I Started CrossFit about 4-5 months ago and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t like to talk about it much bc of the “stigma” that goes along with it (“do you really do CrossFit if you can’t go a conversation without bringing it up?!” Or “oh yeah I do CrossFit I’m a big macho” lol) but I love the workouts bc they work for ME and the community you gain is fantastic too...I just feel so much more welcome than at a regular gym and just being around people and interacting with them as a part of my exercise is so much more valuable to me.
I feel like this would make any beginner have no fear,it is basic and one can branch out and onward .Keltie never ceases to amaze us in any vernacular-intense,funny and radiant, ditto for the instructor.
Best video ever! Thank you so much for sharing! I have been so enamored with CrossFit lately am afraid to take a class. Thanks to your beautiful tutorial, I now know what to expect and I can’t wait to try out my first foundational class! Thanks again for all your awesome, witty and clever videos! You’re so pretty and captivating and I love your channel! Thanks for sharing all you do
PLEASE check out your choice of cross fit "box", its owner, and EVERYTHING about their gym & philosophy.. I had a friend recently leave her two small children & husband because of the "lovebomb" friendship and overwhelming "belonging & acceptance" that came with her cross fit experience...she is also putting in a crazy amount of hours there & and getting a LOT of strange encouragement to leave her "old life behind"...since when are friends, families and children your old life?! She's also oddly putting out ever increasing large amounts of cash - which seem to keep getting Larger. I don't get, because it's a room-hence calling it a box. I get paying per workout, and for a little upkeep, but NOT the kind of money she is still putting out. It's scary, and to be honest, cult like. If you read anything on cults, it's tics all the boxes. I'm sure they are NOT all like this, but I'm also sure some ARE. Please be smart about it, do your homework and be forewarned.
I started crossfit 1.3 years ago . It is incredible. Awesome . Very much what you put into . Do it never the same and always challenging. Love the channel very informative
What if I can’t do a pull up or a handstand? I signed up for my first crossfit class that starts in August but now im nervous as crap because ive been watching some videos and they all had some sort of pull up and handstands. Wth have i gotten myself into??
I can't do a pull-up or a handstand either. But my coaches gave me modifications to do, that work towards getting those skills. I hope your first time doing CrossFit went well for you.
Very helpful and informative! Having a gymnastics background it's always so weird to hear them use the word "kip" for the chinning movement. It does, of course, use some of the same movements as a kip, but a kip in my mind, is a swinging movement with the end result being getting your hips (mount) onto the bar. It's integral to uneven bars, and in the beginning, one of the most difficult skills to master. Gymnasts do that exact chinning movement (maybe to help build up to kips?) at least at our gym, so I guess that's why it's called a kip here? I've always been curious! It was exciting to go behind the scenes!
Thanks so much for doing these videos! I have wanted to try this and bootcamp, but have been scared! Lol! I've lost 15 lbs, but still have 35- 40 to go until I am back where I was before my twins, so I need to find new and "fun" ways to exercise!
I’ve been doing hiit training for 2 years and have become strong and fluid in all movements. Am I ready for CrossFit? I’ve always been intimidated for some reason
I have a couple questions I have a 15 year daughter a sophomore in high school and plays field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. Unfortunately she is short, chubby and a slow sprinter. Will crossfit fit help her sprint faster, help with her endurance and/or jump higher? Also, for myself I am 47 year old dad I am overweight and do have some experience weightlifting, will this help me lose weight? Thank-you
On the shoe thing. Most crossfiters have crossfit/functional fitnes shoes (nanos/metcons/nobulls) and lifters. Your average trainer is a bit too spongy for some movements. Good video though. Straight to the point. Nice to see people from other backgrounds have an open mind.
someone plz tell me if i’m wrong because i don’t want to be thinking something that is wrong, but crossfit from what i have seen focuses on the lower body and full body and don’t really have leg day or arm day?
CrossFit workouts generally have full-body workouts, that have some emphasis on legs, abs, shoulders, arms etc. But full-body workouts are more beneficial and less time-consuming anyway.
I think of it as more a cardio than a strength movement. You do it during metcons for pace. I've never heard of kipping being used in the strength/skills portion of a WoD.
Pretty sure coach is talking about thoracic extension and/or collapsed elbows. She doesnt have the mobility or strength in the front rack position. Coach say "pretty nice front rack" but it's actually not, it looks like its gonna slip infront of her any moment.
I think your videos are good but PLEASE stop plugging Nike frees for any kind of impact. I’ve stress fractured my foot twice now wearing them, not to mention that they force your strike to the wrong place in your foot for running
cool, trying to get her over 1 mill sub's.... will tennyson and greg doucette have 1.8 millin subs but honestly KOC has the actual best content, just idk how this youtube/google algo thing works (hence i aint no content creator lol).... hope your break down worked out well
Not true, if it's a great CrossFit gym with good coaches (which I think this one is), everything is scaleable, as in you can scale the workout to your fitness abilities. You're not expected to lift as heavy or do all the same movements as the people around you. You do what you can do (pushing yourself just a little bit). The Crossfit gym I go to, I am very beginner and can't do some of the movements (like pull-ups) but I do modified exercises that are more achievable for me, while still working up to the skill of the pull-up. The coaches I have are great and help me scale the workouts too. It's all about working TOWARDS being able to do some of those "impossible movements", everyone starts somewhere.

One of the Best TH-cam video on beginner crossfit...Thank you.

Thank you, I’m thinking of trying CrossFit and had no idea how to physically prepare, very helpful 🙂

Serena Morris don’t worry the coaches will give you drills to do to work towards getting those skills. Good luck 🍀
I can't do a pull-up or a handstand either. But my coaches gave me modifications to do, that work towards getting those skills. I hope your first time doing CrossFit went well for you.
Since your review have you continued crossfit? Just curious what your viewpoint is now that you have tried so many fitness offerings out there?
In the video, we see a SERIOUS Keltie face!

This was super helpful thanks! Can you link your outfit too? I couldn’t find it on the Lululemon website :(

ANYONE is ready for CrossFit at ANYTIME. Don't be intimidated, just show up at a box willing to sweat and work hard and you'll have a great time!
This was so great to watch! Thank you! Are you going to continue with crossfit or try another sport?

When I saw this video I got so excited! I love these types of videos
She seems like a good instructor

will crossfit help me lose weight and get a flat stomach?
jessica nicole its like 80% diet and 20% exercise, but I feel like working out in a community type setting helps with staying on track.
jessica nicole as long as u keep the zone diet! may the force be with you.
HI! Great video, can you post the outfit you are wearing? Xx
Please do a buti yoga class!! Or buti for a week!

Excellent Job Keltie! ⭐⭐⭐⭐❤☮
Ok the kip was super interesting
Great video! Keltie please try Orangetheory next!! 🙌💪🍊🙏.
I have a question for all you CrossFit guys... so do you guys actually use kipping pull ups in your workout or is it just like for competition
I think of it as more a cardio than a strength movement. You do it during metcons for pace. I've never heard of kipping being used in the strength/skills portion of a WoD.
Keltie, Is that all YOUR hair??? Wow! it's so thick!!!
pretty
Robin Smith you can see where the real hair ends at the base of her neck. Looks like extensions. I like them.
Looks killer, great job.
At around 3:35 when the trainer said don’t collapse what does she mean by that?
To keep your butt out at the very bottom of a squat. It's also called "butt wink". There are some good videos on youtube om how to fix it.
Pretty sure coach is talking about thoracic extension and/or collapsed elbows. She doesnt have the mobility or strength in the front rack position. Coach say "pretty nice front rack" but it's actually not, it looks like its gonna slip infront of her any moment.

I agree. Asics is better. Nike hurt my feet, also.
what do you suggest then
What a great video. I gonna break this down in a video! I hope you will like it. + 1 sub ❤❤❤
❤
cool, trying to get her over 1 mill sub's.... will tennyson and greg doucette have 1.8 millin subs but honestly KOC has the actual best content, just idk how this youtube/google algo thing works (hence i aint no content creator lol).... hope your break down worked out well
CrossFit are high intensity work outs led by an enstructer
Nice gym
check out Rob McGarry videos of Improve Myself!!!
So not so beginners, It extremely hard and impossible to do.

obviously not impossible since many people are part of it. stop projecting your own issues on other
Coach talks about proper movement pattern and fails to make contact with bar during snatch demo. Why crossfit has a bad name.
Barefoot workout? Xx
♥💪🏋👍👍
What kinda guys be doing CrossFit? Pathetic
All the exercising of the eyes in this clip 🙄
