Lingyi's learning...lol If he wants to spend time with his wife he needs to bring his gift to her personally....lol He has grown so much since marrying Shiyi. He's one of the best gift givers/he's slowly making his way into her heart. The way he looks at her/the way she's starting to look at him is beautiful. I think he likes touching her hair. He he so sweet.
I love Zhun's little cry. Shiyi trying hard to comfort him/to find out what happen is so cute. When Lingyi took a step forward/he stepped backwards show the distance between the too. I love how Shiyi made a simple request from him/he followed with no problem. He really listens to his wife. They were so adorable when they were sitting there watching him make him a sword. They had the same look of amazement on their faces. You can't help but fall in love with this little family moment.
Shiyi is so bold. She really knows how to talk to Lingyi to get him to listen to her. She doesn't scolded him or berate him. She just talks/explains her point of view in a concise/respectful manner. I'm loving the development of their relationship. When stepped back from is dad/she pushed him towards him...that was a turning point. She's helping him build a relationship with his son. She was right when she told him that he needed to spend more time with him. When he took out the time to talk with his son...Zhun's behavior changed. After falling down he got right up and brushed himself off. He took his father's words to heart... "Men shouldn't cry easily" This was confirmation that what Shiyi was telling him actually works.
Lianfang has made an enemy out of Danyang. Trying to harm her/her unborn child would do it...lol I'm so loving her new attitude. The way she called out Lianfang was beautifully done. It was the icing on the cake. Lianfang couldn't respond or even try to defend herself because she knew that Danyang could destroy her with one little word about her little scheme to harm her. Lianfang just had to sit back/take whatever Danyang dished out. I love it.
Zhun coming in/telling everyone that his father made him a sword/his mother is the one that told him too was priceless. It was another jab to the gut for Lianfang. The best part was when he told them that his father listens to his mother no matter what she says/he doesn't get mad. It was a double smack to Lianfang's face. Everything she's done to win Lingyi's heart has backfired/now she sees that his heart belongs to the woman that deserves it...SHIYI.
Another contrast between the concubines and Shiyi is her attitude towards art. Shiyi is so naive, she doesn't realize how much her phrase told Lingyi about her attitude towards him. Lingyi drew the right conclusions from the story with the gift. Besides, I think he wants to see Shiyi's first reaction to the gift himself. The hairpin is not the most expensive gift, but she really likes it. I must say that the hairpin is really very beautiful. He has the opportunity to once again touch her.
Shiyi really has a great way of getting Lingyi involved in raising her son. She so sweetly orders him to make a toy for her son. Zhun is right, dad obeys mom. I think she's the only one who could afford to say that. Shiyi really did not expect him to have such skills. HER dumbfounded expression, so eloquent. I love his silent plea for help when Zhun retreats. Huge progress in his relationship with his son, for the first time Zhun hugs his father, he ceases to be a stranger to him. The fact that Zhun gets up on his own and does not cry shows how important his father's opinion/attention is to him. Shiyi is right, Lingyi is a perfect role model for his son. She gave Lingyi a lesson on how to behave with a child, complimented her husband. And her tactic worked. Lingyi did everything that GM and Yuanyan had previously wanted from him without unnecessary scandals and quarrel. No wonder dad never gets angry at mom's words and always listens to him.
Danyang's shots at Lianfang are priceless. I don't think Lingyi is upset that Lianfang doesn't have a baby. And where would he come from, considering how hard he ignores her. GM should wonder why all of a sudden, Danyang sided with Shiyi so abruptly.
@@Irynash11 I just had to rewatch this scene to see where different nuances between Shiyi/Lingyi after your comment. You are absolutely right about the differences between the concubines/Shiyi regarding art. I totally forgot about his individual visits with them...maybe because he didn't visit them after that...lol However, when he was talking to Qin about the art piece she was totally lost. She didn't know how to respond to him or hold a conversation about it. Here when he talks about her drawing/she explains the piece to him...the look on his face change. He couldn't believe how knowledgeable she was about the subject. He hit the jackpot. She impressed him again.
Yes, he wanted to see her reaction to his gift/to spend some time with her. It was a beautiful moment/he even got to touch her....lol My man is learning the art of seduction. She is putty in his hands. I love the look she gave him when she told him that he had to wait/see. She was flirting with him with her eyes. I didn't notice that before but my girl was actually flirting with her husband. I don't think she aware of it....lol
Zhun is absolutely right his dad listens to his mom. He's seen/experienced Shiyi's masterful skills when it comes to conflict resolution so of course he's going to listen to her. She helped him deal with the refugee problems by giving him a viable solution. She save the Xu family from ruin by handling the moldy rice incident. She carefully/masterful manipulated the GM/Lianfang so that she can find the source of Zhun's illness....when the old lady confined her to her quarters. He knows firsthand not to underestimate his wife.
Yes, she is masterful when it comes to establishing a relationship between Lingyi/Zhun. Her gentle nature made it easy for father/son to bond. Lingyi was so lost when Zhun stepped back from his touch. He looked to Shiyi for help/she came through. Her gently nudge at Zhun as she pushed him closer to his father was exactly what they needed. When she told him that he'sthe best role model for his son it just sealed the deal especially when he saw how Zhun responded after falling. He knew that his wife was right again. His cute little smile at the end just melted my heart.
Danyang dig towards Lianfang is priceless/well deserved. The GM is oblivious yet again about Lianfang's actions. I love how she reminds Lianfang every chance she gets that Lingyi has never touched her or given her the time of day. The GM is still holding out hope that Lianfang will eventually have a child. It would have to be an immaculate conception considering that Lingyi isn't on board.
