    Ok hey guys. I totaly forgot to say this part of my script on 3rd party messaging services so here it is. Sorry again: Another way you can work around it is by looking at India. A lot of people in India own iPhones but literally none of them use iMessage. They pretty much all use a third party messaging service. WhatsApp. Now if you're a younger person in the US, it's likely you use Instagram messages or Snapchat to communicate with a lot of your friends. And This is a step in the right direction. No yes. Metta has had some privacy concerns in the past, but in general, texting on these third party softwares is safer than just texting using iMessage.

      Why should people trust end to end encryption? Unless you verify it is actually encrypted every time you send a message, how would you know if google turned it off or installed a back door? It would be much safer to encrypt your messages yourself, and send them over sms.

      @@owencooktech It would still be all to easy for google to get around that encryption, they could easily remove it from the app but pretend it is still there, and you wouldn't notice the difference.

      Literally 7% of Indians have iphones. If you have an iPhone here, you're considered either old or filthy rich or plain dumb. It's not economically wise to get an iPhone because they are ridiculously expensive. Can't believe you included Indians in this...

    There’s so much misinformation in this video, Apple doesn’t use MMS to message from my iPhone to iPhone. The iMessage protocol is proprietary and just ask if not more secure, and also encrypted.
    It only defaults to MMS and SMS messaging android phones up until late 2024 where it will use RCS.

    • @owencooktech
      @owencooktech  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Lol iMessage is modified MMS. There's no encryption just proprietary tech that makes it so Android can't use it

    • @LostinaMemory
      @LostinaMemory 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@owencooktechActually it is end to end encrypted between apple devices! Think of it like Facebook Messenger but more secure as it sends messages, media, files, etc through the internet using end to end encryption except even more secure!
      It’s only not encrypted when messaging non iPhone devices at which point it does switch to MMS up until they release RCS!
      Putting it simply iMessage is a proprietary instant messaging service, very different from MMS.
      I tell ya as a former apple tech! 😃

    Green bubbles aren't necessarily only for Android users. Blue bubbles are for any Apple Messages app conversations where ALL of the participants are using the iMessage protocol. I have an iPhone, but if I disable iMessage, and send a message to another iPhone user, my bubble will be green. The blue/green is just a representation of whether the person(s) with whom you are messaging are using iMessage or MMS/SMS. If I sent a text to someone using a flip phone (yes, there are some people still using them), and they reply, the response will appear in a green bubble. Regardless, Apple switching to RCS is a big step in the right direction.

    • @tommydiquasi1424

      @@owencooktechthat is incorrect. MMS and SMS are both passed end-to-end. iMessage is based on the same framework that WhatsApp and Signal use, where the message encrypts, passes through an Apple server relay before going to the recipient, then decrypts for the recipient device. iMessage is not based on standard text or multimedia message protocol. MMS, for instance, cannot be encrypted. I know this because I have to write legal subpoenas to obtain phone and text records; they have to be written VERY specific, and iMessage content cannot be obtained because of the encryption.

    • @spede1
      @spede1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      iMessage isnt based on MMS, you can also turn off MMS on the iPhone. Blue/Green bubbles represent more than just the color. The blue bubbles show that the message is encrypted via iMessage, green bubbles means that it is not encrypted through MMS/SMS
