Blu Rays are mostly staying still because they're always readily packaged with the 4K. So buying the Blu Ray instead of the higher quality just seems pointless.

Just happy to see the DVD complete set of "Too Close For Comfort" the tv series out now. It's at a great price at Amazon. Wish it was out on Blu ray but just happy to see it released on any format.
No you should watch Goodbye Uncle Tom because it's about the slavery days in the Southern states. It's from the Italians that made Mondo Cane. The filmmakers wanted to shoot on location in US but the whites refused to give the permits required so they had to film it in Dominican Republic instead!🤔 I Am Cuba is like a docudrama about the early days of Fidel Castro's regime but it shows more of the common people than Fidel. Oh 4K gained momentum and DVD went down. Besides Walmart Dollar General carries DVDs and Blu-rays but it's mostly older movies not the new releases. BigLots! used to have a 4 sided rack with lots of movies including independent horror but now it just a cardboard rack with the most mainstream movies you can imagine. Collectors and fans went there precisely because of the unusual independent and foreign horror movies. Good list and cool video Mike!👉🙂👈
So Goodbye Uncle is more a historical film? The cover looked raunchy to me so wasn’t sure what to expect. I know some were saying it’s not a movie for everyone. I wonder what they meant?
@megamikethemovieman well it's a recreation of how things were in those days between black slaves and white masters but it does feel exploitative at times for sure. But hey that's what happened in the US in those days. 👀
Beekeeper is a very good action movie. And the 4k looked & sounded very good & worth adding to your collection. And that is not so true about the market sales with DVD & bluray & 4ks. Bc like I have been saying all along. If the studios & the small labels would just invest more time & money in first catalog titles on bluray & 4k. Then the sales would be higher like blurays chart sales would be around 45 to 55. And 4k sales charts would be around 25 to 35 & DVDs sales charts would be around 20 to 25. And this is why after 15 years on the market. That bluray have not dominated the market in sales like what DVDs did from 1998 to around 2008. And I really hope between now and by the end of the year we do get more first time catalog titles released either on bluray or on 4k. But I will say there are some good upcoming releases that will hopefully make the market sales stronger. Like dune part 2 & Godzilla Kong sequel & the first time catalog releaes of thunder heart on bluray should help the sale charts become stronger

Physical media will start its downfall & we will start to see Physical media beginning to be phase out. But I hope that doesn't happen. Bc I have been buying & collecting physical media since 1989 when I bought my first vhs tape 📼.

I buy mostly Blu-ray’s, but if there is a lot of special action and scenery I’ll get 4k
