I'm from Malaysia and this helped me a lot in taking my 4th class Oral exams .Your explaination are very clear and understandable.Thank you very much sir
Excellent explanation 🙏. 22000 times this video has already been watched . Alteast people should show some basic respect by liking it ( least way of appreciating the effort) .
Sir your explanation is extremely awesome.. I have watched your lecture about governor droop , reverse power .. After sailing almost 5 years ... only after watching your videos i understood the complete concept of these topics.. Thank you so much. I will be waiting to get more videos from your side.
Really Knowledgeable Information. It cleared my big Black Snake of doubt in my mind. The material is well explained comparative to the Gov Droop. Thank you.
Thankyou sir i was having this issue although we adjusted the trimmer but our power factors are varying too much! And it happened suddenly. Now i know atleast what is the problem. Droop setting it is in AVR.
Very accurately explained it sir.. In my ship at present one generator is running on leading power factor during load sharing... We tried adjust the voltage by voltage trimmer in MSB.. But it was no use.. Please tell me how to adjust voltage on AVR itself.. AVR has got 3 potentiometer marked as "Usoll", "Vreg" & "Tnach".. Your reply is very helpful for me..
Hello, sir am facing the same problem rn if you tell me how to resolve it'll be very helpful. When single running all 3 AE are good enough when parallel PF is different in all 3 and one generator PF dropping till .2~.3 i changed the AVR after that AE PF is 1 only but other 2 PF is drop.
When we are running two generator for ex. AE1&AE2 in parallel then during load increase no.2 AE amp increases abnormaly but AE 1 amps is ok and finaly preferential trip occurs. Plz suggest reason and solution.
Did you compare the no load terminal voltage? Are they equal.?. During load sharing, does the alternator with leading pf have less load current for the same kw? . Run the alternator alone adjust the voltage trimmer and check if the voltage changes.
Good afternoon sir, i have a doubt, request if you can share your thoughts on the same. "Even after ensuring the no load voltages and AVR droop setting of both the generators are same , is it possible that the generators are still sharing unequal KVAR (not very significant though)?" Both generators are of same rating-1100 KVA. Both having AVR of same make and model- COSIMAT-N+ Thank you Sir.
Sir, As your explanation is very useful for me. i want to do clarify of my doubt , so please advise me about if will adjust the voltage for one generator by trimmer(external given potentiometer) while parallel the running of both generator, it will not affect operation. because as your said , can change the p.f and kvar. let me know? how much load% need to be maintained of both generator for will proceed the droop adjustment& acceptable range is required.
Ideally adjust the voltage setting when on no load. If it is adjusted while on load in parallel the effect will be same as explained. If v settings is increased current will increase and pf will come down. All these adjustments should be small and then check.
Sir we are facing same problem... Base load 500kw One gen running kvar 0.8 2 gen running in parallel kvar 0.5 for no1 or no3 gen and 1.0 for no2 gen... We are facing problem with no2 gen... We adjusted the droop setting in avr but still the problem is same... Terminal voltages for all gen are same without load...
Respected Venkatesan sir,,,very happy to see your video.fabulously accurate and as always to the point....am ur preparatory candidate...😁....if the 2generators in parallel are having fluctuations in load by upto100_150kws continuously....what would be the reason to look into?and if a governor needs attention then would any adjustments help!!
If the power management system is on, put it on manual and then check. If the power sharing becomes stable, then the issue is with your PMS. If the fluctuation continues then the issue could be with the governor or the engine. Start with the droop setting, check compensation; check hydraulic oil, purge out the governor if air is in the oil.

Thanks a lot for clear explanations. You are a teacher by definition itself.

One of the best teachers

best chief engineer i have ever seen

Sir , Excellent Explanation !!!!
Very nice explanation.
Thanks a lot. It was explained very simply and clearly.
Very good explained, thank you very much Sir.

Thanks for good video Sir....
Thank you🙏🏽
Very nice information 👍👍
Sir ,excellent explanation .can you explain AVR FUNCTION USE BY ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM.
Thanks sir for all this videos plss upload more video about purifier and clarifier
Your lectures are so precious, but your language is not clear, may you add captions to convert speech to written

Very well explained Sir,keep it up.You are the hope for those who want the knowledge in simple and quality manner.
Sir droop qdc pot adjusted but voltage not dropped voltage increased on load what is the reason
Any book about the setting...
Thanks you please translation
