I was / am YEARS behind the Gilmore Girls, I just watched all of it and it’s also, now been years since the Year In The Life. I can’t believe they left the show hanging like that. I hope someone else puts money behind it and more episodes are made. ~ Nov ‘21
I really hope Netflix picks up another series.. I really don’t want this brilliant show to die. It backed by such a huge fan base and has aged incredibly well. Don’t leave it too late Netflix and Amy. I truly believe that with Netflix support you could reboot the entirety of Gilmore Girls and introduce a lot more.. like Rory having a family etc.

I don't expect closure in a series like this. Life goes on and on and you never know what happens next. There is no straight line ever. Watching 'A Year..' was weird, because so much time had passed, but overall I really liked it.

This by far was a better interview than the one in Facebook headquarters the other day. Much of that audience hadn't seen all 4 episodes, combined with the fact that the moderator was less than stellar.
I freaked out at the end of the the forth episode, and not because of the ending, but because there were only 4 episodes. well i also did freak out about the way "Rory" said at the end.

The ONLY reason that ASP finally asked Melissa to be in the revival is Melissa said that she was never asked & the fans were in an uproar. ASP is basically a mean girl & in the world of ASP, the fat funny sidekick doesn't become a movie star. I think that ASP thought that Lauren would become the movie star. The only good part of AYITL is Emily's story. The rest sucked.

They probably just thought they couldn't afford her and that she'd be way too busy.

Jess was didn't treat Rory how she should've been treated when they were dating but when Rory was dating Logan he was so nice to her. He was also really nice to her when she was struggling with her career in the reunion. So I really think it would be good if they ended up together.

Jess hasn't read the book yet, but when he finally get around to reading it. He realizes that he is the father of her child. and this time, rory proposes to him. They are the actors playing the role, and the final scene where she proposes, she doesnt give him the script chapter. They end up having a proposal on set. They have a very gg wedding, and move in together to philadelphia. They have the baby, and Lorelai and Luke, Emily, Rory and Jess, and everyone else live happily ever after. GOD. How difficult is it to have a happy ending????
I used to really enjoy the show, but the returning 4 episodes weren´t that good after all, the episodes had a bunch of worthless moments like the almost 10 mins wasted on the show about Stars Hollow, they spend 3 full episodes with any growth from the Gilmore Girls to give some closure on the last minutes? It wasn´t worth it
Didn't like the 4 episodes either. They werent as witty as much, the dialogue wasnt as fast for the last 3 episodes for some reason...and unfortunately this was the best th I about the show. And there seemed to be gaps in the script. You could literally see the stars (in some cases) waiting awkwardly or smiling for the other person to finish their line. That never happened before. If they do a spin off for Rory and Logan they need to hire back the witty writer they fired. Because clearly someone is missing from the writting team

That's why it was such a big deal, but she didn't watch the last season out of spite (even though SHE abandoned the show because she wanted more money) and it showed. If she got over herself and watched the series over from start to finish before writing the new episodes, I think we would have gotten a much better revival and better defined characters that weren't floundering and didn't grow at all in between the time gap.

When I started watching the show a few months ago I immediately fell in love with it and all the characters. Absolutely adore it bc nowadays there exists plenty of shows and yet this is one the best!! I'm beyond happy and thankful that Netflix did those 4 episodes and the final ending they made was the most magical, sweetest thing ever, I'll miss watching this show so so much and even it's kinda difficult I really hope they do another reunion and maybe some more chapters in a few years... 🥺❤️❤️
loved the reboot!!! but the ending wth! they definitely left us wanting more. . . hopefully they make more seasons. . .it kind of felt like they picked right back up where they left off and everyone aged so well! come on producers and writers more more
Everyone wants an ending and closure to the show and feel like they didn't get that but I loved that the ending was more open and also left us with some more questions because life goes on and there's no ending on life and that felt more realistic and I think that goes very well with the show. I would never say no to more episodes because I love the show and I would love to see more always but I think it was a great ending

Lorelei best scene is when she is on the trail and calls her mother . Rory' s are ,with Lane at the house . Logan and Life and Death guy's . Rory and Logan's goodbye scene.
My favorite part of " A day in the life" Is Rory's voice has matured. I have to say though, that her story breaks my heart. I also believe that her character will find her way. I would love to see more. The Men on this show are fantastic. Luke, Jess, Dean and Logan. Wonderful. This is my 3rd time through and I had to fast forward through anything with Taylor and April. Cheers to all Kelly is right this show has a genuine goodness that is not cloying. Luke and Suki are the characters that make me laugh most often. LOVE
I actually thought the same thing about the last 4 words reminded me of the Sopranos. I like how they ended it. I hope it gets picked up for another Netflix round, but if it doesn't I would be content with the ending. I would however be upset if it ended like that with the original series. Jess is Rory's Luke, and Logan is Rory's Christopher.

I was a hardcore fan of GG from its first airing in my country almost 20 years ago. I just fell in love with it. I am proud to say that I am one of the original fans. As an original fan, I loved the four seasons. It is GG. Nothig more. Nothing less. GG never had a deeper or philosophical meaning to it. It is just a simple yet beautiful story about a group of people. Yes, the ending of the four seasos was a shocker. I could not move or talk for almost 5 min. But that ending makes sense to me. Yes, the four seasons have so many plot holes. But I am not disappointed at all. I am just happy that I got to see my beloved tv show got renewed and all the people I love were in that show. I guess my expectations were simple and I am fully satisfied.
JUSTBE__GEEKY exactly...it brings the series to a full circle. We first met Lorelai back in 2000 when she was 31 (or was it 32) and she was raising her daughter while trying to achieve her dream (opening an inn with Sookie) and now we have Rory who's the same age as Lorelai when we first met her and is having a child and doing the book (which I'm guessing corresponds to the inn dream). With this logic Lorelai=Rory Rory=Rory's kid Christopher=(most likely) Logan and maybe Luke (man she was meant to be with)= Jess (I never really liked Jess but he really grew up in the revival)
A Person... Sorry but the full circle thing is such a tired cliche. It was a tired cliche when How I met Your Mother chucked out all of Barney's character development and had Robin end up with Ted. It was a cliche when the Kings decided to taint an otherwise awesome series like the Good Wife by ending it with a slap and having Alicia not learn anything at all despite all she went though in 6 seasons. Its screams lazy writing to me even if there is something poetic about it. It doesn't ring true to the characters and is even a disservice. They've somehow regressed and simplified characters that could have been more to Freudian/Elektra complex characterization.
The end of the series was closure. The end of this revival has more questions then answers. It was badly edited, no spark between the main actors. The secondary actors Paris, Jess, Lane, Michel, Sookie all carried this "revival". HUGE disappointment.
How wondetfully refreshing this show is for me. I keep on going back to watch certain sesdons /episodes. It takes me back to my college days way back in the srventies huh yes that's how awesome it is for me and to think I've only startedcwatching it when i heard Carol King take on the show, why because she is my all time icon. 3 years later after the series ended on a cliffhanger it doesn't seem like we'll get closure on the questions that we still have about ongoing storylines.
They had better do more! They totally left it on a cliff hanger and I cried because...what?! How can they drop that on us and then just say..."the end!" No, that can't happen. LOL
I just watched & finished the original show and the revival(2016) series, let me say bring it all back it's been 6 years since the reunion/revival, I mean rorys pregnant we can't leave it there! Also I think Sookie was deff missing from the 4 episodes, I think some character stories could have been seen more and then ended leaving mainly the main characters for further stories maybe, but the OG show was fantastic, didn't watch when I was younger but it was great at age 29 the show aged well in my opinion and I'll prob give it a rewatch at some point in time... great characters, great comedy, chemistry the love etc all good. They don't make shows like this anymore, here's to hoping for more gilmore girls SOON! ❤️
I loved Gilmore Girls. Even though I was so excited about it, in hindsight, they never should have done the sequel. After leaving at the end of Season 6 and the new writers having to battle with the massacre which was left for them (Lorelai going to Chris at the end of the Season!), it finally felt like the show ended on a positive note. They absolutely destroyed Rory's character beyond repair. The one thing Rory always had was her drive and ambition and they completely yanked that away from her. Certain things Lorelai does also felt completely out of character. It was also a huge disappointment that Lorelai and Luke's wedding was so completely rushed and the overshadowed by Rory's announcement. I would have preferred the series to have started with them already married than to have this happen! The only storyline and character which felt completely authentic to the spirit of the show was Emily. You see the pain at losing Richard and then you see her grow from that pain and somehow find herself again. Huge disappointment overall though. I would have preferred to live with the promise of the positive lives ahead for the characters at the end of Season 7 than this. Amy Sherman Paladino's refusal to watch Season 7 was evident and it made for very glitchy storytelling.

Yes, they wrote longer scripts than other hour long shows, but to abandon a hugely successful show and let someone else take over writing it.... so selfish. No care for the fans at all. I was not impressed with what she did with AYITL either unfortunately. I was SO HAPPY to have ASP back and then this is what we got.... sigh. The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel is fantastic though!

Too many complainers here. The 4 Eps were solid. Easily enjoyable. Tugs at the heart strings on occasion. The Stars Hallow Musical Scene was way too long, but other than that we got the majority of the Actors back together after 9 years?! That’s incredible and unheard of for any TV series to pull off. They did the great job but I doubt that they’ll do any more. 8.5/10
but like rory is 32, same age her mother was when she had raised a 16 year old, gotten her into a good school, managed a business and had dreams to start her own. wow.

I would have liked the revival more if there hadn’t been such obvious factual errors in the mythology of the show’s town. It killed the authenticity for me. They spent a whole segment of the revival having Taylor trying to convince everyone to help him get the town off separate septic systems and connected to the county’s pipes. This would be an okay if gross storyline if not for the fact that the town completely got off septic already. In season one, episode 16 “star-crossed lovers and other strangers” Dean is commenting on the grandiose decorating for the starlight festival. “Man, I thought Christmas was a big deal around here.” Rory responds, “Well, this is a town that likes celebrating. Last year we had a month-long carnival when we finally got off the septic system.”

Didn't like the 4 episodes either. They werent as witty as much, the dialogue wasnt as fast for the last 3 episodes for some reason...and unfortunately this was the best th I about the show. And there seemed to be gaps in the script. You could literally see the stars (in some cases) waiting awkwardly or smiling for the other person to finish their line. That never happened before. If they do a spin off for Rory and Logan they need to hire back the witty writer they fired. Because clearly someone is missing from the writting team
@@vuyon5317 They did have Amy Sherman Paladino back for AYITL. That's why it was such a big deal, but she didn't watch the last season out of spite (even though SHE abandoned the show because she wanted more money) and it showed. If she got over herself and watched the series over from start to finish before writing the new episodes, I think we would have gotten a much better revival and better defined characters that weren't floundering and didn't grow at all in between the time gap.
There better Fricken be another episode. So many unanswered questions. Who's the dad? Did Lorelei and Luke get a kid? What happens with Jess and Rory?

When I started watching the show a few months ago I immediately fell in love with it and all the characters. Absolutely adore it bc nowadays there exists plenty of shows and yet this is one the best!! I'm beyond happy and thankful that Netflix did those 4 episodes and the final ending they made was the most magical, sweetest thing ever, I'll miss watching this show so so much and even it's kinda difficult I really hope they do another reunion and maybe some more chapters in a few years... 🥺❤️❤️

Everyone wants an ending and closure to the show and feel like they didn't get that but I loved that the ending was more open and also left us with some more questions because life goes on and there's no ending on life and that felt more realistic and I think that goes very well with the show.
I would never say no to more episodes because I love the show and I would love to see more always but I think it was a great ending

My favorite part of " A day in the life" Is Rory's voice has matured. I have to say though, that her story breaks my heart. I also believe that her character will find her way. I would love to see more. The Men on this show are fantastic. Luke, Jess, Dean and Logan. Wonderful. This is my 3rd time through and I had to fast forward through anything with Taylor and April. Cheers to all Kelly is right this show has a genuine goodness that is not cloying. Luke and Suki are the characters that make me laugh most often. LOVE

I actually thought the same thing about the last 4 words reminded me of the Sopranos. I like how they ended it. I hope it gets picked up for another Netflix round, but if it doesn't I would be content with the ending. I would however be upset if it ended like that with the original series. Jess is Rory's Luke, and Logan is Rory's Christopher.

I was a hardcore fan of GG from its first airing in my country almost 20 years ago. I just fell in love with it. I am proud to say that I am one of the original fans. As an original fan, I loved the four seasons. It is GG. Nothig more. Nothing less. GG never had a deeper or philosophical meaning to it. It is just a simple yet beautiful story about a group of people. Yes, the ending of the four seasos was a shocker. I could not move or talk for almost 5 min. But that ending makes sense to me. Yes, the four seasons have so many plot holes. But I am not disappointed at all. I am just happy that I got to see my beloved tv show got renewed and all the people I love were in that show. I guess my expectations were simple and I am fully satisfied.

We first met Lorelai back in 2000 when she was 31 (or was it 32) and she was raising her daughter while trying to achieve her dream (opening an inn with Sookie) and now we have Rory who's the same age as Lorelai when we first met her and is having a child and doing the book (which I'm guessing corresponds to the inn dream). With this logic Lorelai=Rory Rory=Rory's kid
Christopher=(most likely) Logan and maybe
Luke (man she was meant to be with)= Jess (I never really liked Jess but he really grew up in the revival)

A Person... Sorry but the full circle thing is such a tired cliche. It was a tired cliche when How I met Your Mother chucked out all of Barney's character development and had Robin end up with Ted. It was a cliche when the Kings decided to taint an otherwise awesome series like the Good Wife by ending it with a slap and having Alicia not learn anything at all despite all she went though in 6 seasons. Its screams lazy writing to me even if there is something poetic about it. It doesn't ring true to the characters and is even a disservice. They've somehow regressed and simplified characters that could have been more to Freudian/Elektra complex characterization.

The end of the series was closure. The end of this revival has more questions then answers. It was badly edited, no spark between the main actors. The secondary actors Paris, Jess, Lane, Michel, Sookie all carried this "revival". HUGE disappointment.

How wondetfully refreshing this show is for me. I keep on going back to watch certain sesdons /episodes. It takes me back to my college days way back in the srventies huh yes that's how awesome it is for me and to think I've only startedcwatching it when i heard Carol King take on the show, why because she is my all time icon. 3 years later after the series ended on a cliffhanger it doesn't seem like we'll get closure on the questions that we still have about ongoing storylines.

I just watched & finished the original show and the revival(2016) series, let me say bring it all back it's been 6 years since the reunion/revival, I mean rorys pregnant we can't leave it there! Also I think Sookie was deff missing from the 4 episodes, I think some character stories could have been seen more and then ended leaving mainly the main characters for further stories maybe, but the OG show was fantastic, didn't watch when I was younger but it was great at age 29 the show aged well in my opinion and I'll prob give it a rewatch at some point in time... great characters, great comedy, chemistry the love etc all good. They don't make shows like this anymore, here's to hoping for more gilmore girls SOON! ❤️

I loved Gilmore Girls. Even though I was so excited about it, in hindsight, they never should have done the sequel. After leaving at the end of Season 6 and the new writers having to battle with the massacre which was left for them (Lorelai going to Chris at the end of the Season!), it finally felt like the show ended on a positive note. They absolutely destroyed Rory's character beyond repair. The one thing Rory always had was her drive and ambition and they completely yanked that away from her. Certain things Lorelai does also felt completely out of character. It was also a huge disappointment that Lorelai and Luke's wedding was so completely rushed and the overshadowed by Rory's announcement. I would have preferred the series to have started with them already married than to have this happen! The only storyline and character which felt completely authentic to the spirit of the show was Emily. You see the pain at losing Richard and then you see her grow from that pain and somehow find herself again. Huge disappointment overall though. I would have preferred to live with the promise of the positive lives ahead for the characters at the end of Season 7 than this. Amy Sherman Paladino's refusal to watch Season 7 was evident and it made for very glitchy storytelling.

Yes, they wrote longer scripts than other hour long shows, but to abandon a hugely successful show and let someone else take over writing it.... so selfish. No care for the fans at all. I was not impressed with what she did with AYITL either unfortunately. I was SO HAPPY to have ASP back and then this is what we got.... sigh. The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel is fantastic though!

Too many complainers here. The 4 Eps were solid. Easily enjoyable. Tugs at the heart strings on occasion. The Stars Hallow Musical Scene was way too long, but other than that we got the majority of the Actors back together after 9 years?! That’s incredible and unheard of for any TV series to pull off.
They did the great job but I doubt that they’ll do any more.

I would have liked the revival more if there hadn’t been such obvious factual errors in the mythology of the show’s town. It killed the authenticity for me. They spent a whole segment of the revival having Taylor trying to convince everyone to help him get the town off separate septic systems and connected to the county’s pipes. This would be an okay if gross storyline if not for the fact that the town completely got off septic already. In season one, episode 16 “star-crossed lovers and other strangers” Dean is commenting on the grandiose decorating for the starlight festival. “Man, I thought Christmas was a big deal around here.” Rory responds, “Well, this is a town that likes celebrating. Last year we had a month-long carnival when we finally got off the septic system.”
