No matter how much they change their style I will always love Sonata. Because their music always lift my spirits. I suffer from depression and anxiety and Sonata's music makes me feel better whenever I hear it. It's just beautiful and majestic. Yet again they do it - to the countless who are gunna say we miss the old sonata they need to realise that this is the direction these guys are going in with new band mates and still really producing fantastic music they are artists and will make what they want to express and Tony nails it every time. Thank you for more great music Sonata!
I got this album yesterday but haven't listened to it all the way through, but you can tell that enthusiasm they had on their first four albums has disappeared over the past few years... they've never released a bad album, but that energy just isnt thereanymore. Especially on the Ecliptica rerecording. I dont expect them to sound like they're in their 20s anymore but they sounded straight up bored with that one

Just scrolling through the comments in regards to production quality. Actually, this album did it right. Rather than compromising mix to get it "sounding" on "best buy" consumer level equipment and dirty loudness-war approved earbugs from apple store that will make Justin Bieber sounds great, listening to this album on a Hi Fi grade system tells the simple story of the producer "I am not making a compromise for masses". Play this through a decent system such as PS Audio BHK and give comments. While the producer decision comes as a surprise and will probably ruin sales of an album, at least they sent a message. The recording, mixing and mastering was done nothing but perfect for a highly revealing sound system. What a job! Perfect delivery of sound stage and dynamics in the mix. Finally getting close to "Symphony X" level of producing quality. It's actually old albums that suffers bad production - tons of songs I love, but it's cranky, sparky and can't be listened more then few times before your ears start to hurt mostly in mid-rage / vocals.
