I decided id just build a full upper so I did same as you and went with BCM reciever and MCMR 13" rail to house the Rosco. The DB15 upper was way overgassed. I put a Tubbs flatwire spring to see if that could tame some of the kick along with a Spikes 4oz buffer. Why would I be cleaning it?
@operatorsanonymous are you sure it will not jam in harse weather condition.
@kaizou2184 yes. I've ran it in pretty much every condition, aside from snow (cause I'm in Florida). But dust, rain, sleet, mud, the heat, the cold, it keeps going. I've gone days where I put 1000-1500rnds through it in a day both suppressed and unsuppressed. They just work.
@@operatorsanonymous 👍 that's a goddam gun ...
So machine turn your gov profile barrels got it
@Hiddencomment007 no just get an Hbar or taper profile.
Always heard not to loosen with a torque wrench.
@racker7855 not enough torque being applied here to hurt anything. If you've got a bolt with 100ftlbs+ on it or something seezed up, then yeah, use a breaker bar. But I'm not doing a whole lot with a wrench made to do 200ftlb the internals can handle it.
I just don’t chance it. Takes 2 seconds to grab a bar. IMO
New to your channel. Just subd! Great info!!!
Thanks my guy. 🤙
Great video! I just recently switched out my Diamondback firearms gov't profile 16" bbl for a Rosco K9 13.9". I decided id just build a full upper so I did same as you and went with BCM reciever and MCMR 13" rail to house the Rosco. The DB15 upper was way overgassed. I put a Tubbs flatwire spring to see if that could tame some of the kick along with a Spikes 4oz buffer. With new Rosco I'm unsure if the weight and spring are too much because ejection is at like 5 o'clock. I haven't had issue yet with bolt locking back. Do you have any opinions on Tubbs spring??
@@jonathanangieri153 I just recommend the Blue sprinco. We haven't had a Tubns out.
Is that a BCM 13” MCMR upper?
Bcm upper, 13" MCMR, gas system and charging handle
@@operatorsanonymous thanks! How’s the accuracy on the stock BCM barrel? That was some impressive group you put up with the Criterion barrel for sure. I’m looking to add a 14.5” gun to my arsenal
@warweaponx6629 i haven't grouped a newer (less used) bcm barrel yet. The ones I have done do well though.
@@operatorsanonymous Thanks. You have a great channel. I’ve subscribed
@warweaponx6629 appreciate it man. Keep an eye out. We have a vid planned that involves accuracy testing between multiple different manufacturers and BCM is on the list of guns I plan on having out.
dang i just bought a black friday ballistic advantage barrel for 99 bucks. hopefully it aint junk
@nj-bz8pv check it out. Biggest things I see is a crooked gas port, feed ramps not cut right, or the camber is rough.
It's a $99 barrel. Don't expect more than it costs
@@Not_Sure_81 it was one of their premium(299) barrels on sale. sub moa guarantee
For a big guy, you move quick and steady. Good job man. Instant sub to your channel. Aloha from Hawaii
shit, id run my PSA $500 rifle against any $3,000 AR15. I bet I would perform just fine if not even better.
@loveforever5687 Yeah, I've heard that. Then said rifles fail when ran out here.
Why do you not like a nickel boron bcg?
They flake.
@operatorsanonymous1741 never had issues with any of mine but thanks for the reply.
Criterion or Rosco bloodline 👀
@CoolKid-mg9bo both are good. I swapped cause of the profile. If the 14.5 Rosco Husky had been in stock I'd have gotten that.
@@operatorsanonymous so let’s say if one already had a 10.5 223 wyld but doesn’t want to take apart the current one for a new rail would you suggest getting the rosco? Or would you just go with taking apart the 10.5 criterion you already have and installing the new rail
@CoolKid-mg9bo I'd just redo the rail
HEY IM IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW AR I WANT I DONT WANT A 16 IN BUT IVE ONLY HAD A 7.5 AR15 BUT I WANT IT TO LAST AND I WANT IT FOR HOME DEFENSE AND BUT I ALSO WANT TO SHOOT IT UP TO 300 YARDS MY LIMIT IS 15 TO 1800
I WAS LOOKING INTO THE WATCHTOWER TYPE 15 CQB BC I NEVER BUILT A AR BEFORE BUT U MAKE IT LOOK EASY BUT I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR
I cannot get my MCMR handguard off. That looked too easy.
@declineofthewest. to get it off attach a vert grip to the top of the rail close to the receiver. Using a 1" wood dowl about 18" long, tap it off. That's also the method for installing.
Try using a heat gun. It comes right off. Heat again to reinstall.
Nickel Boron works great for me, why don't you like nickel boron?
The coating flakes off with use.
Can we get a build video for your 10.5/11.5?
I plan on it at some point. I'm need rebarrel it soon as well so likely after that.
Criterion is my go to barrel now. My 11.5 is spot on with a Core series. Nice setup.
❤❤❤. If I can ask,,,,,,,,, At 23:55. Where you guys are Training/Shooting at???? Is that anywhere in Florida Or Georgia??????? If so can you shoot there with a Membership or just while at a Class????? I’m now in Ocala and spend time now and then in Titusville with my Brother there and I’m looking for some Ranges he and I can go to together and or Rifle and or 2-3 Gun Competition’s at. And it also, looks like a great group of guys there. FYI I’m former Army Intelligence but been a Firearm guy since a kid. (Not. FED 😊). FYI a recently Retired Respiratory Therapist and R.N. now with more time on my hands.
Private range. We don't have outside classes at the moment.
most fed looking comment ive ever read in my miserable life
@@blakeslide6919 well I do wish I had a .gov retirement. I understand how we all are so paranoid nowadays. The truth is after being in the medical field so long in a female dominated arena I found a home in IDPA even being a treasurer for 3 yrs there ( Florida West Coast Defensive Pistol Club) we were in Ruskin Florida but after I stopped competing the club moved to Pinellas County and I miss the community. Work and a second wife and new Heat intolerance from then new cardiac issues pealed me away and now that I’ve been forced into retirement early from the worsening cardiac issues I now have time to try to reenter the hobby. Maybe get into Scoped Carbine Semi-Precision. But I won’t be able to Run n gun. Maybe a walk n gun🥲and not shoot for score . Not really a bolt action type guy. Whenever I find a new shooting group I’ll have no problem giving out my true civilian credentials 😀. We all need to be careful. So I take no offense to your post. Take Care n stay safe.
All communities should have gun ranges. We need that as a Florida and national law. Must be in the plans of every new community and every county should an active range like in this video or like Barrel & Hatchet used to have. I think the land owner of that range sold out to developers.
Wow! No head space check with a new barrel & previous service bcg…🤔
Wow! No. I've never done that. Maybe he bout a head spaced bolt from Criterion. Maybe he didn't. You got some head space gauges we can borrow or you just gonna make ghey comments?
Love this video! Do you have a vid showing a build out the box? How much for lessons?
I don't offer any classes. I usually just build for myself or friends.
I’m also in Jacksonville. Just came across your channel. You ever train out at Tangodown?
I'm about 9 miles up 301 from TD. But honestly, man, I avoid them. That Hesco berm isn't safe at all.
hey ik this guy!
New sub here just found you glad I did
Gotta love BCM/Criterion combo!
