    Hi I know you done this a while ago , but can you remember if there is a bearing on the drive shaft at the gearbox side of the shaft ? mine is giving a loud clunk when taking off from a stop , and I can move the shaft a little by hand up and down movement . EDIT , after thinking this over , it must be the Inner Universal Joint on the drive shaft that is clunking , there can't be a bearing floating in free air lol

    Best video I have seen. Clear voice and good camera angle. This is a 450 I believe, would it be same for a 451 model?

    • @supercar.central
      @supercar.central  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, yes this is a 450! It's quite similar on the 451 I think a few bolts are different sizes and there is a plastic cover on one of the bolts but the process is near enough the same hope this helps!

      @@supercar.central Thanks SC . I am having this job done tomorrow so your video is a really good to know what's involved. How long should the job take in your opinion ?

      @@supercar.central Just had the clutch fitted and the seals were leaking so it went back in . I received the car back again and there is transmission fluid all around the gearbox housing leaking . The shaft seals are doing their job though. Not sure why it is leaking oil around the housing .

    • @supercar.central
      @supercar.central  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the oil is at the bottom of the bellhousing and you are sure its transmission fluid then it could be the input shaft seal leaking on the gearbox!

  • @PopaAlexandru.

    I found out that it is practically not necessary to drain the gearbox, you can use a jack that tilts the gearbox so that the oil does not leak.

    Is there only one seal? or is there a seal on both sides of the transmission?

      There are 2 seals one on each side
      It is the same process to do the other seal
