We added the plates to our shop. They are in production and will ship in about a week. Laser cut, raw steel, $20. derangedoffroad.com/collections/honda-talon-parts-accessories/products/metal-honda-talon-plate
Any chance of getting you to add a small deranged logo for the small missing hardware higher up on the box by the lid I've already ordered the talon plate would order the small plate also
We're working on an option for that. Unfortunately our logo it pretty detailed so adding it to something that small will be very difficult. We'll likely have to just go with a plate and sticker setup
Your doing a great job..videos are very helpful as Iam most like looking to get a Talon this summer to go with my other Honda ATV. After watching some of your video I am leaning toward 4 seater...keep the videos comming..
Thanks for additional information. I originally watched Terry's video on the Mod and this one added some awesome extra information. I ordered one of the Plates, Thanks!
I drilled the box on the bottom to line up with 4 of the factory holes (1/4”) and drilled two larger holes towards the bottom back of the box to line up with the larger factory holes. Used fender washers and nylock nuts (all stainless) and that box doesn’t move. Still have access to air cleaner without moving the box. But what I wanna know is what soft cooler fits the best in there (largest). I seen that some people mention the Coleman 30 can from Amazon, but I’m looking for more options. I base camp, so the good stuff 🍺 will stay behind, so this will just be a secondary cooler for water and snacks, but I’d like to get one that fits as snug as possible.
I have all most the same set up but my box from fleet farm and used boat drain plugs to mount to the frame only down fall is to remove I have to empty the box to get to the boat plugs but its a 2 minute job with no outside strapps
@@markgrippi8048 I have even a better set up on my new talon, Used the 4 mounting bolts on the bed and used 3 1/2 " 6mm bolts driven in from the bottom side of the bed and used large thumb screws to mount the box and is very sturdy reply back to me with your email as i dont know how to post pictures on here
We bought the Talon plate and I thought there were links to the other supplies that were used on this build. However, I can’t find them now. Would you please add a list of the supplies you used?
Running the rear straps the other way around would make it way easier to get them extra tight. You can grab the strap and push it down with one hand, or grab the end with one hand and use the other to push down on the half loop created by holding the loose end.
Thanks for sharing. Definitely a worthy mod that I would add. One thought, I wonder if pop rivets would make for a cleaner install? Not sure but maybe something I would look into. Also I would be interested in a Talon plate as well.
Thanks for making the Talon logo plates! We purchased a different box and had a company match the Talon Orange for us. Couldn't be more pleased with the results. See the following for pictures and model numbers: hondasxs.com/threads/share-your-storage-options-talon.17180/page-9#post-726900

That would be fine let me know whenever you can get them and I'll order one
I just ordered your TALON plate.
What a great idea I’m putting it on my cooler on the back instead of a box.
Thanks for your purchase! Tag us on FB when you get it done. We’d love to see how it looks. -Joe
Love this box. I did the same one in my Talon.
Thanks
👍
This is awesome! This is what imma replicate. Just bought my talon plate off your website 😎. Can’t wait

Just bought a 2022. love your video but can not find part number for the box from tractor supply. Missed link, can you help me out?

I did much the same, but used turn buckles to connect the box to the D rings in the bed of the Talon. Really easy to keep it tight to the bed.
I used turn buckles also but had them come loose so I put a 1/4-20 wing nut and now it’s very secure absolutely no movement.
Good video, thank you for the information.

I did the same box. I added a foam pad underneath. it gives me some squish to allow the straps to hold better and not slide around in the least.
Just got the box picked up in Oregon.

Any pics of that setup? Getting to install and prefer not to use straps.

I want a Talon plate too !
Here you go! derangedoffroad.com/products/metal-honda-talon-plate?_pos=1&_sid=ad1dfc7cb&_ss=r
can you explain better how you bolt the top screws of the rubber latches onto the lid?
Just have to drill at an angle and use screws that are a little bit longer on the top to get far enough through to put a bolt on. -Joe
Thanks, this is the exact issue I'm running into in my garage right now. So far everything else is done but was confused on the top rubber latches
Nice
Where is the list of parts to buy terry

Everything is linked in the video description. You might need to click a “see more” to expand the description
I did mine with internal 3/8 inch eye bolts through crossmember. YT won’t let me post a pic.
Where do you put your cooler?
how did moving the rubber lid holdowns further out work out for you

If you sale it make sure it can be use for a cooler ! Seal it properly... make sure it does leak water
I made backer plates for the D-rings, won't pull thru.....
i dont
I want a plate too.
I'll get em added to the shop in the next week or so.
