Two members of the Eagles went to their concert (Glenn Frey and Don Henley), afterwards they commented that LRB had the best vocal harmonies they had ever heard
LRB was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975. The Band was named after a small town not too far from Melbourne called Little River. They went on to have 13 top 40 hits in America. Quite an achievement.
"Why do I like this song so much?!" Because you have impeccable taste, Angela! Another fun reaction and I hope you have a very blessed holiday season. Can't wait to see your spirit, smile and dancing in the new year! :) 💛🧡
This is a great band from Australia with a lot of great hits! A song I just became aware of recently by them is It's A Long Way There! It's almost 9 min long, but a very meaningful and profound song! I dig most of their hits! Bye fellow subs!
My buddy Tony Scuito of Baltimore joined them as a singer, guitar player, keyboardist, and toured for eight years. He still does a gig or two with one of the players at his restaurant on the Delaware shore! Life is interesting!
The Little River Band was one of my favorite bands in the 70ies, from the Land Down under, they got great songs, started with It's a long way in 1976......till Night Owls in 1982. Always awesome harmonies and great vocals, catchy sounds !!
You like it bc this is an awesome band! They had a string of huge hits. The quality of musicianship is incredible. I've seen them live many times and they never put on a dull show. Btw I feel your pain. I lost both my parents last year. 🙁
Little River Band - Lonesome Loser !!!! One of my favorites from them.. . It's A Long Way There (studio version for the full song) .... & .... Reminiscing, studio or live.
You like it, because it’s an epic song, by an epic band! I get a kick out of their hair! It started getting shorter at the turn of the century. Dad music? That’s short sighted! This is everyone’s theme song! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
❤❤I was blessed to have seen LRB on their first U.S. tour and hadn't released their first album yet and only had about 12 songs. I saw them at the LSU Union Theater which only sat 1000 people and was only half full due to them being brand new. They were so nice afterwards to sit on the edge of the stage and talked to those of us who stayed after the concert! ❤❤❤
Really enjoyed this one, really upbeat and melodic with great harmonies and some nice guitar. Can see from your reaction that you enjoyed it too Angela!-Colin Ward
@@cbailey1978 Hope we see a great game tomorrow...I hate watching blow outs. It almost killed me last night , the way the Lions lost to Dallas. Maybe we'll get revenge in the playoffs 😁 Cheers, Happy New! Year
Hey Angela, hope all is going well. Surely it's time for some more Little River Band on your channel....? The song "Help is on the way" is one of their best and I'm sure you'd enjoy it
Let's face it, alot of the music scene in the late 70's was disco disco disco, but these guys snuck up and dominated. I guess you'd maybe call them Yacht Rock today, but back then they were so smooth and such tremendous harmonies they were a top tier act.
LATE COMMENT: This is one of my personal biographical songs. I've even used Lonesome Loser as a username on-line. Love LRB with so many other great songs.
Being an Australian band they weren't really that well known in the US until the breakthrough of Reminiscing, but I agree, when you see some of the shit that has been nominated due to publicity and political reasons, it's an abnomaly. But, you do have to be nominated.
Great song 👍 Written by Graham Goble. Lead singer was Glenn Shorrock. He quit 2 years later. John Farnham replaced him. I quot listening to LRB when John Farnham quit. I dislike 👎 the current lineup: nobody from Australia 🇦🇺. The original band is suing the current lineup due to bad management 😑. I favor the original lineup and the John Farnham lineup. 😃😎
Honey bunny…it’s 2023… soon 2 b 2024. WHYYY are you in 720p ONLY?? I have to believe by now you’ve made enough money to get a 1080 P 60 camera come on do us a favor. Love your reactions!
Little River Band, imo, has better harmonies than the great Eagles. If I remember right, they had internal issues that, for all their great music, kept them from being the best damn group in music history. But they are definitely under played these days.
Little River Band is awesome... The Night Owls, Lady, Cool Change, Reminiscing, Help Is On the Way, Take It Easy On Me, are all awesome..❤❤

you should listen "its a long way there" from them
This is too good
Always liked this song
Loved this reaction. And you choking up a bit at the end talking about your dad made me do the same. Really touching. ❤
Great choice. LRB was awesome band back in 70s
LRB always had killer harmonies!
Wow haven't heard that in decades you like it because it's a good tune
These guys were great...the song certainly takes me back...
An example of 70s perfection
Still sounds good in 2023.

Always loved them...had tickets to see them in 79, hurricane Frederick put a stop to that in Mobile.
so so so so good! harmonies were off the chain!
Damn, forgot about this one lol. Great song.
That IS funny that you like it because you usually don't like a lot of repetition in a song...but it sure is catchy and GREAT harmony!!❤ reaction.
Great song.brings back memories
THIS is MUSIC.. LRB has a great catalogue
Loved waking up to this posted today. Good way to start my day :)
Love your dancing Angela 🎉

Every breath I take by Gene Pitney ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This the original group and the best glen shorrock on vocals .dont fall for any other lineup
Correct, LRB wasn't LRB without Glenn. John Farnham is a great singer and has some great songs but Glenn is the real frontman.
if it wasn't for John Farnham you wouldn't even remember who littler river band was.
Great song

The fact that LRB is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a complete crime. They ruled the radio stations for a while.
