This is definitely one of my favorite musicals. Last summer, I was lucky enough to get to perform in a stage version of High School Musical, and there was literally a legend about a phantom of the opera. It was indeed an opera house and it was said that if you whistled, the sandbags (used back in the day for the curtain) would fall down because the opera house was once like a sailors thing or something and they communicated by whistling. Right above the sandbags was a light that no one knew how to control. The light would turn on if the so called 'phantom of the Fulton' liked our performance, but it would stay off if it did not. It did flicker quite a bit. No one was ever brazen enough to whistle, so I guess we'll never know for sure if the phantom was a thing or not! I loved the pins and the tutorial! I forgot how much I missed the prom looks!
I could not wait to watch this video as soon as I saw it. I have grown up and fell in love watching this movie. Since a kid I have always dreamt of being in Christine Daeé's shoes.

I remember ever since I was little,I tried putting on a legit show of Phantom(It never happened) but it taught me to explore my imagination, which is the premise for so much of what I do. I remember when I saw the 25 Aniversary show that they had on Netflix. I was enamored by the whole thing. I thought,and still think,that the musical is amazing. You did such a good job with this tutorial. You looked stunning!

Little would I know, my life would somewhat mirror Christines... my father passed away and I too was a ballerina, but I too became a lover, and devoted student to opera! I fell in love with Phantom of the Opera when I was seven. My mother was supporting our family and scraped money together for us two to go see it. I became memorised and at night I would have beautiful dreams revolving around it. I learned French and practiced everyday my singing. I’ve researched so much into the novel, the musical, and everything in between. I have yet to find my Raoul, (or maybe an Erik ), but I know that on my wedding day, I want to also have stars in my hair. Without Phantom of the Opera, I would of had a harder time coping with my father’s loss, but seeing how I related to Christine, I was able to emulate her strength. Phantom gave me hope in a dark time, and I will always have the warmest place in my heart for it. Thank you for this lovely video, reminds me that there are angels everywhere ;) @sarah.hatten

I try to make every part of my cosplays from thrift stores and making things myself. I have such a love for Phantom of the Opera because my mom loved it so much. I still have a booklet my mom got from the play many years ago that she gave to me. I would love to cosplay Christine. I’m sure I could find a dress at a thrift store that I could rework into it. I wanted to say that as well.I'm vienesse and yes those Sissi Haarspangen" are isspired by the flower called "Edelweiß" (a a rare flower that grows in the alps) The origi- nal Hairclips ( 100 % silver ) of Sissi are still in our main Palace Schloss Schönbrunn. Princess elizabeth (nickname sissi) was known for her long beautiful hair that she was taking a looot of care , it literally took half a day for her maids to wash and dry and them when needed. She was also known to be very sporty, in the doorframes of the palece there are ropes with hoopes where she would hang on to and swing. The dress that you are wearing is very similar to hers and if you google her im sure this is going to be the first picture you find of her.(its a very popular painting where she looks over her shoulder) Unfortunatly she was murdered in Genf in swizerland while she was talking a walk (yes we austrians loooooooove spazierengehen) (Wow I didnt knew i know that much middleschoolhistory without googeling )
The only thing that the makeup at the time where sissi lived was making your face as pale and as unhealthlooking as possible by powdering your face white. And sometimes tint your lips read, but that was basicly it. The reason for that was for the women (that were tortured by corsetts, and yes princess sissi was indeed anorexic to fit in thoose silly tiny dresses) to look weak so a strong man had to come and take care of them

OMG!! I've been looking for a while on how to recreate this look! You are gorgeous!!! Phantom of the Opera is my absolute favorite musical (ALW is a genius) and I taught myself how to sing to the movie and musical soundtracks! I'm performing Think of Me at a recital in a couple months and these clips would be amazing! I also said when I watched the movie that I want those clips for my hair for my wedding someday 😍

I wanted to say that as well.I'm vienesse and yes those Sissi Haarspangen" are isspired by the flower called "Edelweiß" (a a rare flower that grows in the alps) The origi- nal Hairclips ( 100 % silver ) of Sissi are still in our main Palace Schloss Schönbrunn. Princess elizabeth (nickname sissi) was known for her long beautiful hair that she was taking a looot of care , it literally took half a day for her maids to wash and dry and them when needed. She was also known to be very sporty, in the doorframes of the palece there are ropes with hoopes where she would hang on to and swing. The dress that you are wearing is very similar to hers and if you google her im sure this is going to be the first picture you find of her.(its a very popular painting where she looks over her shoulder) Unfortunatly she was murdered in Genf in swizerland while she was talking a walk (yes we austrians loooooooove spazierengehen)

The only thing that the makeup at the time where sissi lived was making your face as pale and as unhealthlooking as possible by powdering your face white. And sometimes tint your lips read, but that was basicly it. The reason for that was for the women (that were tortured by corsetts, and yes princess sissi was indeed anorexic to fit in thoose silly tiny dresses) to look weak so a strong man had to come and take care of them
