John and zaris relationship reminds me of John and phoebes relationship in the hellblezer comic, as a die hard Constantine fan I was so happy for John to actually find someone who he actually loves not “love u for a bit then I got to push u away” and even tho zari knew those risks she still took them and looked past all of Johns arrogance and sarcasm and she accepted him and John loved that, and I am so thank full for zari she saved John from himself, just like phoebe she pulled John out of his dark hole and properly helped him so I am thankful to zari and phoebe for helping John, and even tho I have never met John (bc he is fictional) I class him as my best mate and to see him happy with zari makes me happy for him
I hate how they ended, they were such an unlikely pairing but they really were so beautifully majestic. We should have had more of them, I liked seeing a more vulnerable side to Constantine and a different, more serious side to Zari 2.0, but as usual this show butchered another great couple, so why even invest anymore?! 🤷🏼♀️

thats what i been saying i have nothing left to hang on to Darkhatom ship is gone Avalance has finally tied the knot and they killed my FAVORITE SHIP so someone please tell me what do i have to hang on to why should i still watch the Legends (besides the fact that i love them)
The relationship was doomed from the beginning, because it was Constantine, he walks alone, it's a core element of the character. I'm reading the comics atm(jumped a bit) and just finished the aftermath of the break up with Kit. So often his relationship with Kit was praised in talks about the character, but I wasn't really a fan, she didn't really accept what he did with magic, how much it is a part of him. The relationship with Zari, even them being so different, it did work, because they grew, they accepted each other and saw all those dark parts and could be themselves. But losing his magic, this part so important, that truly broke him and he needed that part back, he could survive anything, losing everything else, but magic, this part of him, he needed that. Zari made him chose, her or the addiction and he did chose her. But when he was so vulnerable, so broken, he remembered his core, he walks all alone, he had to be strong for himself, he has to survive. So Magic it was. In the end, he did save the world again, but he did get his magic back as well, he was a bit more whole again. But everything showed him, he can work with a team for a while, but in the end, he has to be on his own. He did love Zari, she might have been the best fit for him yet, but he knew, she would never leave Behrad, she had a life and he had to go. But the good thing, he is alive, he is not dead. And both truly love each other. Maybe it's goodbye for now, but there could be a chance in the future, when they are ready for it. It made sense from the story telling. And I am happy for Matt, that he can do something else where he doesn't have to bleach his hair.

OOOF. Well done. These two own and broke my heart too. All bs with having to let Constantine go aside... I found their ending to be much like how their last few episodes together were... incredibly heartwarming and equally heartwrenching. On the one hand as a hardcore John Constantine fan I understand / respect the way it played out as it does fit with his history especially in regards to his comics BUT a big part of being a John fan is rooting for his happiness and hoping he doesn't F it up ...without that spark of humanity/vulnerable side in him all his flaws/darker elements would be less compelling and complex. I will say even though their goodbye was brutal I appreciate that in spite of the heartbreak, hurt, and regret that there was no regret at having given it a proper go AND that they still care deeply for eachother even in parting. Obviously I'd love to have them together forever haha and John to be on Legends tell the wheels fall off but for a sad ending it was well done in my opinion. I just love tragedy/pain I guess bahaha. I will be very very curious to see what happens with Zari 2.0 going forward because she is so strong and brilliant and deserves the best. It's very bittersweet for me haha.
