Running a Strandhogg currently for LE and its the best plate carrier Ive seen in my career. Yes it's pricey but like anything quality it should be. You get what you pay for and this is worth every penny. Used in conjunction with ShotStop plates its unbelievably lightweight and comfortable. I recommend this 100%
Whats the life expectancy of the 6/12 fabric? I have a strandhogg and love it but I notice a lot of sag in the 6/12 slits and what looks to be a lot of strain when using traditional molle pouches instead of 6/12 pouches.
Don't get steel unless you have a spall lining on it and at that point ceramic will likely be of similar price and lighter, so don't get steel. Ceramic Plate Brands (lead times for distributors are really high right now for obvious reasons unless you buy ungodly expensive top of the line plates that are in stock) Many of these can be had through distributors 3M Ceradyne: Difficult to obtain without being LEO/MIL agency LTC: Check Hoplite Tencate Hesco Highcom Velocity Systems bulletproofme.com There are many more companies out there but I wouldn't trust too much without looking into the companies. Check websites like Saber Sollutions, Hoplite, or even Optics Planet. Watch out for shit tier companies that import Chinese made plates. Also do keep in mind the differing plate sizes

Forgot to add, multicurve plates make a huge difference if you see yourself wearing a carrier for any extended period of time.
@@PeterYi i was looking into hesco L210s
Pricing is too damn high*
For similar carriers, it has a very comparable price. This is a cry once buy once type of thing.
