    Thanks for another great tutorial. May I ask if the moderating variable can be of three or more categories and not dichotomous? Is SmartPLS able to analyse simultaneously 7 IV and 1 DV moderated by 5 moderators which are dichotomous as well as more than two categories (3-5 categories)? Thanks in advance.

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am glad you liked it.
      Yes Smart PLS is able to analyse all 9f 8t in a model. A moderator may have more than 2 categories but then you will need to create dummy variables.

    thank you prof for the tutorial. however, I'm not sure if my version of smartpls4 does not have the option for "Report" thus I unable to locate the fsquare

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching. You have f square statistics when you run PLS SEM. Jyou can also have a p value for f square if you run complete bootstrapping.

    Hi Prof. Fawad,
    Thank you for your detailed explanation. However, I have a question that how we can conduct moderation analysis for categorical variable that has more than 2 levels?
    And also, I think the link for the excel file for plotting is malfunction, it would be grate that you can upload a usable link again.
    Thank you.

      Pleasure. The process remains the same. You will need to create dummy variables and add the dummy variables. Do not add all, leave one out as a reference category.

    Dr.Fawad, for testing categorical moderators, can you kindly explain when we should use this method and when we should use MGA? I would also be very grateful if you could recommend some papers which I can read on this subject. Thank you.

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Please use MGA if the categorical variable is affecting all the relationships. Otherwise, use categorical variable as moderator through interaction.

      @@researchwithfawad Thank you very much for the tutorial videos about SmartPLS 4, very helpful! Can I use the interaction effect as you demonstrated in the video (code the groups into 0,1,2,3)? Or should I go to use the PLS-Multigroup analysis (MGA)? Thank you in advance for your help!

    @ faawad sir do u have created dummy variables for type of banks in spss first then u did analysis in smartpls for type of banks
    Sir i have 3 iv, s and 3 dv, s and my moderator is gender should I also create dummy variables for gender first then go for further analysis
    Also should i perform multi group analysis tooo

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the dummy variables were created in SPSS. No need to create dummy for dichotomous variables. Multigroup analysis is only required if you want to assess differences in each group for the relationships in the study.

  • @najmulhoda19
