Super Console X - Does it Play Dreamcast Games on the AtGames Legends Ultimate?

- Hey Dudes link is below for my prior video on how to set up and use the Super Console X (or Super Console X Pro depending on what you have) on the AtGames Legends Ultimate Arcade Machines (either the 1.0 or 1.1 Arcade Cabinets process is the same - Universal Firmware). Many viewers commented on that video or sent me comments after on Social Media asking me to show and discuss running SEGA Dreamcast Games on the AtGames Legends Ultimate via the OTG Feature and if it was a good experience or recommended solution. In this video I tested the 24 Dreamcast Games Included on the 'Build' that came with my Super Console X and I provide my feedback on my findings.

This system comes pre-loaded with anywhere from 30K to 50K games depending on which version you purchase and does emulate MAME Games, any of the Retro 8-Bit and 16-Bit Systems and Handhelds, as well as Nintendo DS, Playstation 1, PSP, and Gameboy Advance very well. It can emulate SOME N64 and Dreamcast games - but not all of them. This device is more expensive than a Raspberry Pi-4 but considering your are spending the money to have someone have everything set up for you to just plug and play can be viewed as a positive thing.

Check the video description for links and info on Super Console X and prior tutorial videos. Honestly I would play all the Arcade Games, And handheld console, 8 bit and 16bit console games on the Legends before trying to play dreamcast. Save that for the TV 📺 😃

Lol yeah man I don't think people realize on average how many hours go onto producing even the short videos lol.
Oh I loved my Dreamcast. Too bad it's so hard to emulate/play. Lots of mixed reviews of Super Console X on Amazon. But on the other hand, it is plug & play for the ALU... well, at least for some games. I wonder if Sega has ever considered putting out their own multi-cade cab.... great show as always PDubs!

Oh yeah - still have mine too (even the keyboard!). But as with all older systems, it is so nice to be able to play them on a multicade machine....
I cleaned out my unfinished part of my basement a few years ago before I got on this retro kick. I gave my GameCube, PS2, Dreamcast and all of the games to Goodwill. Man am I kicking myself today.

Best to just play it on the TV but sometimes fun to plug into the Arcade cabinet.

I love Dreamcast! Nice to see that you can make a lot of the games work. I would also like to see iiRcade get some Dreamcast games

Naiomi version would be better though since all characters unlocked. Wonder if that runs well too
If u want naomi version to work u will need a stronger device like the nvidia shield which is costly so may turn ppl off...I work solely on Android gaming so I may make a video showing it on fb group...

Good review! Are games requiring a keyboard playable? Thinking about Amiga, C64, Atari 8 bit, etc.
Thanks PDubs bummer about the analog mapping. I’d love to be able to play nights into dreams. Does the advanced system have Daytona? Would be great for that one game! Thanks for sweating it out so we don’t have to!
The version I have I don't think Daytona is on there could be on others some of those listing have games lists

Is there a troubleshooting solution to the problem I'm having on my Super Pro X, when trying to dreamcast games?
Problem being, whenever I play a game..when I try to play it later, I get a Close screen to pop up. I've tried changing emulators (only 3 to choose from) and the 1 that works, the game is running in slow motion & the sound is messed up as well. And yes, all 24 games are or have done this.
Any help is greatly appreciated. 👍

No there is not a portrait mode setting on the suoer console x
pdubs is the hdmi otg option to play console x a guaranteed way to play in case one day one cant play with the coinopxs option ?.

Sucks about the shmups not working on this because of the analog not mapped properly. Dreamcast has a great version of gunbird 2 with Morrigan as a playable character. i wonder if you can play the recently released dreamcast port of metal slug 6 on there.
Well, with a controller and in front of your TV you can playbthose games and they work pretty well on the Super console x, just can't get them working on the Legends Arcade Controls.

Does anyone know if the super x console can be used on the arcade legends MINI? (Just wondering if anyone has tried it with success on the mini?)
should work the exact same way as on the larger arcade, its the same user interface and software.

Gonna hook up a PC to it instead. Haven’t seen too many videos that are good out there regarding some examples of folks showing off their set ups with a PC running things.
PC running CoinOps, Launchbox, etc would be better
@@PDubsArcadeLoft I have the Legends gamer pro, wondering if it works well connected to a PC running CoinOps, Launchbox or Hyperspin. Think I'm gonna go with a 4650G or 3400G PC. I was hoping that Atgames would announce a newer more powerful system, one that would be able to hand the 3D Games from the late 90's and up. Might wait a couple of months not like the prices of CPUs going any higher lol. Maybe they will show something at the digital E3 this year.
Have you tested PS1?
Yes Super Console X plays most of those games fairly well.
