    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That really depends on your access needs so is hard to answer without knowing those! You can pair 2 access controllers AND one dual sense to the same console, and all 3 work together as if they are one controller. If you're looking for a joystick to add to the 3.5mm ports, I can recommend Special Effect's TH-cam channel as they review lots of accessible gaming options and you might find one that works for you!

    Hey Kolo. It's good to see you again. I remember watching your Skyrim playthrough years ago. I am now amazed how you were able to do that with this disability. This controller looks really cool, and it's good that they put so much thought into the packaging and customization options. Now I'm curious, how do you go with arcade decks or the Playstation Move controllers from previous consoles that worked a bit like the Wii nun-chucks?

    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hey! Skyrim was played prior to me using accessible controllers, but anything within the last 3 years has been played with one! Controllers that are reliant on gripping in each hand, (especially those reliant on moving those hands/motion actions as inputs) are the worst possible option for me and if a game requires them, I physically cannot play it. This is true for Playstation Move controllers, wii nun-chucks and detatched/seperated Switch joycons.
      Arcade decks depend - but in general are a more plausible option for me, as largely they are designed to sit on a surface, not be gripped. The issue I often encounter with those is the buttons require a lot of force to press, and the kind of games that use them tend to require fast reflexes/have a lot of quick time actions/spammyt buttons presses, which are no fun for me either!

    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@acedatninja23 you can assign a button to perform a toggle function - so you press it once, let it go, but the PS5 treats it as still being pressed down. Then when you press it again, it releases it. You can set this for every button, and it's done directly with the software on the PS5.

    I only have the use of my left hand nowadays and the games I used to play you had to use both sticks which is the only issue I see with that controller. Is there a way to use the other stick one handed?

    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  ปีที่แล้ว

      you can add another stick to one access controller - there's four 3.5mm ports and you can get external joysticks from third party suppliers. I am not sure how manageable this would be with one hand though.
      Another way I've been able to use two joysticks is utilising the profiles (which you can switch between with one press, mid game) to make one profile with the stick acting as right stick, then another profile with the same keybinds but the stick acting as left stick instead, so i can press the profile button to toggle between using left and right joysticks on the same stick. It works for some games where you don't need simultaneous use, but can be frustrating on others!
      I don't know if you've played Horizon Forbidden West, but there's an accessibility option where you can play the game with one stick - it takes some getting used to as the "camera" stick can take some time to "catch up" to the player movement, but it's a game with an amazing set of accessibility options that could potentially be a one hand controller compatible candidate! Might not be up your street but thought it might be worth mentioning just in case!

    • @zander2753
      @zander2753 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HelloItsKolo yeah see that’s the issue I have, games like call of duty are so quick that it would be hard to switch between 2 different profiles while playing. I do think I’ve found a way to do it involving the access controller, a dual sense ps5 controller and trigger buttons. I found an attachment for the dual sense controller on Etsy that turns it into a one handed controller and I think it will work well but my one issue is the buttons might be hard to press one handed (except the back buttons) but if I use trigger buttons (I can use my foot for them) in combination to the dual sense attachment and using the access controllers functions like the toggle switch I think gaming will actually be possible again with pretty much any game. Thank you for taking the time to help me :)

    Is the analog stick supposed to “stick” in the direction you push? Because mine does

    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Does it physically stay in one direction? It's it's not physically sticking but the input is staying pushed, the only thing I can think of here is checking in your profiles settings that you don't have "hold press"/"toggle" turned on by accident. If that's not it, I would get in contact with Playstation if you've got a sticky stick! I have two Access controllers and mine don't stick.

    • @Beano1986
      @Beano1986 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HelloItsKolo yes the actual analog stick physically stays in the direction I push it, especially if I push as far as it can go which causes it scroll through the menus. It’s literally unusable. Thanks for the clarification that it isn’t supposed to be like that, it’s very helpful. Sounds like I will have to contact PlayStation for a replacement. Thanks!

    hello, do I need 2 copies of that controller to play for example fifa, nhl, god of war?

    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the number of keybinds you need, and how you'd use the controller. You may be able to use just one, but it's worth saying that each unit has only 4 switch ports you can plug into. If you need more than 4 externally connected switches/joysticks, you will likely need two units together.
      You can also use up to 2 PSAC units with one dual sense controller, so if it works for you, it may be possible to combo 1 PSAC with 1 dual sense and play with both.
      Not a one size fits all answer to your question, but I hope this helps!

    • @wolandphotography

      @@HelloItsKolo thx, i got only one healthy hand so i guess this is too big for me anyway, to reach all the buttons..

    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@wolandphotography in that case, the size of your hand and how far you're able to reach with it will be a factor. I have quite little hands and I struggle to reach every button all the time when playing with one hand on one PSAC, but folks with bigger hands don't tend to have that issue.
      I can play some games one handed, but those tend to be games where there's 4 or 5 keybinds that are used all the time, and the other keybinds are infrequently used, so I don't have to always have them under my fingers and the occasional reach isn't an issue for me... but games where there's a ton of keybinds (like Horizon Forbidden West), I wouldn't be able to play just with one hand... not enough buttons or reach :(
      Everyone is different and this is just my experience, but hopefully this helps! I haven't played the games you mentioned so I'm not familiar with the keybinds needed or frequency they're used etc.
      I hope you find a solution that works for you!

    • @HelloItsKolo
      @HelloItsKolo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This was feedback I gave to them, I feel the same and would have loved two sticks! PlayStation told me the reason they didn't include two was because not everyone would need two, and including them anyway massively raised the unit price, to a point they felt made the product financially inaccessible. You can add a 3rd party stick into one of the four ports. I told them I would very much like to see the option to purchase a purpose made second stick, one that slots onto/joins onto the main unit in some erganomic way.
      In short... I completely agree with you, but I do also see their point about raising the price a lot. I think there's a middle ground here with making an "addon" stick made by Sony available to purchase.
