To answer your question about the manager's approval of players taking risks with crazy shots, it depends on the manager.. which ultimately boils down to regions/leagues. In Europe, managers tend to consider those taken opportunities as 'reckless' and will likely sub a player out after a couple of those, where as in one of the reasons I particularly enjoy the Mexican league is because they take crazy long shots and volleys often so its pretty often you see really cool goals
I still remember the commentary when Real Madrid came back against Manchester City on the Bernabeu on the UCL 2021/2022 "they pray for miracles, and miracles arrived", I don't think any other comentator actually described the situation so well on the spot, but that UCL season was absurd beyond belief

Yes, Drury is amazing but there are some arabic football commentators that are legendary. The way they speak about the match and players is poetic sometimes. I'm sure there are similar legendary commentator in every country but ofcourse the english speaking one is the most famous because of the language.

Context is very important, goal for all Africa, every major continent has organised a wc except Africa till then, roma needed 3 goals difference to qualify against Barcelona and so on the commentary gets better with context
You should look into the most dramatic finish to an English league season (1989). Final game of the season is 1st place (Liverpool) against 2nd place (Arsenal). Arsenal had to win by 2+ goals at Anfield and it's decided in the final minute. It is also the year of the Hillsborough disaster which is actually why this ended up as the final game of the season

That Arsenal - Leicester game where Giroud scored the winner ended 4 - 3 Arsenal. It was literally the opening game of the Premier League and Arsenal went ahead but Leicester fought back and and went ahead. Then Arsenal had to come from 2 - 3 down to win 4 - 3 in the last minute. Arsenal have done this to their fans quite a bit

There’s a whole compilation of United fans celebrating because they thought they had won. I know City won the league but it was late in the game and United fans melted down after they found out about the Aguero goal

@@lukessportsacademywas gonna say that. Title went down to last day. United beat Sunderland and at the time of that match finishing QPR were beating City 2-1 and knowing City needed to match United's result. The Agüero goal was in the last minute making the match City 3-2 QPR

I don’t know enough to feel like I can make that judgement. My favorite is Hudson and DRURY is also exciting. I don’t know many commentators in football though
