Beethoven considered this one of his very best works. I can't agree more. The brass stands out well in this amazing piece. Bravo performance!

Probably my favourite of the 9, but it is so difficult to chose a favourite isn't it...?
this is prob my #1 but the 6th stands right next to it.
with the 8th prob just a tad behind. (shocking, i know, but i do love that 8th.)
For me,
it carries that same nearly out of control kinetic power and joy (borderline frenzy) as the 7th.
With Beethoven I keep going back and forth about which one is the greatest of his sym. When I think its the 7, several months later it's the Eroica, esp. the slow movt. But when I hear the 9th for the 60th time, then it's the 9th, let alone the 4th movt of the Pastorale, but then the sublime 2nd movt of the 4fh. Well, the easiest way out is to accept that from the 3rd to the 9th they are all the greatest!

Definately one of my favorite of Beethovens' symphonies.. I've played this as a 1st violin 2nd violin and don't hate now,,, viola!!! Man you have no idea how orgasmic this was...
