this is my absolute favorite Christine hair tutorial. i’m dressing as Christine for my Broadway themed sweet 16 in a few days and, though I have short hair, I was able to pull this off because of you clear and concise instructions. thank you so much!
How lovely! I think this is spot on. Sierra Boggess is my favorite Christine, and I adore the wig they use and how it follows the natural red/auburn to her hair. So pretty! Would you ever consider doing any Love Never Dies looks?
Thank you very much! Yes, I probably would, unfortunately I have gotten so wrapped up in other projects recently, that I have not had time to make any new tutorials. :/ But hoping to get back to doing them soon!
You look so much like Christine!! Omg I love this. Could you maybe do a cosette hair style from les mis I have a cosette dress I just finished making but I need a hair style to go with it. But this video was so helpful I have my replica of Christine's wishing dress so this hairstyle will be perfect for that :)
Thank you so much! I am hoping to do more tutorials, but am unfortunately really busy with other projects. That would probably be one I get to eventually though. :)
Courfeyrac how much did christines wedding dress cost and cosette to make??? just cos for future reference ive always wanted a long gorgeous dress like christines
smartiegirl112 It cost from $50-$100 and a lot of hours depe ding on how much detail you wish to add. With the pattern I used, fabric, and buttons, zippers, and ribbons it gets quite exspensive. Though it doesn't have to be if you wait for sales and such.
that is insanely accurate… dayum… i just wish my hair was as thick as yours because if i were to do those curls it wouldn't look as good. great job! ur a rare one that knows what their talking about. everyone else that tries to recreate this is a joke, this is legit. thank you.
Lovely curls! My favorite Christine is Sierra Boggess and the wig she used at 25th anniversary was so beautiful, My hair is too short to those curls yet but lets see if I can do it for Christmas.
I Love the character Christine Daae & I Love how she always has her hair I would love to see a version of Emmy Rossum's Christine Daae hair tutorial I was always curios as to how she had her hair sometimes it was loose and other times it look like she had half of it pinned back somehow I was wondering if that tutorial can be made for those who are Emmy Rossum fans for her character Christine Daae thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Sarah Durnesque, I'm Marina Gonzalez and I just started TH-cam, I wanted to say thanks for doing this hairstyle, because it turned out so beautiful. I also did the hairstyle because the Phantom of the Opera is my favorite musical.
this is a brilliant tutorial. I had hair like this when i was little but it got very thick and heavy and my hair lost the ringlets. This would be lovely for a wedding too
Wow, this looks so much like the real deal! I am pretty late (last comment was six years ago, OUCH). I am in the process of convincing my mom to either make or buy the Star Princess dress for Halloween. I would buy a wig, but I think it would be cheaper to do hairstyle. Anyways, this was SOOO helpful! Thank you so so much! 💕
Hey there! Loved this video, was just wondering if you could post a video on how to do Christine's hair the way they did it in the movie. I thought it looked absolutely gorgeous on Emmy Rossum and am super curious about how to do it.
wow this is a wonderful video i was wondering though if you could do the hairstyle of Christine in the point of no return 2004movie? either way your really really talented.
I will defiantly use this method (Oncee I perfect it) for my Distinguished Young Woman pageant junior year. My talent my vocal teacher decided on was sining Phantom of the Opera (a mix of the lyrics) with keeping the last part with Ramin Karimloo's voice. And cosplay costume, so I am excited to try this!!!
Thank u for this, I just have a question, if u don’t have tiny curling iron for the small curls in the front is there another way to that part if u don’t have a tiny curling iron, since I don’t think u can get the same result with a bigger curling iron, is there another way? Like would it have a similar result if u wrapped ur hair around a pencil and put a straightener over it to curl ur hair ??
I love it! I have a quick question and i was wondering if you can help me on how she does her hair with no bangs hanging out like it back when she does "think of me" or the masquerade.. its for my project. I'd appreciate if you can show a video or tell me instructions please. Thank you
Thank you so much for making this tutoriel! My friend and I are going as the Phantom and Christine and I was freaking out because I had no clue as to how I was going to copy her hair!! I wonder though, do you think it would still work with center back long hair in the back and "boob" length hair in the front? I'm a bit scared because my hair is VERY layered...what do you think?
My hair won’t hold a curl, no matter how much hair product I use! I’ve tried mousse, gel, oil, spray, etc, in combination with each other, as well! I’m on the brink of trying super glue! Help!
Hi my name is Chloe! My school is doing Beauty and the Beast JR. for our spring musical and I watched your regular/town hair Belle, and I was wondering if you could do a video on her Ballgown/Ballroom scene hair. I have auditions this coming week and im hoping to get the part of Belle. Thanks, Chloe
***** - I'm not really sure, it's been awhile since I filmed this, probably about an hour while I curled the rest. You can always heat curl them which will be more instantaneous.
Hm, well that might have to wait a bit. It seems to mostly be a shorter, curled bob and my hair's almost down to my waist right now. This is a non-filmed tutorial that I have showing a similar style though in the meantime: durnesque(DOT)deviantart(DOT)com/art/A-Touch-of-Twenties-377145052
Which movie? I actually have a generic regency tutorial on my deviantart, but let me know which Lizzie you're thinking of too. :) durnesque(DOT)deviantart(DOT)com/art/Much-Ado-About-Hair-266707573

germangirl4017 yes I agree there
I wouldn't ever be able to see what is happening behind me but it's my dream to style my hair like this lol
OMG thank you so much for talking about bangs sometimes for hair tutorials a lot of people don't talk about bangs so I don't know what to do
You're very welcome! I've had bangs, so I understand the struggle!

Awww... thank you very much!
Lovely curls! My favorite Christine is Sierra Boggess and the wig she used at 25th anniversary was so beautiful, My hair is too short to those curls yet but lets see if I can do it for Christmas.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it!
The "wig" whish Sierra used was her real hair.
That wasn't he real hair... Sierra has red hair
xD We're gonna have to ask her... I'm sure she used a wig... It looked very natural, but I still thinking it was a wig...
francesca grace But in that time she has not hair as red as today
I'm doing my hair like this for my prom. :)

I've had a couple of requests for this, but am super bus right now... hopefully I'll have time for it eventually!
I thougt it was a wig o.o because hair is is not so long and than curls?? No.. I think it's a wig.
Wow! You look awesome, you really did channel your inner Christine

Thank you so much! Love this look, very feminine, classy and flattering! Doing this looks for my graduation pictures

and now I regret cutting my hair short
Aww... well thank you!
Wow! This is absolutely lovely! I've been looking for one like this for so long. You totally fit the Christine look!
You've done a wonderful job of recreating the hair!!!
I'm learning so much about hair styling from you!

This is wonderful! Your hair is gorgeous, thanks for the tutorials!
omg, can you please do glinda from wicked, both her first act hair and her bubble dress hair
You make such a lovely Christine!
This was soo lovely!! ^.^ it looks great, can't wait to try this out
Question: can someone tell me about how long it takes for very thick hair? I need to know how soon I need to start
I'm trying to decide if doing this will be worth it for my costume.....
Amazing!! Can you do a Sweet Charity hairstyle? From the musical??? It'd be great!!!
Wow i love ur curls...
Thak you for your answers. You´re lovable!
Thanks for making this video!
Miss, would you suggest this style to a blonde girl? and what were the materials/supplies you used? thanks.
This is gorgeous!
You remind me of Meredith Braun.
so beautiful
Thank you! I'm so glad to hear that!
Oh gosh! Can you just do my formal hair for me!! Ahhhh!
i am doing this for halloween (this thursday) i only have a 1/2 inch curling iron, do you think that will be alright to be able to create this look?
Thank you so much!
I thought of Christina Applegate in her version of Sweet Charity in Bwy.
Sooo beautiful... 💖👏
magnificent! is this possible to do with extensions? as my hair is above my shoulders in length.
I'm really not sure as I've never worked with extensions... sorry!
My hair won’t hold a curl, no matter how much hair product I use! I’ve tried mousse, gel, oil, spray, etc, in combination with each other, as well! I’m on the brink of trying super glue! Help!

I already have, although the video is on my other channel: How To: Belle's Hair (better explanation/audio).
BREAK A LEG!
What hairspray are you using while curling?
I absolutely love it :)
How long were the curls on top of your head there for? I want to try to imitate that part but I'd only have maximum 30 minutes for them to set...
Loved it!!!! I made the wig, if only I have seen this before XD
How long was your hair when you did this
How long did this take??? I have long thick hair, so I know it'll be a while .-.
Can you do Elizabeth Bennet from "Pride and Prejudice"?
@emily-ann usher and Anaïs Ranger - I'm sorry I missed your comments. Hope everything worked out for your Halloween looks!
***** - I'm not really sure, it's been awhile since I filmed this, probably about an hour while I curled the rest. You can always heat curl them which will be more instantaneous.
Thank you so much! Me too!
its lovely!!!
I don't really know that reference. Is there a specific actress you have in mind? If you can send me links that'd be great. :)
:D So glad it makes you that happy!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
What if you already have naturally curly thick long hair?
I'm sorry, I don't have naturally curly hair, so I'm not really certain how it would translate. I would assume you could just skip the curling?
It's just about midchest in the front, center back in the back.
Do you remember how long it took you to actually do all the curls and pins?
I'm not sure... probably at least a couple of hours... my hair is insanely thick.
DurnesqueOriginals thank u so much for telling that, mine is insanely thick so now I know to start 2 hrs early thnx!
perfect
Perfeito!! Ficou lindo! =D
Yup. ITS WORTH IT
you look like Elizabeth Welch, the christine broadway alternate! :D
*understudy
^.^ You're SO welcome!
I want. Your hair! My hair is so thin it's not even funny.
This is kinda weird, but you have such an intriguing face.
Hm, well that might have to wait a bit. It seems to mostly be a shorter, curled bob and my hair's almost down to my waist right now.
