Bounty Daddy is a coined Lex phrase that I always find amusing. It's very fun to be one picking off short stacks, and being able to apply max pressure. Usually always freerolling the entire time.
Lex this scoop has been just mean to you. You have played excellent and the cards just dont go your way when it's the most vital. Great series either way. And thanks for all the education and entertainment it is greatly appreciated. Cheers mate
Hey lex just a curious question and no need to answer obviously. But that hand against cocojambo in the 3150ko why did you just snap call the shove with nines when the queen comes. Wouldn't that queen hit his range hard?
He check called 332 from the bb when Lex bet into multiple opponents, I don't believe the Q hits him hard. Sure he has some Qx but the spade opens up some draws that we are beating (and don't block), also a decent amount of Qx will just check call to protect his weak range in that spot. Also in this field, players are definitely good enough to bluff, and even jam worse for value/protection. Suppose vilain has any pocket pair like 44-88, they can't just fold everything otherwise they will be overfolding, and by just calling they are giving many hands in Lex's range a free chance to draw to a better hand, or have a card roll off that devalues their pocket pair and then might get bluffed off the hand.
@@tavis2205 i swear the hand i was talking about it was just 2 ppl I'll have to go back and look again. But I thought it was a button raise and bb call.
@@tavis2205 I agree with the second part of villain finding enough bluffs. Don't think villain is folding many AQ KQ type of hands to a single 1/3rd pot bet, or any queen with a backdoor flush draw. Even if Lex has the range advantage and he is betting into 2 opponents, he can easily have 45, 64, 65 type of hands and you're just simply getting a very good price. Even if Lex has a 2 or a low pocket pair you have calling odds and you can't just assume he has a 3. Lex probably has had this exact spot multiple times before and thats why he just calls instantly, knowing that he just cant get away from a hand as good as 9s. Not because it's such an amazing spot where he can never lose.
@@janpiet9921 maybe KQ/AQ gets called on the flop but bear in mind, Lex opened utg so won't have 64s, and likely won't have 45/65 full frequency, and betting into multiple players he will have a pretty strong range here in general. I highly doubt that KQo will get floated here out of position by vilain very often, I also highly doubt vilain will float with something like Q8s with a backdoor flush draw even to a small bet. Could be wrong on this though as I really don't study any tournament spots. But the fact lex is betting multiway here I think will mean vilain is continuing with a stronger range here than if it were multiway. Lex has to worry about an in position player on him and the big blinds who will have a clear advantage in the number of 3x they have. I definitely agree with you that Lex snapped because he knows these spots very well and knew already when betting the turn that he would be calling off, the point I was making was that I thought that the original commenter might be mistaken saying that the Q hits villain's range hard, and while he will have some Qx, I think his range will be very centered around stuff that hit the flop rather than Qx hands. There will also be stuff like Q2s in vilain's range that contain a queen, just not enough to warrant a fold on this relative brick. Just my 2 cents
Keep you chin up champ ! With that sound reasoning and heart for collecting chips and bounties, u'll soon be on a win again Lex ! Thanks for the entertainment 😊
