Just did this hike (minus the loop around Bear Lake). Loved it! It was incredibly beautiful. Definitely would suggest going in the morning if possible. You give lots of great tips.
Just an fyi for people reading, if you are planning far enough in advance, you can book your time slot on the 1st of the previous month at 10 am mountain time. So if you wanted to go on July 10, you would log in on June 1.
Your RMNP videos and Boulder videos are SO helpful!
Great video! Leaving today for the west, can’t wait to see this in person!
Great clear video keep up your good work😊

Thanks, so much good info here. I wasn’t aware that you had to reserve the day before. I thought you could do that weeks ahead of time

Thank you for all the tips!! this was very informative! I'm planning a solo trip here for the end of august except I'll be catching the shuttles as I don't want to pay for a car lol...I was thinking of doing this particular trail myself and booking a guided tour for the rest of the park...how did you find hiking solo? would you say it's safe? any bears?
You will have a great time, it’s an incredible place to visit. Thanks for watching, and please subscribe to the channel
What a superb recap of the 4-lake hike. Day 1 of our RMNP adventure is 2 weeks from today; My partner will be 8 weeks post-knee replacement. She's been a trooper so we'll be limiting our hiking to minimal elevation change. Her rehab has been diligent, the Doc and PT personnel gave her A+....but descending is the last function to recover. Any recommendations beside Bear Lake?
Thanks for watching, and I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
Sprague Lake. It’s right off Bear Lake road.
Planning a trip in 2 weeks and your video might have been the most informative and straight to the point video I've watched yet. Thank you! One question I had was: where do you pay this $25/35 fee, is it at the entrance to the national park or a visitor center or elsewhere?
Duffy is at the entrance of the park. Have a wonderful time. Thank you for watching the video
Do you get the shuttle to bear lake in Estes park or at a parking lot in RMNP.
You can get the shuttle in the parking lot. Thanks for watching the video
Is there a certain entrance we need to take for the 4 lakes hike?
Thank you so much for watching this video. I took the entrance closest to the hike parking lots.
@@TheAbundantTraveler what time did you get there? Lots of traffic? Would you recommend we go early ?
@@TheAbundantTraveler we just did the hike last week. It was still frozen but so beautiful!!
