Guys, for those who don't play Willow, it's possible to do this by placing a Star Caller near the grass as well as Willow's Fire Ball, but it's less efficient because there won't be the fire damage caused by Willow.
Fire damage is kept at 120 damage a second the more you use the more likely you will hit the cap how much damage fires do really depends on what type of fire it is the grass Tufts has used in the video or medium propagators so they have a higher damage output then say something like Boards or rope plus they also have a larger damage radius they share this only with charcoal but charcoal only has a 15-second burn. Willow also gets 50% more damage for her unique fire meaning that the damage cap increases to 180 per second
In addition how effectively something gets lit on fire is determined by their propagation as well something like rope which has a low propagation takes a small amount of heat to smolder and will also ignite very quickly once it starts smoldering whereas some stronger propagators take more heat and also longer to ignite meaning you most often won't be able to get a consistent damage output without using stuff that instantly ignites like Willows Ember if anything rope is probably the best option for setting this up if you're using a star collar because it will quickly ignite and also have a 30-second burn time
Thank you very much for the information and for explaining to everyone DVG, I wanted to pin the comment, but the TH-cam retrograde only leaves one, to be honest they should do the same as Instagram and allow more than one message to be pinned
Moleworm strats are as old as the boss itself. This is really easy for sure though. Old moleworm strategies required you to tank the boss at the very least
When they sleep, their hitbox is capable of trapping the Bee Queen, so it is important to do the fight during daylight hours, so that the moles are sleeping naturally. It is possible to do it in the afternoon or evening, but it will require better management regarding the time to put out the fire, the time to put the moles to sleep and the time that the Bee Queen will scream and make the bees come after you, because as you have to put the moles to sleep, you cannot stay away like in the video to avoid the bees.
30 grass tufts each time though is kinda pricey long run though I would stacks of charcoal work best only asking cause there only some many tuffs in a world and us console players don’t have the luxury of mods or adjusting or adding or having a creative mode lol Just asking if there’s a better outer source to be able to use for burning besides 30 grass tufts eachtime
You're not gonna lose them if you extinguish them every time. If you don't mind crafting more water balloons, you could probably use stacks of rope or some other long-burning item instead of tufts
Instead of having to cast flame every time, is it not better to cast fireball once on the spot where grass is and just extinguish when needed? Ember cost-wise it should be cheaper but that's just me.
I pinned a comment about this now so people also know that it is possible to do this with a starcaller, but good thing you remembered before Miles haha
technically cheaper yes, but using cast flame lights all of them on fire at once, meaning they all have to be extinguished at the same time so you don't lose on additional dps of a turf that took too long to lit on fire which is the case if you're using star callers or fireballs. as other non willow characters they don't really have a choice but to use the star method though so yeah

Good to know. My very first question was about to be "is it possible if you're not playing Willow?"
Thanks!
the fire damage caused by willow? what does that mean?
@tiqosc1809 fires caused by willow do more damage iirc
@@tiqosc1809 the fire damage buff Willow has when setting the boss on fire
Careful man, I'm convinced Klei watches your videos. Great stuff.

How did you even figure this out LMFAOOO
Moleworm strats are as old as the boss itself. This is really easy for sure though. Old moleworm strategies required you to tank the boss at the very least
It wasn't complicated, just a combination of theories and other strategies haha
Ok, why in god's name you need the moles for?
Edit: lol, they are blocking the queen somehow
When they sleep they gain a hitbox capable of preventing the bee queen from passing
Has Willow been weakened? Previously, moonfire dealt a total of 750, but now only 300
no, I think your game has a bug
Incoming patch that disables creature to creature collision after a few seconds of moving into each other?
I'm not aware of any
@@ameslarii no no, I mean they could make a patch that does this in the future
I wish they rework Bee Queen. the grumble bees are annoying.
I agree, this fight has so much potential to be better
wow
how interesting
Isnt this only possible due to controlled fire? How do they not all burn
When using ember you can light them all, the controlled fire won't change much because of that
What are the moles supposed to do?
Ok im not gonna question how the moles somehow make this work
Im just gonna question how klei managed to make moles the weirdest creature in the game.
lmao, they gave her the power of cuteness, when they sleep they are so cute that they stop the Bee Queen from passing by
Can you increase combustible materials to shorten the time?
In theory yes, but in an attempt to put more in, the Bq suffered so much damage that the counter didn't work properly, making it die more slowly.
what's the purpose of the moleworms?
When they sleep, their hitbox is capable of trapping the Bee Queen, so it is important to do the fight during daylight hours, so that the moles are sleeping naturally. works with any tuft, grass, twig and berries last 30s, but you can also use grass or boards
Can I put more grass to make more damage?
Yees
yeah but I recommend 30, with 40 due to the amount sometimes the fire damage doesn't work very well
First! Crazy cheese. Hw does this stilll work and not the boat cheese lol.
crazy is a cheese is watching another cheese haha
Instead of having to cast flame every time, is it not better to cast fireball once on the spot where grass is and just extinguish when needed?
Ember cost-wise it should be cheaper but that's just me.
yes, you are right, but making the Bq catch fire (itself) considerably increases the dps
I pinned a comment about this now so people also know that it is possible to do this with a starcaller, but good thing you remembered before Miles haha
@@ameslarii Yeah you're right about that!
Thank you for response
By the way I'm not Miles I don't mind :D
Wont the grass tufts take a bit before they actually burn again? Also they would be unsynced, in terms of burn timer
technically cheaper yes, but using cast flame lights all of them on fire at once, meaning they all have to be extinguished at the same time so you don't lose on additional dps of a turf that took too long to lit on fire which is the case if you're using star callers or fireballs.
as other non willow characters they don't really have a choice but to use the star method though so yeah
so this works because the beequeen gets stuck on the sleeping moles? Am i understanding this correclty?
yes, you understood perfectly 😁
