Hi Will, I've only just subscribed having stumbled on your Video's, they are brilliant. I'm a big fan of nutrition and it's importance. I'm watching them 3 or 4 on the trot as not now lol, as to not overload myself with too much information at one time. I loved the video on the resistance training, I'm 51 and do weights once a week put trying to establish a maintenance type of lifting plan now I'm getting closer to actually starting to race again (Fingers crossed) as a masters road racing. Any tips on amount of % max weight and reps, trying not to leave my legs in a bad way, but I want to still get adaption from the training, it always feels easier at the actual time.
Hey bud thanks so much for being a fan of the videos too. How is the resistance training going? In terms of what to work towards strength and power training is between 1 -6 reps really so a weight that fits that criteria. Probably 75%+
Na not at all bud I would focus on ensuring you've hydrated and eaten before you start the race. Having a good hugh carb meal 2-4 hours before and then if you feel the need something
Hi Will awesome video like always. I have a question if i race early in the morning even though i had a slice of bread with jam before the race can i still fuel during the race ( 1 hour race )
Really like crunchy nut cornflakes before an early race washed down with double espresso seems to do the trick

@@WillGirling all good, consistent.
Cheers will, so no real need to fuel during a Zwift race less than an hour

You can do just probably won't need it or much - 20-40g tops and I would do that if you struggle to eat before when its super early
@@WillGirling thanks alot

What did he say @ 2:16? Take some what?
