Two good arguments I´ve heard for that: 1 - There is a cliff right behind those doors. Spino being quite smart, he knew that if it went nuts on the door, he might have fallen over the cliff with the necessary speed to break those doors. 2 - Spino might be a bit dizzy and knocked out after taking down the fence. Just logical arguments I´ve seen about this issue.

However, it does feel closer to the original indeed (probably thanks to return of Dr. Grant. Damn, I missed him in the second movie). Besides, as much as we all probably hate the Mother in JP3, there were much-much more annoying characters in TLW. Hell, almost everyone there (except Roland, Eddie and maybe Malcom himself) were ultimate morons or assholes of all sorts - makes the movie almost painful too watch.

According to books and google, an spinosaurus' speed reaches 15mph while a human reaches barely 8mph. The velociraptor runs 25mph and in none of the films (even the new ones) no human ever beaten. Spielberg humans reach 30 mph lmao
The scene would have been better if they didnt try to close the door but instead just went so far inside the building that some narrow hallway prevents the Spinosaurus from getting in.

This thing just literally broke 6- 6"-8" beams (pause it at 0:53 and look at that thick steel hollow or not) apart from the fence and it can't get into a much less supportive door 10 seconds later? I get that it's more interesting that way, but the staging in JP could try to be a little more convincing!
