      I really cannot relate to any of the women saying a mommy makeover is excruciating. Yes your back hurts a little. Coughing is scary in the beginning. However walking around and managing pain was very easy for me. I didn't need lipo though and I had a drainless TT. I would say it was more of a discomfort than pain. The itching began around day 5 and I never got constipated either but I stayed away from morphine and strong pain killers. I showered after day 2. I also travelled abroad and alone for my surgeries so I didn't have any help once I was discharged from the clinic. I was expecting to have an awful time but not once did I regret having surgery. Also I didn't have crazy swelling. I am having a very easy recovery. I didn't need a walker either. The only thing I don't like is having to sleep on my back. I was so scared about surgery watching videos like this and it was nowhere near as bad as so many women have made it out to be. Also beware of yeast infections due to anti biotics which was for me the most annoying part of my recovery. MLD is very important and I massage myself daily. I'm so glad I have had an easier recovery than the videos I watched like this one.

    If anyone is thinking of getting a tummy tuck please try to get a lift chair to rent and a walker. They are a extremely helpful for an easier recovery.

    Hi Kelsi, thanks for sharing your journey with us. It was very helpful. Few questions for you: How long did your dr. keep your drainage in? Were you able to wear spanks/compression garment within 3 days of surgery or did you have to wait until all the drainages came off? Its been 7 days since my surgery and the binder is very uncomfortable and I'm so ready to wear the spanks/compression garment. Thanks again sweety for your openess and honesty.

    Hi! I just came across your video... it seems it was a while back. I’m on Day 2 of my Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift.... and I am in some serious pain! It’s nice to know it will get better! I had almost 10lbs removed.. It was a shock even to the Surgeon! Need tips on bathing and how did you use spanks over your incisions... I need some relief! I also have two drains and a blood blister on the side of my boob... any advice regarding that?

    Thank you for sharing your honest journey, so many people start videoing after they are through it, so we really miss how much it takes out of you. I went backwards with your videos, but you did a good job keeping it real. I am 3 weeks away from mine, very nervous, excited and a little scared but I have wanted this for 36 years...I believe I waited long enough. If there is a list of stuff you had that made things easier for you would you post it? I can relate to the ugly duck syndrome, I was overweight and teased horribly (Family) & School peers, wasn't fun. I am a Grammy of a 10 year old girl, I want to feel comfortable taking pictures with her, and honestly, its for me first, I have spent decades dealing with my stomach issues (Muscles were cut when I was in my 20's never repaired, loose skin, stretchmarks, etc.. ) I am having a reduction as well, no implants as of now I am 53 I feel a reduction and a lift would be better suited. I absolutely see your beauty, my daughter calls me pretty lady & it embarrasses me because she's my daughter, sure she'd say that, but I feel people look at me harder because of her comment..Who knows. Over the years I have learned that true beauty is generated from the inside, do we want to look and feel our best? My answer is yes, I feel I am a great human, giving, loving, strong when needed, sassy when called on, but I would like my outside to semi match how I feel, I understand I am over 50, I do not expect to look 25. Thanks again for your time covering this delicate matter.

    • @KelsiVinson

      Danielle Phillips there are no rules to what you can and can't. But def get yourself some protein shakes and some foods for the first few days for sure. Stay away from the fried foods. Stick to protein, veggies, and complex carbs to prevent weight gain due to inactivity

      Umm....ok...well congratulations. Not sure what method was different as well from mine. My pain was awful and majority of the women who contact me also have the same pain. It’s rare that they don’t. I see a lot that didn’t have muscle repair do a little better. But...that wasn’t my case. This story was MY experience, Not yours, last I checked. I documented what “I” went through and felt. I ate the same day as well and was able to walk. It just hurt and I was full faster than usual due to the swelling. My TT was also almost 4 years ago...I’m sure a lot has changed in methods since then. Drainless TT was barely heard of when I had mine and now they are everywhere .....

    • @KelsiVinson
      @KelsiVinson  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      angie moreland everyone gets them! You have to have them. The body creates so much fluid after this from swelling and healing. If not you'll get a hematoma

      @Brandon101933 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      need to ask you,i had a upper and lower tummy tuck done on thursday,i got 3 drains but that binder is so tight it hurts real bad and it shows deep imprints on skin when i take it off,did you have same problems? is that normal?

    • @KelsiVinson
      @KelsiVinson  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      angie moreland I did have that problem and I did loosen the binder to make it manageable. As you start to feel a little better you can tighten. They put it on you tight and then you swell more after surgery so that's why it hurys

    Hey! I just got my tummy tuck and liposuction two days ago and can sooooo relate to everything in this video (coughing has been a nightmare, back pain is excruciating, etc.) How long until you were able to shower or remove your faja/garments?

      Meredith Robinson-Suarez I Was not able to shower until my drains are out which for 17 days. I changed my garments daily whenever I had to clean my incision. I had to start taking MiraLAX on day three because I was miserable. And it still did not work great. Until you win your self from pain pills it is going to be difficult

      @KelsiVinson  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes and no... Since I had already had breast aug years ago, switching out the implants during this procedure did not hurt that much. I really just felt sore like I had a slightly pulled muscle or the day after a really hard chest workout day.. however, when I had breast aug originally years ago, I was in a good amount of pain for a couple days but that was it. This tummy tuck however, was by far the worse all on it own.

I found this very relateable as I've just had a tummy tuck and it's reassuring to know hopefully in time it will get better.. I can easily go toilet have been doing so from day one, but every day I feel like ten percent better.. I want to ask you what if anything did you use on you're scar please? I'm not sure what is the best way to go about it, i want scar as less visible as possible as the main reason for tummy tuck was to look good, any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you 😘
