Do you have a way to tip? your teachings, work and videos are top notch and I would love to help. I know this takes hours of work. Thanks for your content
There is! Along the bar where the like button is, is another button that looks like a dollar sign inside a heart called "Super Thanks" (it might be in one of those drop down menus that looks like three dots). By clicking on that, you can make a donation to the channel. I appreciate that you appreciate how much time and effort this takes.
Glad to see you back. I was surprised to notice that I wasn't subscribed as I've watched, and enjoyed, many of your other videos. I promptly fixed that. Thanks for all the instruction you poured into this one.
Great to have you back, and thank you for all your hand tool woodworking tips, I always pick up a few gems from every one of your videos. This seems like a fun project, and it's nice to see some classic Ryan Cheney design elements built in. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build!
Thanks for this. This is excellent. Though I knew all about crosscutting, but that tip about going horizontal at the end was news to me. D Liked the spring clip as well.
Love seeing a multi part build series. The techniques come up naturally and are reinforced by the previous videos focusing on categories. Somehow the aluminum straight edge is 38 inches. So weird I swear it was always 36 inches. 12, 18, 24, and then 38. Haha. Been in the middle of my list for a while. Using aluminum rulers has worked well enough.
Hamilton tool works also makes a nice panel gauge, looks nice, but not cheap. I got his marking knife and standard marking gauge and both have been excellent.
Thanks for your excellent videos! I'm relatively new to using hand tools. Your commentary as you work is especially helpful. Reminds me of helping my dad as a boy. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom through these videos. I've enjoyed and learned from every one of them.
Thanks for the great video- this is indeed something I'd like to get on my production list for holiday gift giving. I find that a t-square or even a combination square, like pecker woods 12 inch, is good for parallel marking as well. That being said, I'd like to build a panel gauge similar to yours sooner than later- beautiful tool.

Great, thorough teaching on a very useful build project. Looking forward to the following parts of this build..
This is a great project idea, and one in which I’d encourage others to keep regifting to others over time. Keep passing it on!
Thank you for making this. I also love using hand tools and it’s nice to see more project videos.

Oo! Good recommendation!

I will be calling it pecker woods from now forward. Thank you.
Good to see you back. We get more chances to re-equilibriate. Did you get a mtb ride in over in Switzerland?
I didn't. It rained a lot while we were there, but at least I got some running in.
the bandsaw can be used for crosscutting as well, right?
If the board will fit, sure!
