It was good to meet you too Alan and have a chat, you picked the right day at the overland , we are sat here in the rain at the moment!! ☔️ …cheers Andy&Michelle
A very interesting and diverse watch guys thanks very much. Love how the J cuts match to the audio, really gives it a professional feel. It's a couple of years since we were up in the region of Scotland , thanks for helping us revisit it. ATB H and M
You've just taught me something 😀. I didn't know there was a name for the J cuts technique. I've used them a little before in the past, Michelle was the one suggesting to use it more 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Thanks for taking me places I'd never go! I mean on those bike trails, not Scotland :-) Oh that truck was pretty special, he must have a very understanding wife. If I rocked up onto the drive with that monster and said "let's go tour Europe" I hate to think the reaction I'd get. Yes, you're right a bit of Sun does really make all the difference, changes the whole landscape. It's good to experience both though, as low cloud and mist give it a certain feel too. Thanks for sharing.
Some of the bike trails we probably shouldn’t go to either but these things seem to happen, it looked ok on the map! There were actually more a lot more weather comments that didn’t make the cut !! Cheers…Andy&Michelle
Brilliant as always guys, Broomfields looks good, we were looking at Ardmair Point as a launching point from Ullapool to Lewis and Harris but Broomfield fish and chips might have changed that!! Cycle looked challenging 😂 in places. Great video though, we love Wester Ross huge empty places. Great video thanks for sharing, Ian and Lyndz.
Ardmair Point looks good also but yes the fish and chips were special. Do you know that you are our encyclopaedia of Scotland, we always learn something new from your comments 😀 Cheers both...Andy&Michelle
Another great vlog guys…with some of my favourite scenery. Need to get back up soon. The time and effort just shines through in your vlogs. 👌🏼 Take care x
You guys have created some fantastic content that I have been enjoying here in the United States as I am preparing for a vacation to do the NC 500 in 2023 If either of you have any advice, suggestions for extra information that I would love to hear of it
Thanks 😊 its great to hear you are enjoying our channel and it has reached the United States 😀 Re the NC500, The West Coast is best to aim to spend more time on that side, there's so much to see we didn't cover all of it, if you have chance go to the islands on the West Coast, we drove straight though Glencoe which along with the Cairngorms are also worth seeing. Depends how much time you have? If you are going May-Sept be aware you may face the dreaded midges. Don't worry about the small roads, there are passing places everywhere and most play fair - the rule is pull into a passing place on the left only , if its on the right the other vehicle will pull in. - thats a quick brain dump! If you have any questions happy to answer 😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Thanks 😀, the LPG is very close, just on the edge of the town. It's not actually a fuel garage this one, just pull up into the yard and on the right you'll see the big LPG tank. just ask one of the workers and they'll ask you to go into the office afterwards to pay. Cheers
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Thanks for the quick response. I fancy a trip around Scotland later this year and have an LPG tank so it’s always handy to know where it is available. Enjoy your latest Pyrenees adventure, I sure will 😎😎
Yet another fantastic video from you both and as always it was beautifully filmed with such amazing scenery 👏👏👏 Where did you find that route for your bike ride it looked rather difficult in more than a few places. Looking forward to watching the next instalment of your Scotland adventure. 👍⛰🚐📹🚵🚵♀️
Thanks Mark, this route just popped out as an obvious choice when we looked at the OS Map, it was actually then also seconded by a runner we spoke to in the tourist information so we knew it was going to be a good one. Quite rough and tough in places though, even with ebikes⛰🚵♀️, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
It definitely was one that tested the bikes out, wouldn't have liked to have a problem there. We didn't see a soul for hours but loved the wilderness of it, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Great adventure guys, I love Ullapool, Knockencrag is a really great place for a quick visit. Drone footage was really good, what are you using? I use a Phantom 4 pro but was looking for something more portable and noticed your shots had some serious wind but didn’t affect the drone?
Hi, it’s great to hear you are enjoying our adventures, we are using a DJI mini2 in our latest videos, previously a mavic pro but some of the shots you are seeing may not be from a drone at all, I have a 3m pole with a 360 camera on the end which gives drone like shots, even that in high winds can be difficult to hold but at least it won’t blow away! 😀🤞 cheers …Andy&Michelle
Hi Alan, unfortunately we didn't, while making the map for this video we noticed a lot of great things we'd driven straight past on the journey from Durness to Ullapool, next time we'll do this leg of the journey much slower and take in all the sights like the Wailing Widow falls, thanks for point it out to us 😀👍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
It’s just under two hours from Durness to Ullapool I think it would be quicker by car I’ve done it in an hour and a half by car hope this answers your question 👍😊
Well done. Makes me want to visit the tourist spots I usually avoid. The bike ride was sensational. My son would love it.
Thanks, yes as a tourist spot this one is ok! 😀 cheers…Andy&Michelle
Breathtaking views and filming, thanks.
Thanks Les, glad you enjoyed it…Andy&Michelle

Catching up on my viewing. Are you sure that route was meant for bikes! 😲. Amazing views. xx
Bike and Hike, they sound similar! maybe we got them mixed up!! 🤣 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Well that was what you call off road biking. Great stuff guys, can’t wait to see you tomorrow 😊
Yes, a bit rough that one in places, will be great to see you tomorrow 😊
Glad you liked the Fish & Chips, good to meet you en route
It was good to meet you too Nigel, thanks for the fish and chips recommendation, they were spot on!! 👍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Amazing place, great editing & good choice of music 👏
Thanks very much! 👍😀 Cheers..Andy&Michelle
Lovely video, you found some great sites 👍
Thanks Alex 😀 lots of great sites around there
Can I ask you what drone you had for some of the footage, which was really good.
Hi, it’s a DJI mini 2, shoots 4K, great little drone 😀 cheers
Wow! Another great video 😎😎
BTW how far from Ullapool was the garage with LPG please?
Thanks 😀, the LPG is very close, just on the edge of the town. It's not actually a fuel garage this one, just pull up into the yard and on the right you'll see the big LPG tank. just ask one of the workers and they'll ask you to go into the office afterwards to pay. Cheers

Did you go to Wailing Widow falls on the way down from Durness to Ullapool, if it had been raining ☔️ a bit the waterfall would have been good to see.

How is he moving his GoPro Max camera (on his dash)???
Hi, the Max is a 360 camera so there’s no physical movement, it shoots every angle and then the movement is created in the edit, cheers…Andy&Michelle
Thnx. Obvious now but confused me.
@@JimJohn5555 it mystifies a lot of our viewers! 😀
Wow!

Great video, some awesome footage. Im heading up to Scotland next Saturday in my C-tourer. How long did the drive take from Durness to Ullapool?
