learned and still learning a lot from you, thank you ! have tried many other cad programs and returned to silid edge , is more intuitive for me , with your help I'll get there 😉👍
Hello, I would like to mention that the arc rib is done differently in your exercise drawing. The upper boundary connects to the upper edge of the round part with 40mm diameter as per your draft sheet. Another think I noticed, R 95 rib radius is impossible if the design intent is tangent connection of the rib arc at top edge of the round part with 40mm diameter. The correct radius is 93.61 mm.
Thanks for this video, Got to learn more from this video, I would like to draw your attention towards the profile for rib and its dimension of 95 mm is to be drawn from the top edge of Circular Cylinder edge instead from the curve you have shown. You corrected it from 100 to 95 but it was overwritten.
Thank you so much for the feedback. I did not realize this till you pointed it out. Unfortunately, TH-cam does not allow you to edit the video once it is published. Also, I am planning on having a second video on Introduction to sketches and I will cover more simple ways of doing this and other techniques.
Note: For the misplaced rib line. It is also, very easy to select the line and modify/move the 20mm to the middle of the 40mm wide arc. Then, perform the 'rib' command.
Hello, again. I enjoy the courseware, doing it just for fun because I enjoy 3D-modeling. One question, instead of projecting sketches which requires multiple mouse clicks, would it be ok to restore a consumed sketch, or are there any disadvantages with that method? That way I have all consumed edges back to life with just 2 mouse clicks- provided I need them on the same plane as of the original sketch
Thank you for the feedback. You got it right. There are many ways to get the drawing done, and it seems that it came to my mind when I was recording the video to do it this way. Your way is far better. Thanks, and good luck.
Use save as to save your file in a format that is acceptable by the other software. My students were able to move files between three different software without any difficulties. Good luck.

Thank you so much. Now I can complete some part of my assignment
Great!

thankyou sir
Good explanation
Thanks and welcome
thank you so much
Thanks for the comment. I am glad you like the video.
Sir how to export solid edge model to dxf drawing?

@@drmseif thank you 😊
