I think to make going first a little easier, replace the Kaiju cards with Ojama trio and ojama duo, so you have monsters that you can easily kill off to activate your ship's effects.
That's six cards replaced, and there are nine Kaiju cards... so what's two more cards to cover up? EDIT: Corrected myself as I didn't realize this was completely different Gradius Deck from what I last observed. Six Kaiju monsters, 3 Spell Cards, which made 9 cards to replace.
I'm surprised you don't tech in an Inferno Reckless Summon and/or Foolish Burial. That could let you pitch T301 and setup a +3600 to Vic or British. A single Limiter or Honest in hand and BOOM! 🤣

Definitely! Personally gradius 5 is a masterpiece of a game that everyone should play... I wish I was better at shmups though, I need to play more often
Also a spell called called “leeching the light” helps a lot of you give your opponent a Thunder king kaiju monster and select that as a target for the same spell card
Love the deck idea, very simple and straightforward, do you plan to update it after the Desires hit? I'd love to see your take now that the banlist has dropped! I play something very similar, but I decided to only run the Thunder King & Jizukiru Kaijus. And instead of Fervor, I played Leeching The Light to take advantage of those light Kaijus. Also added some LIGHT Gadgets to give some extra bodies and plan B boardbuilding.

I've tried both of these variants, the gadgets are actually pretty damn good. They let you summon your other level 4's and become pretty big beaters themselves when they summon a Vic Viper T301, which, by the way, also buffs Jizukiru. They definitely help facilitate an OTK.

Awesome deck! I got to platinum 4 with this deck on Duel masters. I love shumps and Gradius so using it on Yugioh is great. Thanks for sharing.

When you’re a Duelist and a shmup fan. Its just amazing that Konami added their shmup game ships to yugioh.
