Thanks for watching. The body panels are sheet aluminum (I have a seperate vid on that) During this video, I do have the hinged hood and battery upfront. As for the ESC, I wanted the front cab to remain as scale as poss
I dig it and kinda regret cutting mine off already. I will say though that when you heated and bent the plastic tube, it is stronger where you heated. I work in the auto body biz all my life and fixed many plastic bumpers by heating, forming and cooling (quenching). On my wraith my passenger (American side) side lower rear link became flexible and the rig was dog tracking. I took it to work and heated the link with my heat gun until it was rubber like, took it past straight and back to where I wanted then cooled it with a wet rag. It's stronger than it was. Maybe more brittle but I'm near stock motor wise and have since made links. Cool vid!
I did the exact same to mine except is the spray silver or is it steel plating? You should move your esc to passangr side and put you battery under front Hood. Also use zip ties and make your trunk and top require no screws and its a wicked mod...
It's part of the plastics, but have several different sets including the interior. Mine are custom aluminum panels I made
I cut the plastic tubing just with large wire cutters and then with an exacto to trim it. The tubing I used a copper tubing cutter
Gotcha! Yeah, but was going for more of a scale look, besides being one of the first to actually put how to do it on YT
