@Conor Definitely wouldn't ruin the battery, even the cell in your phone can charge that quickly without really damaging it. Pininfarina has also spent too much time and money developing this car to NOT to put it into production, especially given they are taking orders.

Energy Density and Power Density. Safe to guess this particular case calls for power density. It's an important aspect in the engineering for electric cars. Just some extra details for peeps interested.

I like what Donut are doing to the world of Automotive Journalism. It is creating a blur that other channels don't seem to be able to do, and THIS piece is a prime example of how they do it, and it is a testament to how well they do it. The subs here aren't the only ones that are taking notice of Donut's ability to get it across in an entertaining, non-carsnob way. Donut Media is disrupting the AJ industry the way that Tesla has disrupted its industry. Keep up the quality, and keep up the disruption. Everyone wins with that formula. On a personal level, I guess I don't understand the world of car folks when there has to be such a clear delineation between so many segments/types of cars. And that's largely because not even 15 years ago manual was actually better performing and more fuel efficient, and obviously way more fun. These days cars with good autos blow manuals outta the water so they're even more fun and engaging. The tables turned completely, and so the market is adapting to that quickly. My problem with people complaining about "the death of manual" is the cars which have traditional 5-6 speed autos (or even 4 speed autos...) typically are the ones which are still offered in manual. Seriously, anyone tell me a single car that you simply CANNOT replace with another car that does not offer an manual option?

To cold start a GTX is a morning ritual, do not have a slot to put my phone to charge, do not have warm seats, and dont have a need to force feedback the wheel on my hands because it's heavy by itself. Besides everyone shitting on the looks of those tablet like panels, they are easier to operate while driving, since you can rest your fingers behind it and touch with your thumb. Without something like that you finger is going to swiwwle all over the screen.
One of the things I love about fast cars is the sound. The sound of a powerful v8 with a supercharger is just so badass. These electric things are like big powerwheels I just can't get into them I don't care if they go fast enough to time travel its just not the same
This is the thing the new generation will never understand... I am 16 and have grown with the best supercars and sports cars in my opinion.. The Murcielago, Carrera GT, Ford GT, 2007 Camaro, Corvette C6 ZR1, BMW M5, The Ferrari Enzo.... These and more are the cars i have grown up with and it seems sad to see these peak cars become history..... Lamborghini just discontinued their Aventador so it's really an end of an era.......

I like what Donut are doing to the world of Automotive Journalism. It is creating a blur that other channels don't seem to be able to do, and THIS piece is a prime example of how they do it, and it is a testament to how well they do it. The subs here aren't the only ones that are taking notice of Donut's ability to get it across in an entertaining, non-carsnob way. Donut Media is disrupting the AJ industry the way that Tesla has disrupted its industry. Keep up the quality, and keep up the disruption. Everyone wins with that formula.
On a personal level, I guess I don't understand the world of car folks when there has to be such a clear delineation between so many segments/types of cars. I like cars: electric, hybrid, gas, NA, turbo, supercharged, land yachts of days gone by, hot rods, imports, domestics, custom, factory-made, sedans, wagons, coupes, convertibles, pickups, (and to a MUCH, MUCH lesser extent SUV), beaters, etc. The older I get the more I tend to be able to see the good in cars that I used to think of as dogs, and Donut has had a great deal to do with that. This is Alex Choi an owner Supercars first Canyon Carving a Model 3 being very surprised. The architecture of BEV allows the heavy major component to be place in optimal positions then you have massive space for flexible packaging. That mean large suspension setup that eat into cabin space. Model 3 has Double Wishbone Rear Suspension as standard. Which is utterly overkill for the segment. Because of this crazy setup BEV like Model 3 have freaky precise and extreme Grip handling. That NEVER gets old as you keep pushing the limits until the tail safely controlled kicks out. @@manfromnantucket9544 it's really not though there will always be a market for manual cars and although the number of new manual cars is decreasing it will never reach zero because once it reaches a certain point companies can start actually using the manual gearbox as a selling point. Furthermore, it'll actually work.
@@seanboland4671 It's a tricky situation. Unfortunately the people who care about performance is increasing over the people who care about driving MANual. And that's largely because not even 15 years ago manual was actually better performing and more fuel efficient, and obviously way more fun. These days cars with good autos blow manuals outta the water so they're even more fun and engaging. The tables turned completely, and so the market is adapting to that quickly. My problem with people complaining about "the death of manual" is the cars which have traditional 5-6 speed autos (or even 4 speed autos...) typically are the ones which are still offered in manual.

To cold start a GTX is a morning ritual, do not have a slot to put my phone to charge, do not have warm seats, and dont have a need to force feedback the wheel on my hands because it's heavy by itself. The "greatest" is a point of view that differs from where your looking. Electric car is faster, stronger and all those things that we know. Using the same analogy, a soldier of our day is awesome and extremally efficient, but there's something special on a 16th century full armor samurai on the battlefield that technology will never surpass.
