It’s also possible that some of the locals built the droid and made it look and sound strange so they could spread stories for some quick change, but it turned out more profitable than they thought so they keep repairing and replacing it to make more money and it became an urban legend
imagine scrapping a 3po unit, melting it down fully, fully recorded too, and your very next shift, you have to do it again, and it's screaming again too
Mos Eisley may be a hive of scum and villainy but no one has ever been murdered. Other than the Jawas and Owen and his wife and smii and all the tuskins anakin killed.
Mos Eisley and Mos Espa aren't the same place, just on the same planet, and none of the killings you listed happened in either, though we do see at least one killing in Mos Eisley.
Mos Espa is a larger city, and the planet is controlled by the hutts. People probably fear being tortured and killed by the hutts if they cause problems.
@@hajimenagumo2199 supposedly Romania was the safest place on the planet during Vlad Tepes Dracula's reign because everyone was too afraid of him to commit a crime.
You know what's crazy is it actually could make sense. In Mexico people refuse to call law enforcement because the precincts have been utterly corrupted by the cartel. If you call the cops in Mexico there is a high chance you will be retaliated against by the cartels after law enforcement notifies them. I could totally see the hutts running tatooine like the cartel run Mexico.
Honestly, Nobot returning from the salaac is hardly surprising. It's an inorganic droid. The sarlaac likely would've found it undigestable and thrown it back up.
There is also the fact that in Legends Tatooine is a former Rakatan colony world, one that their Empire then glassed after its servant races rebelled. They had a whole thing about creating darkside based technology, to the point that their entire civilization was wiped out once they were made unable to use the Force. What if NOBOT got into contact with some spooky device of theirs that may be buried out there in the sand, mind transfer, self-repair technology using force energy and other such things were within the Rakata's grasp, so maybe the droid was altered but lost much of its mind due to incompatibility issues?
This have been explained- the main bartender Wuher doesn't like droids in general because his family was killed by separatist battle droids during the clone wars. Fortunately, he himself was saved by jedi, so he respected them and had no problem with keeping Obi Wan's secret when he was questions after the incident in the cantina. That said, it is probably one droid he ALWAYS keeps out of the cantina In other parts of the universe, he gave a more simple and pragmatic reason "they don't drink and take up space"
Would you want to get near the charred robot with blaster fire marks covering it's body that's constantly screaming in the voice of a murder victim who has no evidence of ever existing? I don't think so
That last photo of the screenplay is so unsettling, the dark red eyes blank staring into the camera 😅 I guess fitting for it to be less than a week until Halloween!
Just a little theory or thought, What if the pregnant woman after she passed possessed the droid, hence why it always goes back to the city wanting help, idk
Soooooo started thinking maybe a smart woman slicer put a custom program on her droid and while knowing a gang she worked with wanted her dead or something like that, made it so if her droid ever witnessed her being killed it would record it and later haunt her neighboors with replays of her murder. Deadman switch or something. But then heard the weird stuff and wondered, was the owner force sensitive? did it become some sort of shatterpoint? maybe the owner was a also sith/inquisitor?
My guess would be the droid saw and witnessed the murder of the pregnant woman, possibly of grief and anger went to look for the perpetrator eventually finding said person who fired at it causing a glitch in the communicator module to the event of the murder and possibly damaging its' memory bank, causing the droid to go into loop, endlessly wandering back and forth across Tatooine roaming and playing the part that most affected the droid, the screams. Pretty tragic, but just a theory.
I really wish we got to see more Droids with seeming connections to the Force! I myself have always believed that C-3P0 ane R2-D2 were somehow utilized by the Force, as it would explain how they end up in the possession of the Rebellion, then ended up back with the Lars family who once owned C-3P0 due to inheriting him from Shimi allowing them to come into the possession of the Skywalker twins! I mean Anakin created C-3P0 from pieces of junk and he goes on to play a key role serving Padme, Luke, & Leia, before ultimately helping the Rebellion gain the favor of the Ewoks by having C-3P0 act as their golden deity, which seems to me like something the Force itself could have planned for given how Anakin's fall and becoming Vader put him in a position to assist in Order 66, wiping out the Jedi and later being redeemed by his son, with Anakin killing the Emperor before dying becoming the chosen one! I just like the idea that while Droids may not be able to tap into the Force or feel it beyond the effects of force based telekinesis, the Force can be with them! I mean it helps explain how C-3P0 & R2-D2 end up reuniting with old allies & members of the Lars/Skywalker family! I mean who's to say the Force didn't influence Anakin to construct C-3P0!
Awesome Holocron today. You and Star Wars Theory are the best Star Wars channels on TH-cam hands down. Love this story at first I thought it was going to be about Triple Zero. Awesome video as always. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing story. Have a great day my friend stay safe and blessed. May the force be with you always. This is a sad story I feel so bad for this poor droid.
How dare you no doing part 3 of "What if Qui-Gon Jinn trained Anakin ?" ? You did so well with the 2 first parts, you can't let us with such a cliffhanger.
The tale of Nobot reminds me of the tale of Chucky from "Child's Play". In particular: "Ade due Damballa, give me the power, I beg of you!..." It was through that voodoo chant, known as the Damballa Chant, that the serial killer Charles Lee Ray was able to transfer his soul from his dying body into one of the Good Guy Dolls; and then that particular doll named himself "Chucky". A mother bought this doll for her son, who was a FANANICAL Good Guy Doll fan, from some guy in a dark alley. Murder, madness, and mayhem then ensued. I am thinking that the Damballa Chant would also work on droids. More likely, however, some Sith used the Dark Side of the Force, not some chant, to transfer his consciousness into Nobot, in order to avoid his own death.
I love these videos! I'm just a bit more than a casual star wars fan, but i will always fight for the og trilogy that i love and grew up with! And i will always fight for the pt and hayden whose character and story i love! I have a star wars tattoo that is 30 years old! But these lore videos i know nothing about makes me love sw and the channel that much more!
Another Halloween holocron. Merchants on Tatooine need some way to have fun. Scary stories can be part of it. Makes sense what happened to Nobot. Pirates and all. Maybe dark side has part in it. I started typing as you started to say this😀I won't approach it. Thanks for this. May the Force be with you too😊
If I were born in the fictional universe of Star Wars, I would find a way to help Nobot to be able to uncover what happened to it and its master... like have it etch the clues out on some stone tablet or some other method of nonverbal communication (just depending on its motor functions, if any). Then the mystery can be solved soon after.
Big to assume that it's always the same robot. "Is this a scam?" "No! There is no evidence of it, but obviously the most likely explanation is PIRATES! Or, perhaps, failing that, MAGIC!" 😂
Okay, so my mind went immediately to the Auralnauts, and their re-imagining of 3PO as "Creepio" who was the ultimate villain and buzzkill of their hilarious dubs of the movies.
I personally love the idea it was pirates and just the sure darkness of their actions and maybe even the droids own dark thoughts drew forth the darkside/spirits. It's a cool concept that id love to see. Since we know the darkside at least can cling to the droids, we could see that play out. Imagine droids start rebelling and attracting the darkside, I think it might swarm droid kind in this case, imagine the Sith needing to join forces with the Jedi because the darkside decided logical droids with bodies that dont age and deteriorate like the Sith's bodies do
Yay October! 😊 This leaves me wondering if some of the expensive bounty hunters have bits where they say "won't take a contract for THAT!", and Nobot is on said lists? Obviously, Bova Fett is costly, but woyld he refuse the job? I'd we were in a a segment of time/space where Gorm the Dissolver was present, would he want the chance to collect parts of this droid, or would the risk to his already harvested bits be too great?

What if Nobot is from a different dimension? Like Bendu or Star Weirds? The reason it keeps returning is due to it being stuck in a sort of time loop that only resets upon the destruction of the droid.
I love how this droid was added to the The Skywalker Saga game.
That was the first time I heard of it. That moment was so uncharacteristically creepy for the game, loved it

He probably tried to shoot it over and over again. But gave up eventually.
@@aliastheabnormal So uncivilized.
The most unrealistic(in Star Wars) part about this is that there has apparently never been a murder or missing person's case in Mos Espa

A murder going unreported in Mos Espa, or Tatooine for that matter, isn’t terribly surprising tbh
Yeah it's a really sh**ty planet

Maybe that's why Droid's aren't allowed in Mos Eisley Cantina.. The owner is terrified of this one and now of any droid's

Sounds like something that would be perfect for a side quest in SWTOR.
"Did you hear that woman screaming?" . . . "Nobot, I did cause them!"
Remember Dr afra's effed-up evil droids? Triple zero and the r2 unit? You should do a video on them. They were badass
