I once set an "ordinary " spring type mouse trap in my greenhouse and the following morning the trap had sprung and all there was for my trouble was a mouse's tail! "Poor little sod" I thought "I will never see him again, he won't dare come near my greenhouse again having had his tail chopped off!" I set the trap again anyway and the following morning it caught and killed a mouse....... a mouse that didn't have a tail!"

The mouse is all the way inside, it's why the trigger is in the center of a wide box, and the paddle is almost as wide.

With 10+ years and multiple videos per week of trapping mice, rats, moles, voles, and gophers, Shawn must have to drive quite a distance to keep coming up with new "volunteers" to demonstrate his traps. The smart ones saw where this is headed, understand there is safety in numbers, and settled on Australia to flee to to set up their defensive positions. They picked Australia because it is surrounded by ocean to keep Shawn at bay. So far they are doing a fine job of turning it into a human-uninhabitable nature preserve at the expense of the native English species.

I dug one of these out of the ground by the railroad tracks once. Despite being completely filled with dirt, with a little cleaning, disassembly, lubrication, and reassembly, it worked like a charm. It's the best mouse trap I have ever used and probably ever will use, and will likely last for at least 1000 more years if treated right.

The cat gets the mouse of course.

A couple years back I put out snapping mouse traps. I was in another room and heard one go off. I saw the trap had tripped, but no mouse. After looking around for a while, i found the mouse walking around all willy-nilly. The trap had snapped on its head, but it managed to escape. The mouse had its head split in half and was still walking around with its eyes bulging. I found it pretty sad..
On the other hand, i like the mouse trap videos.. and hate the youtube censoring crap. Why the hell cant I watch pests being killed? Not "advertiser friendly"? I hate that ads can be as bad as they want to be, and youtube doesnt care.

If the knob is a little soft does that mean I can't use the trap anymore? Mine from last year caught a total of around 25. Last mouses tail was caught in the planes levers and I had to shake the machine a little and trigger the trap like if there was another mouse entering the trap to release that mouse. Another trap that accompanies this trap lil' Pete caught others total of three. I may have to get another one ketch all to replace the one I have. I may have overused the present one.

the drowning attachment could be attached to a pvc pipe leading to a second one going to a snake terrarium

Sweet. Works like a drum magazine for a gun.

When you showed The mouse by the jar, my friend commentated in a really dopey voice. ‘ what’s that I want in there, WEEEEEE! Oh cool a ladder. Oof! YAY IM IN!’

So I believe that it's a little violent for house pets but for barn and little pains it's great. (Without the drowning mechanism)

Their words hold truth. That trap really is the best in the world, no bait, no dead mouse mess and reusable for days on end. Just one question, *Would the spring be needing replacement after 20 uses?*

You could have the slinky attachment dump into a snake terrarium. Then put a motor on the spring and you'll never have to wind it.

We had one 50 years ago on our farm, it would pack the mice in the trap, worked great.

I have one. It works great, but it can crush a mouse on occasion, jamming the mechanism. I suggest using a little peanut butter as bait.

I didn't see any mention of bait. What draws them into the trap?

What do you call a jar full of drowned mice?

Serious question: what to do with the drowned mice? Do you have to bury them or just throw them in the garbage?
