Old supermoto trick....we do this all the time never had any failures that I know of....can I suggest that you run gorilla tape round rim also as an added security...make sure to overlap tape past air hole in the direction of wheel travel ..good luck Del.

Would the bead hold air without leaking… make good seal?? Didn’t think bout it till now. Tubeless rims has bead lock as I understand it. Tube rims?? Hold long enough??

Take a look at the video at 8:55 buddy, there you can see the exact same bead ridge as a cast tubeless rim, and in the next video you'll see they 'pop' as the tyres spring over the bead ridge and seat.. Im also using a bead sealing paste on these wheels for a complete seal. !

I am looking for a stainless front wheel with stainless spokes for a 21” front wheel for a 2005 XL 883C. Same stock dimensions. No luck in my searches. Interesting video I have an Enfield Interceptor and going tubeless is something I have considered for the same ease of repair . Hi Del, quick question as I am going to copy this method when I convert my Desert Sled to tubeless . . . is it OK to have a tyre fitted by a shop with a tyre machine? Or would that upset the Tiger Seal? Are you limited to spooning on the tyres once you've sealed the rim as you demonstrate?

Very interesting idea - containing added mass & two opposing forces. If my boss said 'invent it', I'd want at least two circumferal wraps of 'fiberglass mesh' tape embedded between first & final layers of goo (spoke access gap between tapes) this would strengthen the new mass against centrifugal effect at speed.
As is, you have cured-goo sticktion & increased air pressure to fight this, should some dreadfully naughty cleaning fluid be jet blasted past the spoke seats to chemically munch away at the goo's residual stickosity, this may allow the 'retaining' air pressure to creep both sides & - whammo! - Centrifugality gets all the tea & medals.
I'm sure the designers will have seen this too . . . they probably had some quality cake on the job. Have a nice w/e : )xx

Excellent vid Del...lots of people get hung up and are totally anti sealing spoked wheels, I don't have a problem with it. The stainless steel rims and spokes are awesome, I would have liked to see the hubs polished but ally oxidises quickly and clear coating can be hit and miss...ever thought about anodizing? All in all wheels look great though. 👍

I wanted stainless hubs available from Germany, but sadly they weren't in the budget mate... happy with how they are!
