Federal have some power over some stuff like millitary and trade, States have some powers over other stuff like Health and Education, while municipalities have some powers over Cops and Housing. You can't say: «this school stuff can't come from Democrats because the Senate is Republicans.» The Senate don't control Education. You will debate a lot better by knowing and explaining those differences. Love you guys!

We experience the same issues today as were experienced for millennia. The constitution is handles core laws that apply to all people. other laws and regulations need to operate around it. If if were something that could just change then the dominant mob would change it every election cycle.

    • @MrNoclutch
      @MrNoclutch ปีที่แล้ว +9

The Constitution does change through the Amendment process, Most of the amendments have improved situations that bad people crated because there was nothing to stop them from doing it. Rights for Voting was based on the old way brought over from other cultures, that was changed to make sure those stopping Minorities and women from voting was put to an end and so many more things that the Supreme Courts had to make right when bad laws were created and declared Unconstitutional. We would be foolish to lose faith in the Constitution and should hold Government and its bureaucrats (non elected officials making rules"Regulations") accountable.

I think seeing all these people FINALLY waking up today is SUPER ENCOURAGING but also really sad to see as well, the number of people who were betrayed and lied to by those who promised them SO many things and never once came thru or kept one promise they made, I can’t imagine how hard and hurtful that must be to wake up to..
I woke up slowly over time but now SO many are literally being shaken awake overnight it seems, so yea I try to be as patient and understanding as I can be, I think it’s important to keep in mind that so many of them were literally lied to and betrayed for their entire lives- that’s quite the bitter pill to swallow I’m sure!!
However there are also some really hateful and hardly what id call ‘tolerant’ people out there as well which I’ve got a much harder time understanding of course, sadly we’ve still got those who hold and possess pure hatred in their hearts for whatever reason..
BUT ok enough rambling, the last thing I’ll say is that I DEF WELCOME EVERYONE WHO HAS OPENED THEIR EYES AND NOW SEEN THE TRUTH TODAY-

There are now 27 amendments the last of which was ratified in 1992. Not to mention the Legislation that has been passed over the last 250 years. the reality is that people who grow up without a father in the home are up to nine times more likely to be incarcerated, have mental health issues, addiction issues and live in poverty. you can't expect children who grow up without the necessary support and examples to just adapt a positive attitude and get over it and move on. childhood neglect can have severe impact on brain development and personality disorders and addiction are a common thread through the lives of adults who had no father and a stressed out, resentful single mother raising them while strangers take care of them at day care for a large portion of their lives. of course there are exceptions to this, like yourself, but the deck is stacked against most of the people in this situation.

Now, my wife and I have been receiving pension for over two years, but because our pension in not that big, we continue working full time despite our ages 77 and 72. We do not depend on the government, and we never did! Where I came from, the moment you get to 40's and your profession is not highly technical, you'll have extreme difficulty getting a regular job. Here I resigned two times due to family emergencies in my original homeland, but I easily got re-employed because of my character and work ethics and efficiency! As a 50 year old Hispanic I want to offer this advice to us minorities - we can keep bringing up the past of "when we were young we didn't have...." Yes our parents struggled (single parent in my home), yes there was roaches all over the house, yes they whooped us until we learned but this is a different time and we have more access to education, knowledge (internet), and we can break an old cycle and introduce a new one. I have nieces with college degrees whereas I was the only one in my generation with a degree. What I am saying is that it's changing - there are still minorities stuck in the old ways but there are also tons that now have degrees and can continue to lay down a solid foundation for their families. So let's move on from the negative past and discuss how we're changing the future.

What your friend experienced as a child isn’t something that is solely in the black community! I don’t understand why people of other colors, non white, think whites never had it like they did. She used to take me to the bars with her. I don't dance at all, ever, because she used to try and force me to dance with her at these places and I'd hide under the tables until she walk off on her own. When times were really rough, getting some chicken in our ramen noodles was a treat.
We use to rent trailers all the time and so I was labeled as trailer trash or white trash from the other kids at school.

If a woman has a baby out of wedlock, she qualifies for social services, but not if she’s married.. there are families who are married and they can qualify for food stamps and Medicaid for their kids or Medicaid for a pregnant woman if they are married if one member in the family gets laid off or fired, etc. etc. but I know where I live we can’t get unemployment if we are fired for our fault- except for my dumb ass cousin, who used to always get fired because of his alcoholism, and he would always get unemployment. I had a law degree and when I got injured and laid off after I fell down in law firms steps, they didn’t give me jack shit. It’s because legally blonde. True!! I’m serious. When I moved out of my parents home in the early 90s I moved in with 3 other people. We shared expenses and I had to work sometimes up to 4 part time jobs in order to pay my bill. I was just barely scraping by too.
Then I was able to get a full time job with benefits so I quit all but one of my part time part time jobs. Eventually I was promoted into management so I could quit the last of my part time jobs and move into a bit nicer apartment with only 1 roommate.
As a manager I always worked 10 to 14 days with very few weekends off.
I was living paycheck to paycheck, I never felt like I was being cheated or it was unfair. I understood I needed to work hard when I was young in order to gain experience to get better jobs in my future.
When I hear young people today say they can’t make a living wage off a job anymore… I just shake my head. I couldn’t either, I had to bust my butt to just get by. I was exhausted but made it work. If I needed more money I took a catering job on my days off. It’s just what I did. I don’t ever remember feeling it was unfair.

the Constitution has been updated many times. It has been amended 27 times since its inception. Shout out to you three! conversations about politics is a sure-fire way to destroy relationships if you're not careful. So great to see you all open-minded enough to hear each other and brave enough to wade into those waters.

His quiet acts of kindness are many. Long before he was President and donating his salary, Trump was generous to many people, in all walks of life.

Donald Trump and the other business guy running for president, Vivek, say they’re going to abolish administrative agencies that have been weapons against Americans, and all they gotta do is sign an executive order and get rid of them, and those people can go work in the private sector. Bye FBI, IRS, Fed. dept of Education & more. They’ll have to hire somebody to take care of taxes, but technically that is congresses job in the house of representatives and they’re just too lazy to deal with it because they want to raise money all the time and politicize everything.
The American government at the executive level has more employees than anywhere else in the world and that’s ridiculous. It started in the early 1900s and FDR expanded it and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and that’s where most of our tax money is going when we could have contractors do a lot of the stuff EPA does and they’ll do a better job.
