I remember ditching school at least twice a week to go jam with my buddy who was home schooled or to go skate too much high was mayb not the best choice hahaha

4th reich Jarl I feel like it’s just his first album that that’s the case. His newer stuff from like 2012 on has a lot more classic rock styled stuff. Which is all fine and dandy but I prefer garage and punk and shit so I just like the early stuff more.
@@jay_thedog_man5169 People like to complain that Ty tries too hard to sound like Marc Bolan or John Lennon these days. There's nothing wrong with that since I love both of those guy's music. Like you I prefer garage punk and surf.
Sean Lynch I like them too but I don’t really go out of my way to listen to them. Ty’s current stuff isn’t bad but I don’t care to listen to classic rock sorta stuff. It’s the same reason I don’t listen all of the growlers later albums.

how does one get a guitar sound as the one at 29:00? never heard this kind of fuzzy but still cleanish sound, love it - whole album is amazing, thanks for the upload
maybe an acoustic guitar through a (slightly octave) fuzzpedal hot in to an tubeamp and maybe some compression?
It just sounds compressed to hell with some saturation
different layer of guitar : one with tue fuzz and octave , and an acoustic one a bit under the fuzzy one to get that clean tone imho
Lots of gain recording to tape; causes saturation and compression. Sounds like an acoustic being recorded with the gain all the way up basically.

Underground psychedelic garage rock? Ty Segall is just Ty Segall tho. Hard to put the man in a box because really he's all over the place. Once one starts to explore his discography, it becomes more and more apparent that he's just on another planet and we're lucky enough to be invited to visit from time to time.
