It is so great that Chet's music has touched so many lives and continues to encourage new players (and old) to pick up where he left off. I'm sure that wherever he his that he would be happy about all of this!
Thanks Joe to share with all CCAS guitar lovers these incredible moments, after what we live since some months. It's a pleasure to see you, Richard Smith, Tommy Emmanuel, John Knowles, and all great musicians. I hope once to participate to this convention. Gildas from Paris (France).
To all Chet Atkins fans and acoustic guitar lovers. I invite you to know the story of the Tabajaras Indian brothers who conquered the world and Chet soul with their sound and style. Chet and Nato Lima, the virtuoso of the duo, even recorded together with Chet playing a dynamic Del Vecchio guitar, a gift from Nato. Check out this unprecedented history of world instrumental music.
So good to see how much good music is coming from CAAS each year. Thanks for posting this, it's very inspiring! @13:43 Rollins Benson: awesome playing, but somebody give this kid a strap pleeeeze!
Greetings from Russia, Joe! Thank you for this episode and for your music. It was great to see my favourite musicians in one place. I hope you’ll be a C.G.P. soon, for me you are now.
You've done such a great job there Joe, it was just fantastic. You should do a video like this every year. Watching you win Australia's Got Talent, inspired me to go to Nashville 2 years later in 2010. I always wanted to watch Tommy play there as well. It was the only time I've ever been, and I actually said hello to you there and made my own little video. Every year since, I always watch videos of the convention and reminisce. Keep up the good work.
Well done, Joe. That's the best CAAS video I've seen. I was there in 2000 and there are still a lot of the same people. It was just like being there apart from the heartstopping breakfasts at the Sheraton. It was great to see so many young people caring the torch. I remember when you were one of them! Great to see footage of you playing as well. Thanks so much for posting this, man. I can see the amount of work that had to go into it. Great footage and great editing as well. Thanks!
I have been a fan of Chet since the 1960’s . While there are a handful of player who qualify to play on these stages in Nashville, I have a friend in Australia who can easily perform with Richard Smith or Tommy Emmanuel. His talent is spectacular and easily demonstrated to someone who, will take a few seconds to simply listen. What is the next step in getting him on stage?…
That was really cool. Thanks for taking the time to put this together and give us a glimpse into the convention. Next year I should make the drive from NC to attend.
Thanks Joe! Some great content and wonderful players. It's great that you're welcoming and respectful to all the folks you speak to - regardless of skill level. Class act. Cheers.
Thank you Joe! What a fantastic overview of the great music taking place there. Always good to see the familiar names,...but those young kids were just amazing and I'm sure we will be hearing more from them in the future. And Joe, if you ever have some time for a side career, you certainly have the talent and style to be a great music reporter/host of the scene..Great job!
@@Joe_Robinson still getting up in the mountains, running and riding. Did a backcountry Ascent a couple of weeks ago and headed for a peak near Aspen for my birthday. Then back to Aspen for a trail Half marathon in the fall. And picking a lot. Hope to see you soon.
JoesDigitalTV. this video reminds me of Bresh Digital TV. I hope Thom is doing well during this crazy corona period. Joe, thanks for this insight into fingerstyle paradise of inspiration. Dennis. The Netherlands.
Thanks for posting this, Joe. Footage from CAAS is always welcome. One day, if they invent strong enough drugs (or I can find a woman who terrifies me more than my wife, to hold my hand) I’ll get on a plane to attend the convention myself.
I will miss this stuff. After our very own communist take over. If you don't know what I am talking about WAKE UP and do your own research before it's too late.
CAAS is super amazing and I can't wait to return.
Merci, Joe ! 😘 from France.
I've never been to the US (I'm Aussie) so I really enjoyed seeing this tour. Thanks Joe!!
You make a great reporter also, Joe! CAAS was indeed small this year, but it was so good seeing everyone, and hearing all LIVE music again!
It is so great that Chet's music has touched so many lives and continues to encourage new players (and old) to pick up where he left off. I'm sure that wherever he his that he would be happy about all of this!
This what great musicians need to be doing! Meet, play. Just good fun, n' Joe deserves that!
Very glad to see inside and music in caas.. it seems to me I am present there in person & enjoying.. thanks to you.. 🎸🙂
Great to see two Aussies and an Aussie (and Kiwi) family performing!
I wish I can come to CAAS one day, for visiting the group of thumbpickers in the world...
我也想 博士😭
Same here. After many years of attending had to miss the last couple. Thanks for doing this! It kindled so many great memories.
Thank you, Joe! That was fun to see!! xx

They should've nominated Joe for C.G.P. ! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much for posting this. I'll be attending next year for sure! How could I have missed something so awesome?
Thanks
I hope to be there one day and enjoy the company of such great artists. Greetings from Spain, and again thanks for the video.
Loved the video. Thank you for sharing, thanks for everything.

Great tour around the convention Joe!
Thanks Rob!!
Wow so much inspiration here thanks for recording this Joe, that Jacob has some cool vibes will have to check him out
Awesome video Joe! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Nice to see John Knowles. Cool guy. Awesome teacher and player! Thanks for putting this video out. 🎸
I'd love to go there someday, thanks for recording this!
Thanks..
One reason it was so small was due to changing the amount of days to attend. I couldn't just go for couple days.
JoesDigitalTV. this video reminds me of Bresh Digital TV. I hope Thom is doing well during this crazy corona period. Joe, thanks for this insight into fingerstyle paradise of inspiration. Dennis. The Netherlands.
that's a nice place to be, if only i'm born in US i will be there almost every year
Thanks Joe. Great insight !!!!

😂😂😂
This video is one of the reasons why I wish I was born in America... 😍
Amazing music culture here..
I also want to go to the caas scene !!!If there is a chance in the future
Ok, I need to know who that is on the bass plz? Wow ! Worth the trip to Nashville just to see this guy...
Charlie Chadwick on the upright bass with the Nashville Hot Club!
Thanks for sharing this bit of guitar heaven. I love to see the young players. How is Thom Brush and Eddie Pennington?
Cheers Robert, I didn’t catch Thom or Eddie this year, there are some fantastic up and comers!
Loved the Video
I mean c'mon does it get any better ! Only if Chet was there ! Playing with Rollins very cool man ! 👍
Is the convention open to anyone, to be in the audience, or is it just a convention for professional/aspiring professionnal guitar players?
Anyone 🎸👍
Anyone can attend! There is a link in the video description to learn more about the convention
I guess we can add "documentary film maker" onto your resumé.
That was nice. Must have been a little bit like a family reunion for you.
It was!
Mark Thornton is playing The Claw at the perfect tempo. Too many guys ruin the song by playing it way too fast to show off their chops.
