    Good video. Completely cleared up whatever sign language was going on in the instructions that came with the product. By the end did you still experience a bit of contact between the windshield and the deflector? I had a bit of scraping on the door handle side of it.

    • @CarRambles

      A small amount. All I can suggest is leaving your window up for at least 24 hours to re mold your rubbers a little if you've only just installed them. They should soon fit a bit better over time especially heko ones. I found climair to be a better fit out the box. Thanks for watching!

      @CarRambles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All wind deflectors will scratch your glass. You can try to prevent this by cleaning the windows and where the window slots into regularly :)

  • @observer6179
    @observer6179 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I tried the HEKO deflectors on my BMW 318i and they were fine for a few months, but when exposed to the summer heat and then cooler winter weather, they come loose after a while suggesting that they are very dependent on the adhesive, which fails to hold them in place. The fit is not that snug and the other morning the driver deflector flew off and away (after a year). I ordered the Climair and hopefully they would prevail as a superior brand. I will comment after a year passes. Good video however, a follow up after a year or so would be nice. Thanks again.

    Hi mate. I tried to fit mine at the weekend. I've got the correct ones for mk8 fiesta and followed your instructions - starting from mirror and working towards handle side. It all seems OK however the side that slots into the mirror (the "vertical" bit) at the A pillar, seems too big. That part of the deflector that it "chaffed', to allow it to slot into the channel, is just a little too big. I've really tried forcing it in but I can still see a fair bit of the 'chaffed' plastic. It's as if it's too wide to fit into the A pillar area. I wasn't expecting to see any of the chaffed bits after fitting. The window didn't want to go up any higher than 75% after I'd fitted it (clearly fitted it wrongly)... Yet it looks so easy when you fitted it in your video.... Any help would be appreciated 👍
