Coming from somebody who literally just got two teeth pulled out 2 hours ago, it doesn’t hurt at all, you can just feel the pressure. The only parts that should hurt is when their doing the needle to numb you.
depends on the dentist 2ish yrs ago i had all 4 wisdom teeth out and the 4 teeth they were pushed into. got a needle in the nerve in the back corners of mouth felt nothing, few hours ago had to get another pulled and they just tried lidocain at the tooth itself .. didnt work i felt so much pain i was literally shaking. it was one of the worst things ive ever experienced.
I need my tooth number 14 molar top left extracted, scared the shots might make me nervous or go into cardiac arrest some other weird feelings, did you feel any of this? thanks
I got my wisdom tooth removed.. the pain was unreal.. I grabbed the dentist out of reaction to the pain when he was trying to remove it. I had no nitrous or anything, just local numbing. Never again..
I hate pain and let my dentist know which i think is important because when my wisdom tooth was pulled i felt no pain at all. I just felt a tugging sensation but no pain. On the other hand, my husband went to a different dentist for an extraction and did experience pain. I think the difference is i let it known i wanted no pain. And i had a young male doctor who had the strength to pull it out easily. A woman or old man won’t have the same strength as a young, fit man. I would not want a woman pulling my tooth because you need strength. Mine can out quickly. I have heard of doctors breaking the teeth to take it out in parts or cutting the gum so they can pull it out better. But if you have a strong man, you will not need that. He will get a firm grip and yank it right out. He gave me pain relievers after the procedure, but I didn’t need them. I was so happy with the experience. I was scared going in and relieved and happy going out. Again, ask for sufficient pain relief and only let a strong male dentist do the pulling.
I got my lower jaw 2nd molar surgically extracted, and it was painful. I am not sure if the pain was from the tooth itself or due to the pressure of pulling it. Overall, I rather go through this pain for a few minutes instead of being stressed about it for years.

Yup, same here. I've had a total of 4 teeth pulled, last two were lower jaw 2nd molars due to failed root canals. Only the last one was painful probably due to an active infection which can diminish local anesthesia effectiveness.
I removed two of my molar tooth and I gotta admit, it's painful as heck, the dentist gave me three injections of anesthetic, then she pulled out the pliers and then did everything from breaking, pry, to twisting until the tooth gave up and obediently left my mouth, on that day, I felt like I just got punched in the lower jaw
@@numerouno3521 Nope, my heart rate was normal, I don't have any symptoms from your comment. That shot was strong, I can barely feel anything even if there's a huge needle stuck deeply into my teeth.
Got my molar surgically extracted today, (Due to a failed root canal 4 years ago) and I must say 10 hours after, the surgery itself, bleeding has slowed a bit although it is still there, the pain is a 6.5-7/10 more so my gums feel cut which is leading to the type of naggy/irritating pain. I would say my pain reached its max around 1-3 hour post the removal. Of a 7.5.
How are you doing now? I just had top left molar surgically removed yesterday and it was pretty horrific tbh. I'm still in pain, the inside of my mouth feels so tender and sore. Hope you're all healed up now.

I don't know why all these on line dentists say extraction isnt painful. Had a molar tooth pulled out and it was painful as hell. Had to take two shots to deaden the area. Perhaps some teeth are more firmly entrenched than others. Please stop telling everyone its a painless process. It definitely wasn't for me.
Upper teeth removal will always be more painful. I needed 2 shots for an upper molar removal and it was very pinchy & a deep rooted canal. It hurt, i didnt even hear or feel the tooth being taken out...i was just relieved that it was over. The pulling/ pinching sensation makes you want to faint.
is it very painful to get an extraction if your tooth is infected? I've been on antibiotics for my infection for tooth 31 but i won't have a chance to take the full course by the time of the extraction - 6 days versus 10. I heard it's super painful when the tooth is infected

But the only reason it hurt so bad is because of the state I let my teeth go in, so basically the worse the tooth the more worse the pain you'll be going through when you finally deal with the tooth. I researched that some people have issues with drugs for either surgery or nerve blocking. I don’t know the science behind it but it’s not in your head. My dentist was trying to tell me that because I was scared the drugs were not reacting as it should. Which was untruthful because I was not afraid the first time 😂 and I felt pain. Also everyone’s nerve may not be in the place that it should.
I have a big cavity in my 1st molar and I tried to attend for a root canal and the insurance don’t pay for it and I can’t afford for root canal and I wouldn’t mind extraction for a dental implant but I also can’t afford a dental implant.😞I wish I would’ve took my teeth serious.. this is all lessons.. idk what to do now im so fucked in every way possible. The chances of death are extremely slim. Assessment and consideration must be made for nerves prior to removal and only a trained dental professional should ever remove them. Most wisdom teeth can be removed by dentists, but some more complicated extractions will be undertaken by an oral surgeon. There is a risk of nerve damage but it isn't all that common if the appropriate steps are taken before any removal is conducted.

(Its 2:38 pm) It didnt even take 5min to get it out. (No pain either I promise) after some hours I’m feeling like on 1-10 id say 2-3 if that. (Im used to pain so I’m not sure how others would fare off) I guess, make sure you go to a good dentist! The numbing was so good that after hours when i was at home the numbing is what irritated me (some pain) from the numbing that was worse then the extraction lol

I had #15 extracted with grafting two hours ago. Excruciating pain right now. Absolutely insane pain.

How long did the pain last after extraction?
@@Milim693 The pain was basically during the extraction. Afterwards was no problem at all. Just mild pain for some days.

It shouldn't be as the area around the tooth will be numbed to prevent and limit pain of the extraction.

There shouldn't be pain. You will be numbed up to avoid or limit discomfort.

Won't someone die if Wisdom Tooth Extraction isn't done properly by an Oral Surgeon? If the Oral Surgeon causes nerve damage.
