In today's video, I will be sharing a quick and easy recipe on how to make infuse lemon peel essential oil! lemon is known for its brightening properties and also packed with vitamin C .Tt helps out with pigmentation, dark spots ,and anti-aging as well! your skin will definitely love it.
Recipe
3 fresh lemons
4 ounces of jojoba oil
2 ounces of sunflower oil

I made my own orange and lemon bath soak and shower gel. I grinded the peels and added shea butter & argan oil bodywash to the small bottle I used to put all the ingredients. I also added a small amount of water to dilute so it won't be so thick and omosh, I use it to shower. The sweet scent. 😍 I also added the blended orange & lemon peels with some vit E oil to another small bottle for my soak bath with sea salt & eucalyptus leaves. The scent is so sweet, and it's out of this world. I'm obsessed now. After a week, you can see the oil color in the bottle difusing. You won't regret making this.
the orange peel has skin softening properties too and helps get rid of dead skin and ingrown hair

Do you store them in plastic bottles?
swap that sunflower out for coconut liquid oil or avocado oil ,leave it in for minimum of 2 weeks, maybe if you let the grinded peel dry out overnight first to decrease the water content then you can squeeze out the cloth because thats where most of the goodies are

U need to remove moisture before starting. I will use food dehydrator and get lemons dried. End with the coconut oil. Then put in dark glass bottles. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. ❤

You can add a couple of drops of an organic preservative. That will help shelf live. I use fresh lemons for my honey & lemon soaps.
That’s not essential oil that’s lemon tincture. You have to distill it in order to get an essential oil.
Tincture is infused in alcool if you want to use it as remedy.
That’s not a tincture either bc tinctures have alcohol it’s just infused lemon oil
How do you sanitize the jar n can you double boil method
Not a tincture it’s an infusion
@@muniraahmed8208I put the jar in a cold oven and heat it on low heat for about 15 minutes, then turn off the oven and wait for it to cool.😊

The water is the breeding ground for bacteria long term. Consider separating it and use of a natural preservative to enjoy it longer. Great video,

Not likely safe beyond a few days in fridge without a preservative due to the water content.Bet it’s lovely when made fresh though-best to make a very small batch , refrigerate and use within a few days.

What is its life?
Not more than a few days in the fridge due to the water content. It would need a preservative and some antioxidants as well to prevent spoilage. If the peels had been dried out completely first, it would probably last a few months without a preservative and wouldn’t require refrigeration at all.

Leave for 3mths not 9 days just add more oil. Or use dry lemon skin and powder it down no water is in the fruit.
Si tu met pas un conservateur ton huile va renssire car elle a été en contact avec l eau . D où l intérêt de chauffer au bain marie pour évaporer la phase aqueuse. Les huiles essentielles ce font avec un alambic et ce ne sont pas des huiles elles s évaporent. Ils faut bcp de plantes pour obtenir 5ml d huile essentielle pure , d où le prix et l efficacité thérapeutique rien à voir. Les macérât sont très bien pour la cosmétique ou les huiles parfumées c est tout

That is not lemon essential oil or tincture. That is lemon infused oil. Having water in it makes it susceptible to mold.

Citrus oils, ALL citrus fruits are known skin irritants. The oils have chemical compounds that, once on the skin, in the sun become incredibly irritating and damaging.
People think the juice of citrus has vit C, it does, but it is not in a chirally correct form that the skin recognizes, so it does nothing but.... irritate. If you want to experiment, fine but dont ruin your face in the process.
Buy a reputable Vit C product and use it. And dont forget, sunblock is the best anti aging product 💖💖💖💖💖

If you are a deeper skin tone, Blackgirl sunscreen is awesome and doesn't leave a white cast also black female owned brand. Another is Unseen Sunscreen, I cant remember the brand name but it is also clear and leaves no white cast. Physical sunscreens are what leave a white cast, zinc and titanium dioxide. Chemical sunscreens dont leave any color, so look for them when trying a sun block 💖💖💖

This is not essential oil because it is not 100% Lemon oil.
Seed oil is one if the most unhealthy things you can eat. May be use olive oil.
