- Refused is one of my favorite bands with such an amazing and creative drummer. This album is full of inspiration, and it has influenced my drumming style a lot, (dare I say it!?), probably more than any other band. Ben Koller from Converge is definitely a huge influence as well.
But anyway, I tried learning this song like 5 years ago and I just could not figure it out, so the other day I decided to try it again and it only took me about 3 hours to get it this close!
What do you think?

Been playing this over and over again to understand how the heck is this song supposed to be counted
Oh, also this is probably the best drum cover of it on YT
Dude Nekrutman did this...
it's only the intro though?@@moeb1us
Everything is 4/4 if you try hard enough

@@moeb1us He was way off. Good energy but not hitting the notes correctly.
The best show I've ever witnessed was Refused and Raised Fist on the same day, will never forget that insanity.
That sounds awesome! I love Raised Fist too! They have a lot of great records but Dedication is one of my favorites for sure
Oof, that's a tough one. 👍
For me this is one of the best drums in any song ever made. The skill, the whole composition is beautiful.
Great job sir! Your drums sound awesome
Thank you!
Awesome job! One of the most underrated rock drummers ever. It must be exhausting!! Cheers from Chile!
Congratulations, you've completaed the game. ❤
You're killing it bro, nice cover
David Sandstrom is no joke. Well played! Covering a guy like that is no slouch.
YES.
Holly #@$¥¥ man!!!!! This is thee best. It is just theee best. Your snare sounds killer like exactly like the track !! Unreal!
Thanks! The drums on this record are the best!

Sick! Love this song
Amazing, i love so much refused !
Have not seen this kind of drumming since summer of 1998. WOW! GREAT!
Great cover and not an easy one ot do. Great subtle nuances that are hard to capture.
Insane!
Wow! That's was so good to watch! You just inspired me to give it a try.
Unbelievable chops dude you're a machine

Beast mode
Incredible performance.
very cool bro 🔥
greetings from Indonesia ✌🏻
Well done and good choice, pure jazzcore! David Sandström has a unique and classy style, I stole a lot of fills and pattenrs too, for example the beat on Protest Song '68 which I always play in the soundchecks.
That beat in protest song 68 is probably the coolest beat to sound check with haha definitely a classic, and thank you!
Nailed it dude!
Wow, fantastic cover! 👍🏻 Amazing drumming...
This is incredible man! You’re a killer drummer fr
👏 best rendition of the song I’ve heard kudos my man!

You should cover “beauty” by refused.
Damn dude! Nice one. I'm working on that song now. You killed it.
Nice Groove Man!!! Awesome!!!🤘
Hey this drum show really is pretty cool.
Well done!!!!!!
Tight asff
Fuck yes!!!! U rock
Siiiiiiiick
😲
Props
Super duper
yeahh
Fuck yeah man! Killed that shit
Nicely done! This album has been really influential to me as well as it inspired me to start recording. I’ve even tried pretty hard as a non-drummer (key word: “tried) to replicate Sandstrom’s style on this and Songs To Fan The Flames of Discontent within my own songs. If you have any advice other than flat out copying bits and pieces, I’d love to hear it!
Another thing I’ve struggled with is trying to get the snare sound off this album. Do you happen to know what kind of snare they used on this album? I’m pretty sure it was. DW collector’s kit, but that’s about as much as I know
Well this fuckin SLAPS doesn't it!
Fucking sick dude!!
great cover! one of my favorites band, check out our HC band from Playa del Carmen Mexico COBRA
This beat confuses my brain in a couple parts. In the beginning ,after the jazzy ride bell intro you hit the snare twice and then is it 3 tom hits and then a kick?
Can you make a tutorial? Or at least break down some of the parts and how you count them? Tak så mykket!
I made cover guitar deadly rhythm cause watch this video 😂
Hey just curious, what drum set do you use? I’m thinking about getting some new drums because mine don’t quite have the metal sound that i want.
Hey! This kit is an old Ludwig Maple from around the 70s-80s. What are some bands that have the sound of drums you want?
@@PrettyCoolDrumShow i just joined a new band called tetanus (feel free to check them out on Spotify/Apple Music/ Bandcamp). I’m replacing their old drummer, and my drums don’t quite have the same sound as their ep. I want to go for an early Ceremony or a trapped under ice sound. I’m playing a 1976 Ludwig kit at the moment, but I’ve found that it sounds too jazzy for the metal/punk genre.
@@scottiehopkins2991 I gotcha! I love the old Ludwig kits but yeah I can see that not being the best sound for heavy music, especially if they’re smaller sizes. If you wanted a newer kit, you can’t go wrong with Tama star classic, also the pearl export kits are pretty affordable and cool. I would suggest at least a 22” kick 12” tom and 16” floor. There’s a lot of other brands that probably would be good enough but I haven’t tried many of them
Absolutely fucking killed it. What heads are you using on the snare? Sounds amazing.
