So to calculate the 45 deg. bend length we multiply the 90 deg. bend length by 0.5 x 785 mm= 392.5 mm . Using length of arc gives 0.01745 x Deg. x Rad = 0.01745 x 90 x 500 = 785.25 mm. for the 90 deg. bend: rounding to 785 mm. Excellent vid with exceptional clarity and no stupid music. Well done !!!
@@technicalstudies. I do A test peace at 90 to see . Say it’s a 100 mm clr that’s a diameter of 200 x pie =628.3 divided by 4 to give you the length in the bend = 157 . Gives 1.8 mm that how much you need per degrees. It’s hard to explain in written form . But it’s actually very simple. Then you just offset it for your takeoff.
so if i'd like to make 2 each 90degree bend on the opposite end of a tube, i need to add 2x162mm? how to calculate, say, to have 2 90degree bends on the opposite end of a pipe, _i mean to aim like ︹ shape_, with 50mm straight at the start and end of the pipe, and end up with 1050mm distance between each ends, with 45mm as the radius? how many mm length of a straight pipe to get that goal? please help cos math is never my forte 🙏🏻 thanx in advance ☺️
@@kaotixorder you want 50mm after the bend finishes . The Arc length of 45 mm rad at 90°. Is 90÷360 . That by 2 then x that answer by pi then x that by 45 .
We use the formula for the length of a sector in degrees then...thanks for cutting the fluff...how much extra do we add is there a formula for that too?
3.14 is approximately pi sort of a magic number for circles. 360 is the total number of degrees in a circle, so dividing by 360 gives you the length per degree, and then multiplying by the number of degrees (90 or 45 in this case) gives you the total length.

Отличное видео и практический урок!
Thanks Bro.
Se agradece la Cátedra.
Lo saludo con afecto y con respeto.
Another way to do this is Radius x 2 x 3.14 / 4 (90deg) R x 2 x 3.14 / 8 (45deg)
Awesome
My job was to layout and bend tubes for US aircraft carriers.
Thank you.
thank you
Thank you, bro.
Is that a typo on the first slide where it says 500mm, shouldn’t it be 570mm, same as radius? Thanks
How to calculate punch size? Which length do we need to consider for that?
When bending tube it can shrink or stretch on that centreline. That needs to be taken into account for greater accuracy
You are right Bro, that is why we need to give extra length

Hi sir
How calculate any bend outer radius and center radius please explain me

50 to 100 mm depending the diameter of the pipe.
nice
Thank you bro
Thanks
Thank you Bro.
how can outer radius be greater than pipe diameter?
Your question is not clear Bro.
Can you Plase explain 3.14 and 360 .?
3.14 is approximately pi sort of a magic number for circles.
360 is the total number of degrees in a circle, so dividing by 360 gives you the length per degree, and then multiplying by the number of degrees (90 or 45 in this case) gives you the total length.
i have a doubt in the end of video you said you need to add extra lenght? what does it mean? are not we doing this to calculate the extra lenght?
Bro, please watch the video carefully, you will get the answer.

So if inner radius is given add half the material thickness to the radius?
Yes Bro.
Mead diameter x π x angle of return ÷ 360 = Arc length
(mean diameter x pi /360) x wanted degree.
