I saw this bracket in another video but it was not a very good one so I was not sure how it installed. Yours is crystal clear. Thank you.
Thank you Robert! This bracket is a very useful when it comes to installing a dishwasher with granite countertops.
Wow! The video cuts off during the most important part... The installation
Hello, thanks for watching. This video isn’t intended to show you how to secure a dishwasher. That will vary model to model. This video is primarily providing an alternate option for securing a dishwasher under these circumstances.
Because the rest will be the same as to how to mount your dishwasher as if you have a laminate countertop, the instructions without exception will be in your dish washer manual.
Please show how the standard DW brackets attach to the granite bracket. In other words, finish the install
This particular video is just to provide an alternate option for mounting any dishwasher not a specific one. Different brands are mounted differently. I have other videos showing how to install different dishwashers and they include that step. Thanks for watching!
I was thinking the exact same thing. It would have been great to see the complete installation.
Finish the installation.
The dishwashers come with clips (little angle brackets) that snap into the dishwasher, then you just screw it to the bracket that he just installed. It’s different for every model and in the manual. He’s just showing you how to install this bracket so your cabinets/top can accept the dishwasher.
My friend , all good bracket info . But show me how to attach the washer ?? That's where the challenge is !!!
Great video! Good clear instructions. I do have a question. I watched one video where they put silicone on top of the bracket before installing it under the cabinet . Should I use silicone as part of the installation process?
Sorry for dumb question. I have that bracket. When you put the last 2 screws in. How to you access it. It’s under the granite. Sorry. This might seem easy. Struggling a bit.
Fantastic Video. Well Done! Now I Can Proceed With The Installation.
Awesome! You are welcome! Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks for clear instructions. I will try installing when it comes in from Amazon.
Awesome! Hopefully everything goes smooth! If not don't hesitate to reach out
How do you fasten the last two screws? They look too short?
Also do the holes in the dishwasher frame requirevpredrilling?
The short screws are used to secure the dishwasher to the added under counter bracket. Most screws that are included with the dishwasher will be too long and have a different thread so they won’t work. You shouldn’t need to pre drill any holes. You will just need to add the mounting brackets that are included with your dishwasher if they aren’t pre attached. Once you push the dishwasher in place, one of the holes in the added under counter bracket will line up with the hole in the dishwasher mounting bracket. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Short and very informative to help me properly secure my dishwasher.
Glad it was helpful!
Where do you put the two last screws?
Thanks! Great video
Glad you think so. Thanks for watching!
Should have shown the install of the dishwasher. I know it will vary, buy still would have been helpful
I have multiple videos on my channel that go over step-by-step dishwasher installs!
Yes. I don’t know how to do this.
Great videos, many thanks!
I purchased A Bosch a few weeks ago from home Depot. There is no wall plug so needs a juntion box I assume. Main point being the Home depot installers left me hanging since it shares a breaker with another appliance. I'm going to try to do it myself but would rather not. Any advice would be appreciated!
Perfect, thank you!!!
You are welcome!
Excellent,these Americans invent everything 👍🏻🙌
Work smarter not harder. Thanks for watching!
@@TheAppliancePlug you saved my life ,thanks
Great video. Thank you! ❤
Thank you and no problem! Thank you for watching my content!
M’s husband, thanks man, ran into this exact issue.
Very common issue. Glad to help!
Awesome, BIGGGG help
No problem, thanks for the sub!
Can I use the brackets for a 2 Drawer Dishwasher? The installer drilled into my cabinet one week ago today, and the cabinet solid wood is split and the dishwasher is rocking.
Fill the previous holes/cracks with wood filler to strengthen them. Reinstall the brackets, this should keep it from rocking. Also make sure your dishwasher legs are adjusted properly and level.
Sorry to here that. Yes, it will work as long as you can place the brackets that are included with the dishwasher on the top of the unit for a top mount installation. Let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck!
Good video. Thanks for helping us all out with that trick bracket.
Thank you! Glad to help.
Where's the Amazon link bro??? Edit: Found it eventually. Weird that its so hard to find. Many other YTers just put the Amazon link in the description rather than a link to a link. 😅 I like your videos. Very detailed. Might be worth rehearsing and reshooting to boost your followers. Thx!!!
Thank you again Piney for the support and advice!
So I'm renovating my kitchen and there's no flooring under my dishwasher therefore I have about 2 in of space between the counter and the dishwasher. Do you suggest that I put plywood underneath the dishwasher to close the gap a bit before putting the bracket in?
Great question! I wound certainly do that. However, if possible I would add tile or the same flooring in the kitchen under the dishwasher so it’s even with the remaining flooring in the kitchen. This way if there are ever any leaks under the dishwasher the water will flow to the front and you can catch it early on. Otherwise, years will pass and lots of damage before you’ll notice. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
So how do you secure the dishwasher to the mounting bracket?
Depends on the dishwasher, but usually the mounting bracket comes with the unit. There is usually an indentation that allows for you to bend the bracket into the unit. I would follow the instructions based on your specific unit.
@@TheAppliancePlug - Thank you very much!!
How deep is a dishwasher?
Where do you get this part
It's in the video. From Amazon!!!!
I have a link in the description. Thanks for tuning in!
Good video, good tip. Thanks. This helped get my dishwasher mounted.
Glad it helped!
You don’t finish 🤔how to attach to the dishwasher??
That will vary based on the model dishwasher you’re installing. You will want to reference the installation instructions for your dishwasher. I have posted a number of dishwasher installation videos showing the mounting process. Check them out on my channel to see if your model is one of them. If you’re using this bracket, the only difference would be using the mounting screws it comes with rather than the mounting screws the dishwasher comes with because the mounting screws that normally come with dishwashers are too long to work with this bracket. If you let me know the model number of the dishwasher you’re installing, I can possibly send you additional details to help you get it secured. Let me know if I can further help. Good luck!
The center must be silicone in place or your dishwasher will not latch.
Will this bracket work with an LG dishwasher? It seems the LG mounting tabs are very close to the edges on the washer, and not sure if the perforated holes would line up?
Dishwasher tabs should be universal so just purchase longer tabs. I can't imagine the screw holes being a different diameter.
Lol!! I agree
I appreciate your support!
1:57 RIP Headphones users.
I love it great info, great video!!!
Thank you!
8 minutes to explain something so simple
Okay?
Warning: this video does not show securing the dishwasher tabs to the mounting bracket. Be advised that is EXTREMELY hard to tighten the self tapping screws that come with the bracket, into the bracket. It is very easy to strip out the screw head.
A less expensive solution is to order the proper side mounting tabs ... if the cabinet cavity allows this.
Slam the dishwasher to the top and side mount.
Shouldn’t there be plywood under the counter top
Great question! No, you do not need plywood. This undercounter bracket is a great alternative and it attaches to the side cabinets.
This is what we need to have done correctly. Our installer messed up the job. It was slightly short to the top of the countertop so he used this bracket (and bent it all out of shape) and a piece of wood from the dishwasher packaging. Split the board where he forced screws into the wood at an angle and didn't align anything properly. The only thing he did right was get it level, but it looks so bad...
why didn't you finish the job? IT's so weird when people title a video and then don't do the thing that they said they were going to do....The Diswasher is still sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor at the end of the video😟
Sorry, I have plenty of other videos going over the full install process. This is our showroom and only certain units are allowed in this display
You cannot drill into quartz can you ?
You can, with carbide tip drills. Just don’t. Attaching to the sides is better.
@@fromagefrizzbizz9377 ya I didn’t want to do that at all
Thanks. I do have a bracket!
@@johnc1280 Another approach I've seen is to glue a wooden strip under the counter (certain appliance makers recommend that), and run the top screws into that. You'd use epoxy (or perhaps a slather of silicone). But over time with steam that might let go.
In my case I simply used the side holes because the opening was almost perfectly sized, and I didn't drive the screws in all the way so as to not distort the sheet metal. I could have shimmed it, but decided I didn't need to.
@@fromagefrizzbizz9377 - Yeah, this is why I'm here. The previous owner did that and I've been here less than a year and the glue has dried out and come loose. Granted, he may not have used the suitable glue, but it never looked like a permanent solution anyway.
How do I install the dishwasher. You only show how to install the bracket. Come on man
Not bad, but does not address many issues. What do you do if the cabinet installer does not leave a full 24” space for the DW? The bracket will not go between the 2 adjacent cabinets. Also, the reason he did not show the actual install of the last 2 screws is that they are too long! When you try to screw them up through the predrilled holes they act like a Jack and bend the bracket down away from the underside of the cabinet top. That is also why you cannot cut the bracket down to a length to fit and epoxy it to the bottom of the cabinet top.
If you get a stone or stone-like top, insist on drilled in epoxied in nuts in the right locations to secure the DW.
Please wear eye protection when drilling. I know someone who lost an eye when the bit snapped. Thanks for the content!
Your backsplash has so many mistakes it burns my eyes.
I don't see what you are seeing then, thanks for tuning in!
The link in the description just seems like a way to pimp Amazon items for profit.
I'm sorry if that's how you think but that is far from the truth. I recorded a video to help people mount their dishwashers if they have granite countertops. The mounting bracket I am using in the video is on Amazon which is a trusted online retailer. I clearly state in the description I do receive an affiliate kickback on each product bought. Please think before commenting on somebody's channel. Spread positivity.
Honestly strange sound like he's ever installed a dishwasher. Stutters and says umm to the point where I'm now commenting.
It's okay everybody can have an opinion
I disagree. Thought it was very informative even if he did say “um” a few times. People just love to complain
