I love seeing Lingyi defending Shiyi. She has a great husband but then he had to put his foot in his mouth...lol I love that she has a way of defending herself with him that often leaves him speechless. He can't figure her out...lol All of his other wives treat him differently because they want his favor so that it benefits them and their families but Shiyi wants nothing from him.

Lingyi.. Started to depend shiyi and he started to fall Inlove with her...
I'm happy for lingyi despite of his many concubines.. He Felt real love for shiyi.
He was very lucky that his late wife destroyed Lianfang's shot at becoming his legal wife because he would've been miserable. He was very lucky that Shiyi walked into his life/into his heart. It's hard to believe that he's never been in love before...especially since he's had one wife and three concubines. He was finally happy for the first time in his life. Shiyi changed his life. They were perfect for each other.
He was forced by his tyrannical mother to marry and take on all those concubines...he wanted and loved none of them. Then to actually be given the love of his life thru a scheme of his dying wife...priceless.
Lingyi has never dealt with a woman, especially one married to him speaking her mind so assertively and unafraid to him. It has him a bit off balance as she isn't scheming or hounding him. To the male instinct, she is a challenge, which is refreshing and intriguing to her husband. In discreet and minute ways, Shiyi let's him know he messed up and it is hilarious to see his response 🤣

The looks on his face when he knows he stepped in it.
For the first time, a woman accepts with a smile his attempt to escape from her, hiding behind the work. Before that, he faced irritation, resentment, anger, confusion, entreaty, but never with calmness and joy. I understand that such behavior suits her, but nothing better could be invented to interest him. Bravo Shiyi. However, I don't think this is part of her plans.

She doesn't mind if he chooses to work or not because that's one less thing she has to worry about... His servant is too funny. Lingyi was trying to exit the situation with some dignity but his servant destroyed his plans. She knows he's lying...lol
@@shontelagrone8713 Zhaoying really sets him up sometimes. Shiyi knows that he is lying. But still, her reaction is priceless; it puts him in an even more awkward position. If she was angry or offended, I think he would be much more comfortable. I think this is the first time he's run away from home, not because he's morally difficult, but because he doesn't know how to behave. General Fu is right; he's not easy with new wife. Shiyi fell out of the stereotype of behavior and he once again "stumbled into". He knows that she is different, but he cannot change the habitual behavior in any way. And Shiyi does not forgive him anything; he has a too short memory when it comes to her.
@@Irynash11 Zhaoying was my hero throughout this drama. He was the VIP every time he exposed Lingyi's lies to Shiyi I couldn't stop laughing. He worked hard for Lingyi for years/he knew that he wasn't happy for so long. He even commented on Lingyi's mood after he married Lianfang and how unhappy he was...he even told him that most men would be happy to have so many wives but Lingyi is the opposite. He also saw the changes in Lingyi's behavior after he started to fall in love with Shiyi.
Shiyi's reaction to his lie being exposed was funny. When she bowed and turned/left I couldn't stop laughing. The look on Lingyi face was priceless. He couldn't believe that she just walked away without saying a word. In that moment he realized that she was very different from his late wife. I think my favorite Zhaoying moment/reaction was when Lingyi went to see Shiyi after the whole brocade incident and he walked out mad..lol Zhaoying was confused he was and scratching his head like didn't you specifically come to see her ladyship...why did you argue now? He was often caught on the receiving end of Lingyi's tirades whenever he was upset with Shiyi. During all the drama he knew that Lingyi was different with Shiyi. He saw him changing right before his eyes.
@@shontelagrone8713 I also laughed; he was so funny in his reactions to her actions. Even at the moment when she stepped out from behind the curtain, it became clear that a surprise awaited him. When she defiantly ignored his outstretched hand and then responded with a bow and a smile to his lie, I was delighted. It was polite and nice, he's never been put in his place before that. Oh yes, he was so accustomed to scandals and accusations that he was taken aback by such an unexpectedly calm reaction.
Zhaoying is one of my favorite characters. Yes, he is young, but smart and served Lingyi for a long time. He saw and understood what his mother and wives refused to see. How Lingyi is unhappy and psychologically tired, how burdensome he is with all his wives, who are not able to simply let him rest. Indeed, he often unwittingly "surrendered" his master to his wife. It was interesting to watch Lingyi's expression when Zhaoying commented on their mutual dislike of flower tea. He clearly wanted to finally "kill" his excessively chatty servant. I like the moment when he "shoots" his eyes at the spouses when Lingyi returns the lands sold to Shiyi. He had long understood that husband had a special attitude towards Shiyi, very emotionally he reacted to meetings with his wife, usually a calm gentleman. I liked how he and General Fu tried to bring him closer/reconcile with Shiyi. They knew exactly that she had changed him and made him happy.
原著里徐令宜更会调戏十一娘，如在回太夫人话时手却一直捻着十一娘的小手，或是故意牵着十一娘的手就要大辣辣去太夫人处。搞得十一娘一直闪避，担心被人发现后被灌上"狐媚"的帽子在头顶。。
